These guys (especially Chad) were awesome! I had my car towed to the shop Monday night, they were able to diagnose the problem, get the part ordered, and replaced by Tuesday afternoon! They were so kind, understanding, and efficient! Highly recommend!

This has been the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic shop. They were thorough, timely (they kept me up to date on everything along the way), and very cost effective for the quality work and experience I received. Got my annual maintenance and they are not only thorough, they update me on any possible future maintanance, helpful, welcoming, affordable and the vacuum my mats! Love these people!

We have had really great experiences here! Dan has been very patient and kind to us admittedly uninformed car owners. The whole team has been great about explaining the issues and our options for addressing them when we’ve brought our car in over the past couple of years. We’ve never felt pressured or upsold. They have gone above and beyond to help us out.

This place was recommended to me a couple of years ago and I will recommend this to anyone else. I've been bringing my Subaru here for service for about 4 years and the people here are awesome. They are super friendly and always explain everything. Pricing is transparent and they clearly communicate the things that they really recommend to do and the ones that are optional. I'm super happy with this place and won't go anywhere else.

We have always had good experiences with our vehicles here. When getting my oil change this last time,they spotted a small needle like metal protruding from the back side of my tire, which was causing a very slow air leak. They were able to fix it right away. I am forever grateful.

Moved to Portland about a year ago and dreaded the day I would need to find a mechanic. Honestly, Ken's is the best. Not pushy at all. Felt like I was given honest quotes and my car is running perfectly again. If I ever need service again I know where I will go.

As a woman, I generally find car mechanic dealings tedious because I always feel lied to or talked down to. I did NOT have that experience at Ken Van Damme's Automotive. Everyone was friendly and professional. I appreciated that I got an estimate up front that was accurate. I also appreciate that fo a service where I was going to bring my own part (but in the end did not) I was given clear pricing for both "bring the part" and "we supply the part." I needed 3 distinct things repaired. I was able to get an appointment about 6 days after my email inquiry. The work was done in a timely manner and I'm very happy with it. This is my new go-to auto shop.

Fast, kind, fair pricing, but best of all HONEST. I initially took my car to Sun Auto on Sandy and they quoted me $1800 and 7-10 day to replace my accelerator pedal system (the sensor on my accelerator pedal was broken). Ken Van Damme's charged me $370 and got it done in just a few hours. Everything is working just fine now! Really glad I called for a second opinion and glad I brought my car here. Thank you!

Phenomenal service! We got a piece of something in our tire that caused it to deflate and we needed it fixed fast as I had to drive out of town the next day. Ken Van got our tire fixed and ready by the next morning! Thank you so much!

I want to do a shout out to Dan and the crew at KVD. Not only is their shop the place my classic car-guy buddy hears good things about, they've been taking care of my vehicle for several years and have always communicated clearly and been up front about work, costs and options. The icing on the cake was a recent visit where I got a hands-on lesson on how to check my power steering fluid just to be extra safe.
