We broke down in KC on our way to St louis. It was in the afternoon. All other shops told us they couldn't see us. These guys got us in and it turned out we needed a new engine. Instead of taking advantage they told us our vehicle (2014) had a warranty and may be able tohave the engine reached for free. We wouldn't have known this. I appreciate their honesty. They also let us sit in their shop while our ride (4 hours away) came. Thank you Moose and the rest of y'all. Your kindness and honesty did not go unnoticed. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone close to the KC area. It's comforting to work with honest mechanics

Great experience! Got us in right away when our car engine overheated, came in under the quoted price, was ready earlier than expected, and saved us such a headache. We will definitely be bringing our car back to Kevin’s for future needs!

Been calling around everywhere to get an inspection done on my vehicle so I can re-register it. Every shop I called wanted me to book minimum a week out. Called Kevin and he got me in first thing in the morning for it the morning after I called. Only place that would squeeze me in for a job that takes 5 minutes. Very helpful and Excellent customer service. 10/10 recommend

I really appreciated the straightforward way they spoke to me about my vehicle. They did the work and in my opinion went above and beyond to help me out by installing an extra part! I will definitely be back. Update: I had a brake controller installed here before a trip to Idaho to tow back a travel trailer, and initially, I was very pleased with the service. However, when I went to hook up my trailer, I discovered the controller wasn't wired correctly, which was stressful to deal with and required last-minute repairs. It was a frustrating situation, but I'm hoping this was a rare issue. I appreciated the professionalism of the staff, but I wish that they would have made sure the part was working before sending it off.

The service they did on my 2021 Nissan Versan was amazing, they did a great job, and were more than accommodating for everything I asked and gave me a more than fair price. I will always be recommending this place. They are located downtown so they can be busy and sometimes can get pushed behind. But they are always nice and respectful and accommodating. Thank you for the amazing work !

This will be my go-to auto shop now. They kept in touch throughout my repair process and got approval before ordering any parts or doing any work. Answered all my questions realistically and I never felt like I was being upsold or pressured into extra services. These guys are trustworthy and know what they’re doing. Thanks for the good work!

10/10!! Skip the headache of selfish and greedy, corporate car places, and come here instead! They workers were so kind and the Company is honest! There was no lying and trying to milk me of my money. The workers also seemed fond of their owners- a great sign. If you want genuine, trustworthy, and honest people to work on your car and give you direction. This is the place to go.

Prices seem competitive. They are willing to help in a pinch sometimes. However, due to volume, it can sometimes take a few days for them to get to your vehicle, so you may have to drop it off and either leave it for a bit or drop it and pick it up several days before they are able to compelte the service. While this is inconvenient, the guys are always kind and communicative about the situations.

Kevin and Moose are the absolute best. This is the only shop I will go to moving forward. Even though my car was totaled out, they treated me with great courtesy and respect and made sure I was okay with everything my insurance company was doing.

I cannot say enough good things about the guys at Kevin's KC Brake and Auto. I work for a local nonprofit and have been trying to help a single mom get her car working again. Kevin and his team have taken such amazing care of her! Their team is knowledgeable, great at communicating and very fair and transparent about pricing. The owner, Kevin, is a class act!

I had brake-work done in late September, and brought my car back in December to have a look at my breaks bcuz of a constant grinding noise. They took another look at the breaks and rectified the situation, at no additional costs to me, and I'm truly pleased with their work. Great team over there!

If you like shoddy diagnostic work and parts you didn't ask for at a huge markup, this is your place. Called me to say "hey we replaced 2 spark plugs without asking you even though you said they were relatively new and you had tested them. Won't affect the price much though." They tacked over $70 on for what would have cost me $12 and taken 5 minutes.

There are a great group of technicians here that saved me during an emergency I had. Ironically, I was at the shop to drop off some old steel parts to have them picked up for recycling at their shop. While I was there making the drop off, my entire steering system collapsed on the right side. I was stuck in the driveway of the shop and totally immobilized. 3 of the guys came out right away to assess the damage and jump into action. This wasn’t anything planned and they had other repairs that they were working on so I felt really bad. All of the guys were kind and professional as they began fixing the steering issue. After roughly an hour of working on the car, they got everything installed and buttoned up. It was good as new. I can’t thank the guys enough for the quick response and their willingness to jump in to help without warning. I have been coming to the shop since moving to KC so I knew that they were good technicians but this incident just proved that they are also good people deep down. Thanks a bunch guys!!

This is the worst place ever. DO not deal with these people they are a scam. And should be sued for poor practices. I would give this business ZERO Stars. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday 1/3/24 to be diagnosed and they had my car until the 12th and it is still not fixed. They did not even diagnose or call me about my car until the 5th and they quoted me a price of 668 to fix the issue Throttle body, and replace a battery, I did not hear back from them about my car until the Friday the 12th only to be told it was not the throttle body that there additional codes they were getting saying it was the wiring in my fuse box, I was then quoted 1500. I decided to not proceed. At that time I had called and reached out several times for updates because they certainly don't call and update you, and not once was I quoted any fee for diagnosing the problem, but they said they had put the original parts back on the car since I chose not to pay the 1500 to get car fixed, When my tow truck arrived they told the driver that there were not ready and were still replacing my original parts to the car, so the tow truck driver had to leave and I had to call back and have the re-dispatched again and luckily at no charge. I finally got my car back $200 later, had to have it towed back home. Sadly, they charged me by the hour to diagnose my car which none of that was authorized by me in the first place. They did not get consent from me and allow me to choose whether or not I wanted to pay that. Now nothing works on my car and it is worse than before they got it.
