They didn’t tighten all the bolts on the wheels! I had to go back to get the alignment corrected because the steering wheel was tilted to the left. Their online appointment system doesn’t work at all.

Went for a normal oil change at Valvoline the other day and they told me I need a new battery, and that the battery currently in my car is the original battery it came with. Which I thought was odd because I got a new battery at this Ken Towerys location on 10/3/24. Went back to Ken Towerys and explained the situation, they looked at my car and realized they had not actually changed my battery. So I had paid for it and didn’t get it. They replaced it this time but did not offer me any sort of compensation for future services, and they certainly did not apologize, and acted as if I was inconveniencing them. So double check the work you get done at this location!!

Great service. The man (i forgot his name) was very helpful as he helped me make the decisions on the tires for the right price. This is the place that I will definitely come back because I have been here before for tire repair due to nail.

Had been to another tire shop to try and have my tire plugged. They were pressuring me into purchasing two new tires stating that my tire was unrepairable (nail). Went to Ken Towery's and they were able to fix and patch my tire no problem. I appreciate their transparency and honesty. Highly recommend

Proud of the fact they do a good job and they are efficient however make sure you have your tire pressure checked before you leave because all four of my tires were only on 30 PSI pulling out the door after getting four brand new tires

bought two groupons for synthetic blend and tire rotation for a subaru and jetta that ended up costing me $90 extra for the price difference of full synthetic. they accidentally drained my cvt oil instead of engine oil which i had done myself a couple months prior(so it does happen) but they are supposed to be the professionals and i had just had my cvt oil professionally refilled by wildt brothers for a decent amount to have the right cvt oil put in because you aren’t supposed to mix cvt oils which is ultimately what happened. so it was a stressful experience where i can’t say with any certainty that my car ended up better off than when it came into the shop, in fact it could be just the opposite. also they didn’t rotate my girlfriends tires because they couldn’t find/ didn’t have a lug nut master key and it cost just as much for the price difference in full synthetic oil as my subaru when her jetta took less oil than my subaru without the tire rotation to boot.

i came for an oil change, & of course they found additional things that need work. there was a woman mechanic there (i wish i got her name) who explained everything thoroughly to me. i appreciated it, although the issues were still under my manufactures warranty- i would not have been aware, without them. great crew, keep it up!

I was met immediately with a warm hello. Even though I only needed 1 tire the service was courteous and respectful. They had the tire I needed in stock and I was back on the road in about an hour, and the place was busy when I got there!

I’ve brought multiple vehicles, personal and fleet, to this location for everything from routine maintenance to more significant issues such as catalytic converter replacement. I have always been very satisfied with the work and cost. The staff is great and they’ve always worked diligently to get my vehicles back in a timely manner.

Staff is very personable and upfront about repairs and estimated cost. They also let you know of other issues that you may want to address in the future. The techs usually are able to finish the repair of your vehicle within the day which is great.

After living in the area for 7 years, I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY GO TO GARAGE!! Every single employee showed their passion to fix the issue and cared for me like family. Honest and knowledgeable Diesel mechanics are hard to come by and they have a jewel there now! Thank you to the entire KT team!

I came in with a tire that had been patched the week before in a different shop in another state, and it was flat again. The staff at Ken Towery's took care of it for FREE. Their service was quick, they explained everything clearly, and they were so gracious to myself and my kids who were with me.

I brought my car here for a tire balance and was quoted almost $2000 for four new (Michelin) tires, plus new ball joints. They did not offer any other options over the phone, like cheaper tires, for instance. As it turned out, I needed two new tires and no new ball joints. I would not recommend bringing a vehicle here without getting a second opinion afterwards.

I have been to Ken Towery's on Shelbyville/64 several time. The staff is always attentive, helpful, and friendly-professional. They have provided excellent advice and service over the years. This is a well-managed business with good people.

Sister's care needed work before she left for college. We dropped the car off Thursday at 12pm for several things (oil change, tires, brakes, squealing noise) and were told it would be ready Friday morning. Friday morning we get told it won't be until the afternoon. We get a call at 4:30pm Friday saying it would be ready in 30 minutes and head to the store. We ended up sitting for over 2 hours and were at the location past closing. Stephen kept feeding me lines (need to finish the back/front brakes, just needs a quick adjustment, etc) and it would be taken for a test drive, all the while it's still on the lift. We got the car back and drove it home. On the drive, my sister noticed a squeal, which we were told was also fixed. Saturday morning, we spoke with Jason who said to bring the car up so they can remedy the situation. After all of the issues we had, I wondered if they had even done the oil change. I found the oil change sticker in the window, but they didn't bother to even remove the old Valvoline sticker. I then decided to check the dipstick, believing they charged us, but didn't actually change the oil. To my absolute horror, they started the change, but didn't finish it. The drained the oil and COMPLETELY NEGLECTED TO PUT ANY OIL BACK IN!! My sister drove that car home, then up to another location and back later! Then Jason had the nerve to try and say we brought the car up in that condition! My advice? AVOID Ken Towery, ESPECIALLY THE SHELBYVILLE ROAD LOCATION if you like having your car functional.

Do not bring a vehicle here unless you want to wait for a month for them to continuously order the wrong part. Not to mention the tires I purchased last year brand new are splitting apart (thank you Tony’s Brake & Alignment for actually finding that issue). There was no issue with tire prior to my appointment with the shop. If you do decide get serviced here, keep ALL receipts so that you can demand a refund for ineffective product, as I will be doing.

I brought my car in with a gear shifter problem. The people who helped me went above and beyond to figure out the problem, get a part for it, and fix it. On top of all of that they made it extremely affordable and educated me on some different things and I appreciated that so much, especially considering many places tend to take advantage of women and their lack of knowledge of cars.

We recently had a flat tire and decided to take our car to Ken Towery's Tire & Auto Care for a replacement. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Not only was the cost significantly higher than where we originally purchased our tires, but the quality of service has proven to be extremely poor. A few months after getting the tire changed, we went to a different shop for a routine tire rotation and discovered that 3 out of the 5 studs/nuts on the tire Ken Towery's worked on were cross-threaded and over-tightened. This resulted in the studs breaking off when the wheel was removed. None of the other tires, which had not been touched by Ken Towery's, had this issue. It's clear that the technicians at Ken Towery's Tire & Auto Care lack the basic competence required to perform even essential tasks reliably. This incident has caused us significant inconvenience and additional expense. Given this experience, I would not trust Ken Towery's Tire & Auto Care with my vehicle in the future. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reliable service provider.
