Awesome service! Very attentive and friendly, great fair price. They took care with my car and treated it with respect. They reproduced all issues effectively and kept testing the fix to make sure everything was good. Daily status updates via phone. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

Always a great experience. Their work is top notch, their pricing is more than fair, and they have an amazing work culture. During my first visit last year, the owner, Jesus, sat me down in his office to talk through my goals for my aging BMW; so proactive and caring! Best customer service too; the shop manager, Claudio, is so friendly and informative; he'll explain everything in detail to not only put you at ease but also teach you some things about your vehicle, including what to expect in potential future service. Again, so proactive. Highly recommended!

I will NEVER take my car to JR AUTOTHIEFS. You couldn't tell me how much was your hourly rate. "We plug in the diagnosis machine and it tells us what is the problem. And how much it costs PARTS AND LABOR (LABOR? I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU DON'T CHRGE BY LABOR. BUT BY THE ISSUE) I brought my car, telling you what was THE PROBLEM AND THE I EVEN GAVE YOU THE NEW PART (A SEAL) TO REPLCE. YOU CHARGED ME $350 FOR LESS THAN AN HOUR OF WORK. THIEVES. LESS THAN A WEEK LATER, SAME PROBLEM WITH THE CLUTCH. EXCEPT THAT THE BILL WAS GOING TO COST $3650. I BOUGHT THE CAR FOR $4000. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP THAT FIXED IT FOR $1800. THIEVES, CROOKED, LYERS CONVICTS. NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO JUST RIPPED (JR) ANTIMOYIVE

They charged me $140 for brake inspection when other places do it for free. Then they quoted me about $2000 for motor mount and brake service which is so overpriced. I wonder how they manage to make money - probably by overcharging for everything.

Absolutely ridiculous pricing. They charge separately for the inspection and the work to be done. Inspection is over twice as much as nearby competitors. Would never return and would not recommend

Having worked with JR Automotive on multiple key repairs on my car now, I could not recommend it more highly as THE go-to shop I have found in San Francisco. Octavio and the team could not be more helpful and have been tremendously easy to work with even as I’ve sourced my own parts and had them perform the service.

I found this place from calling a popular auto body shop on Valencia Street nearby and seeing who they trust to send their customers to for repair. Jesus was super responsive to my questions on the phone, provided me with a rough estimate, and always answered the phone when I needed to call for follow up questions. I went in for a power steering pump replacement and tie rod end tightening. The place seems like a hole in the wall in the Mission but I trust it :) Jesus was very professional and took the time to answer my questions about the issues with my car. I’m not familiar with car mechanics at all, but I didn’t feel pressured into doing extra unnecessary work on the car. He took the time to explain the issues to me and gave me his honest opinion about what needed to be replaced and what didn’t instead of trying to overcharge me for unnecessary replacements on everything. Service was very quick (2 days) and the cost of service was a fair price, way less than my dealership attempted to charge me.

Terrific experience with JR Automotive. Brought in my car because I had a check engine light that was from a faulty MAP sensor. Called the shop to get an estimate before bringing the car in, brought the car, the repair was quick, and I was charged the same price as my quote when I called. Super friendly staff, will be back for any other mechanic/auto needs.

Quick, friendly service and the car has been running fine. 3 stars because they said they would call before doing any additional work, and they changed my headlights without asking. I already had the parts to do it myself. They also reset my odometer without asking, and it had been tracking the miles on my new transmission :/

Had an emergency with my engine stalling out by the side of the highway and had it towed to JR Automotive. Octavio was extremely patient, informative, and helpful + the shop was able to diagnose the issue and provide a fair estimate for parts and labor. Really appreciate their help in a stressful situation.

Came in for a tire puncture repair. They plugged a hole and then said my tire was leaking slowly from the sidewall and they couldn't fix that. I took it home and looked for sidewall leaks with soapy water and didn't find any, but I did find another major puncture right next to the initial puncture they repaired. I took it back in the next day and they plugged that second puncture and two more in the tread of the tire that they found. Happy that they fixed the extra punctures without extra charge, but they were major leaks and I think they should have found them the first time, rather than me having to find it and bring it in a second time. Also, after picking my car up the second time, there are some areas where the leather on the driver's door has been scratched and ripped. Looks like a tool or something on someone's belt snagged it, or maybe they pushed a tool cart into the door while it was open.

I am required to service several vehicles for my job. I have used a lot of vendors here in the Bay Area and I haven’t found a lot of honest mechanics. However, JR Auto exceeded my expectations and continues to strive to keep us happy and safe. He doesn’t try to sell me work that doesn’t need to be done and he always takes the time to explain what is going on.Jesus has been extremely helpful every time I bring a vehicle in. (I have been a customer 10+ times) each time I’m treated excellent. I do recommend them to all of my friends. It truly is a relief having found this place.

This guy was amazing. He waited 2 hours until I got off work to pick up my car. As long as I'm in San Francisco I will never let anyone but him service my car. In fact I wont even buy a car unless he's with me. Work ethic integrity and a selfless act of compassion went a long way with me. Awesome service.
