J's Performance saved our vacation with customer service on steroids! We were scheduled to leave for vacation and just before leaving, I mistakenly put gas in my new 2024 GMC Diesel pickup! This was on a Sunday night. I called first thing Monday Morning, explaining our situation, and was told to have my truck towed to the shop and that they would start on it right away. I was expecting to be told that they couldn't get to it for days, if not weeks. My truck was on the rack being repaired by noon the same day, with completion early Tuesday. With the swift turnaround, we are able to proceed with our vacation. Many thanks to Karrie, Justin, and Brent. This is a Five Star family business that I can whole heartily recommend!

We have had a truck for a few months that has been nothing but a headache and if it wasn't for Jay's performance Auto I tell you what I probably would have made sure my husband crashed it and burned it by now. But these guys sure do know their stuff! They are very friendly. Very knowledgeable and take the situation very seriously. Our truck has been towed into them four times now and every time they stop what they're doing. They look at the vehicle and they just can't believe what's happening next LOL but in the end they keep telling us we'll have a great truck. That'll run for hundreds of thousands of miles lol

Excellent diesel shop with great people to work with. Not sure if there is anything they won't work on here. I have seen Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Jeep and so much more. Even vehicles from the 1930's. The owner is one who won't oversell you on repairs you don't need. He will even prioritize repairs on your vehicle in case you don't have time or the means to get them done all at once.

I was on a road trip from out of town and had engine problems with my Sportsmobile Camper Van. (6.0 Powerstroke) After having it towed down from Yosemite on the recommendation of Field Van, the entire team at J’s Performance Automotive made a stressful situation worry free immediately. While I did need significant repairs done to the vehicle I felt that they were fair, professional and extremely knowledgeable. They also jumped into action diagnosing and repairing our engine quickly since we were in the middle of a trip over 1000 miles from home. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the area that wants work done on their diesel engines. Thanks to them my family and I are back on the road and our vacation has been saved.

Took Duramax LBZ with low power. They recommended a fast fuel system after that did not fix it. A injector pump after that it had a bad whistle. They said the turbo was going out. Never heard that noise prior left tire on the Dooley was flat they repaired it and left the chrome center cap off $6300 and the check engine light came on on.

I went there a couple months ago for an inspection on a used truck I was looking at. They were timely and detailed and made an excellent itemized printout of what they found and the cost for me to take to the dealer. They were friendly and were able to answer any questions I had. I’ll be going there for any work I need when I finally find the truck I want.

I engaged J's Performance to perform upgrades to my PowerStroke 6.0. They added products from BulletProof including an external Oil cooler, EGR cooler, head studs, fuel injection control module (FICM), and billet water pump. These improvements alleviate some of the design issues of the 6.0, an otherwise great performing engine. Customer service and follow through were very good. If you are looking for a diesel shop in the Fresno or surrounding area check them out as Justin and his team got it done for me.

They're absolutely garbage I had my wiring harness replaced cost me $2,800 and they didn't bother to tell me about the one that's reconnected to my fuel injectors that was broken into pieces even though they should have seen it I have 10 codes popping off from the work they did and they won't even call me back garbage

Very helpful, OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE , will recommend to anyone needing Diesel repair s FEB 20, 2021 ,EDITING REVIEW FROM EARLIER . AFTER RETRIEVING ONE OF MY CLIENT S VEHICLE S DODGE 98.5 D2500 24 VALVE TURBO DIESEL CUMMINS. I AND MY CLIENT DECIDED TO PURCHASE A USED , INJECTION PUMP TESTER SPECIFIC TO THIS MAKE ,MODELANDTYPE THE TOOL WAS I BELIEVE $500/USED CLIENT PAID,AS DID HE PAY TO HAVE A LICENSED SHOP. DIAGNOSE IT'S FAILURE, TO BE THE INJECTION PUMP.?? AFTER I RECEIVED THE NECESSARY TOOL TO PERFORM THE TEST. I TESTED THE INJECTION PUMP, IT PASSED THEIR DIAGNOSES WAS ( ( INCORRECT .?!!? THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE PROFESSIONAL S IN THIS PARTICULAR FIELD, AS WELL AS HAVE THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB I DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SPECIFICALY. I WORK ON THEM I'VE REPAIRED THEM BUT THERE ARE CERTAIN OBJECTS OR POINTS I CANNOT DO BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THE TOOLS(ESPECIALLY THE TOOLS GOING TO BE USED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND COST $500USED/1500NEW) AT THIS POINT IT IS CHEAPER TO SEND IT OUT TO SOMEBODY THAT HAS THE TOOLS AND USES THE TOOLS QUITE OFTEN !!! I AS A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN WILL ALWAYS OUTSOURCE IF IM UNABLE TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE DUE TO NOT HAVING THE PROPURE TOOLS . OR ABILITY DO A PROFESSIONAL JOB. So 1,250 for a used reconditioned part??? So then everybody cost another $1,200 to find out that it wasn't the injection pump it turns out to be possibility ECM itself wiring harness has been checked grounds have been cleaned extra grounds have been had and all pins connections and so forth regarding the electrical harness has been gone through and you come down to being the ECM itself this is a particular unit specific to this dodge injection pump for they made about 18 months I believe it's referred to as a second generation he's also shown that the truck in 2002 was reprogrammed the ECM and the PCM through the dealership so it would apparently they've had issues. So what is going to cost a man 4,500 to find out that you were wrong on the injection pump by the time you could have you corrected it so you can put the diagnostic you would have charged him for a pump and still wouldn't have been the pump he looked through the harnesses like I've done and then you wouldn't find out it wasn't your connections is it being the ECM and apparently there's no place to send the ecms to have them tested so this objects on hold I would not refer to Jay's performance automotive they should be kind enough God knows how many hours they I put hours and days into it looking over the same thing wires connections fuel pump pressure pickup pressure I mean the whole nine yards and sent it to them to have that tested the ECM PCM and injection pump cuz I didn't and it would not have been prudent for me to spend $500 to $1,500 to charge a man for a $300 job depending on what it was they should be prudent enough to at least refund part of the mind's money I don't how many hours they wasted but they make a customer happy I thought they were professional apparently I was wrong I would not send anybody there nor will I refer anybody there by the way they like to contact me or Cindy response back to this we were more than happy to sell them the tool we use to check the pump for what we have in it well it's not mine I didn't buy it so he might want what you charge him and what we started for the tool to find out it is not the injection pump we can verify this and matter of fact I'll put it on video and try to see if I can attach it to this particular review or I'll just send it to you guys to show it's not the injection pump this tool isolates the injection pump from the rest of the vehicle no electrical going into it whatsoever except for through this tool those charges is solenoid inside which is a valve that opens up for fuels to get in there then what it does is gives you a low idle run and a high run. As with the diesel it does not need electricity to fire or to keep running diesel is ignited by compression so long as they diesel vehicle gets his fuel it will continue to run but with the new age the electrical solenoid fuel contro

Had our 2005 Diesel Ford F350 6.0 in for repairs and results were excellent. Taken same truck in for service and rec'd excellent service again. Will not take our else. Have taken our 2002 Ford Explorer in for repairs and rec'd excellent service again. Highly recommend this place. Justin and his crew are great.

We needed a code clear and this place charges $125 per/hr. So we figured that it wouldnt be more than an hr just to clear a code. However, this place end up charging over $250 just to clear a code for a part that we had replaced. When we picked up our truck they said it took them over 2 hrs to do the job. Really? Two hrs just to clear a code that we have told them from the beginning the part was replaced. This will be our first and last visit to this place. Don't recommended to anyone and don't be surprised if they come at you with a bigger bill.

1 year after repairs: Had the dreaded “drain plug leak” on my Excursion w/7.3 PSD. (Not a drip, it was dumping oil). Ford wanted 4K to pull engine and change the oil pan. Justin said he could fix it for about $400 with silicone and voodoo. 1 year later it’s still not leaking. Happy camper and will fix same way again whenever it starts leaking. He also changed the front end and shocks last year. Still drives like new.
