From the start, this shop has been kind and informative. I'm from a small town, and they give off that "neighborly" vibe that I often miss living in the Metro area. Their prices are incredibly fair. I just got a PPI done and not only were they efficient and had managed to squeeze me in last minute, but Kevin brought me out to point out a couple things they'd found and explained what they meant. (In this case it was just paint.) And I felt more confident purchasing the car. I'm so happy I found this shop, they're wonderful!

My truck recently developed a decent size coolant leak, which looked like it was coming from the water pump, and an oil leak that i thought was due to a bad oil pan gasket. Kevin asked me to drop it off for a few days to take a look. Hours after dropping it off, he had done the assessment, on both the oil and coolant leaks. Found the oil leak was not the pan, but from the oil pressure unit, and provided a quote for service. Quote was very fair, and he commenced and completed work the next day. Talk about fast! Great work, very fair prices, and doesn't mess around! Highly recommended if you are looking for an independent shoppe! Thanks Kevin & Co.

Our family has been using Kevin as our sole mechanic for years now. He was the main mechanic when it was still Kevorks Auto Care and then he bought it and changed the name to Kevin's Auto Care. Top notch service and super reasonable prices. We won't take our cars anywhere else. We even bought our 16 y/o daughter a car Kevin bought from one of his customers. He went over the car with a fine tooth comb to make sure it was mechanically sound. We couldn't be happier with the service we've gotten there over the years. Highly recommended!

The Toyota dealer recommended a bunch of fixes to my 2012 Siena, totaling $10,000 (I am not kidding!). I brought it to Kevin to assess whether my minivan was really in need of so much repair. Kevin gave me an excellent summary of the items recommended by the dealer. The most expensive item on the list was $5k to replace the timing cover gasket. The dealer had noted that the gasket had seepage. Kevin examine it and figured out that the “seepage” was actually axle grease. I had a problem with the sway bar linkage and front axle last year and the dealer fixed it. However, before the issue was fixed axle grease was being splattered and that landed on the cover. There was no need to fix the gasket! Kevin recommended changing the fan/drive belt, as the dealer had recommended. The dealer price for that was $372. Kevin replaced it for $160. More than the cost savings I appreciate Kevin’s clear explanations and realistic assessments of repair needs. I am very glad to have him in my neighborhood!!

ATTENTION WOMEN AND SENIORS. I am a senior and a woman, my car is my freedom. Before Kevin I worried that I might be taken advantage of by repair shops. I never have to worry again. THANK YOU KEVIN! Kevin's Auto Care is the only place I will take my car for maintenance and repairs. I found Kevin several years ago after calling several shops as well as the local dealership for a quote for a repair. Kevin's quote was quite a bit lower than the others. I was sceptical so I read reviews. I was impressed so I made an appointment. The work was done on time and the cost was a few dollars less than the estimate. Kevin has taken care of my cars now for several years now and I won't go anywhere else. Kevin is a man of high character and these days that says a lot. Everything repair I have had done has been done well, first time every time with no surprises!

I called Kevin’s auto care because my car was starting to shake as I turned my wheel, which is scary when you have small kids in the car. Kevin’s Auto Care was able to get my car looked at and fix the part that was broken right away and with ease. The whole staff was very kind and communicated with me whenever there were updates. Their price was extremely affordable- I highly recommend coming here if you have any car issues.

Kevin's Auto Care is fantastic. I've been taking my family's cars there (three so far) since I moved to the Portland area in 2016, and they've always been so great! Always very busy, which I honestly love to see, but the turnaround times are surprisingly fast. Always honest, and the work is quality (never needed to go back for the same issue after a repair). The prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and dependable, with great communication and followthrough. Since I don't know much about cars, I've often taken my older cars (a 2001 and 2003) in for an appointment, telling them "please let me know what's due for maintenance or any issues I've not noticed that should be fixed to keep it on the road". And on numerous occasions, I'm told "everything looks good, no work needed!" I've given every opportunity to be charged for something unneeded, and it never happens. There have even been times where they offer options to fix an issue much more cheaply, with used parts or a workaround that would keep me driving without a huge bill. I'm always confident that they're giving me the advice they'd give friends and family, not trying to run up the price on my bill. I grew up in a household where having a great mechanic was a major point of pride, and it's satisfying to know I've got one in Portland. I was honestly a little sad when I traded in my 2003 for a 2023 and realized it would probably be a while before I'd have a reason to take my new car into Kevin's for a repair! 🤣

I completely trust Kevin's auto care! They provide explanations and are reasonably priced. There's absolutely no upselling. We moved further away from their shop, but still take all our cars to Kevin's for repair. Highly recommend this shop.

I have been taking my car to Kevin for 3 or 4 years now and I couldn't be happier. I have personal relationship with the guy who will be working on my car. In the past I just dropped my car off somewhare and mostly just dealt with the cashier. Take your car to Kevin, and like me, you'll find out what providing superior car care should be.

Kevin's is our family's favorite mechanic ever. We can absolutely trust him with our cars and our wallets, which is an amazing feeling. We've been going there since it was Kevorks (and Kevin was the lead mechanic) over a decade ago. The people are very honest and kind, and Kevin absolutely knows his stuff. Highly, highly recommend!

The most important quality we need in an auto mechanic is honesty and Kevin is above honest. He has repaired a problem with pinpoint accuracy at less cost than the dealer, who quoted replacing an entire system: inc cost for part and labor. Unlike the dealer, he told me the best gas and oil to use in my old car; no diagnostic charge. I could write more but space is limited. He’s just the best.

We have been taking our work vehicle to Kevin's for years. From dealing with Lisa or Letha? at the front desk to Kevin, it is always a easy to understand the process with a estimated repair time and price over the phone or at the shop. There is no BS. Just a diagnosis of the problem and a recommended fix. Zero dishonesty, scare tactics, and upselling. They will answer any questions you have and will try to save you money when possible. Recently I brought my car in for AC issues. Most likely a recharge with dye to monitor any leaks was recommended and completed the following day after car was dropped off after hours. The process and pricing was explained in detail before any work was performed and it was more then fair. Picked up my car and everything was working fine. The next day the same issue occurred. Warm air no AC. Called Kevin's again and arranged to drop off car again after hours. Following day the problem was diagnosed to be the compressor which I was hoping would not be the problem because it's a spendy repair and replacement. Kevin called and explained the situation and gave me a estimate. I gave the go ahead and it took some digging by Kevin to order the correct compressor but it arrived after a few days and the replacement was installed and now the car is nice and cold again with excellent AC. Kevin reclaimed the refrigerant from the last last recharge and used it again. He did not even charge me to have one of his techs vacuum out the system again and recharge it with refrigerant and dye the second time around. I guarantee most shops would have charged and any Stealership would charge without a doubt. Before I went to Kevin's I talked to my Stealership service person to get an idea of what racket they would run on me. They wanted a 500 dollar estimate, and 488 dollars for a recharge. If the compressor was bad, it would be a additional 2800. She was so pushy and used scare tactics to try to sucker me in. With that in mind I called Kevin's and their was no estimate charge. Plenty of questions answered and information given over the phone. Simple to arrange a appointment and get the work done at Kevin's with again the utmost professionalism and honesty. Anyone who is inexperienced, nervous, with car repair needs, and getting shafted by other shops and Stealerships will have no worries at Kevin's. My final repair costs were less than I had anticipated. Parts and Labor was very affordable and was less than half of the stealership price.

I have gone to Kevin's (Kevork's) Auto Care since around 2013 or so with the multiple cars I've had over the years. I've also referred multiple friends to Kevin. He's a nice person and a great mechanic, and the reason I keep going back is because I trust him. How many mechanics can you think of that you feel that way about? My cars don't need much care, and so Kevin probably doesn't even remember me by name, but I sure remember him and will continue to visit him each time my car needs care. I've gone to see him with a range of vehicles: Mazda Tribute, Mercedes, Mitsubishi Mirage; my partner took his 350z there multiple times. Each time we've both felt Kevin gives honest assessments and doesn't price gouge. Labor on cars is always going to be costly, because it's a trade, but if you can't do it yourself, what do you expect? Kevin's pricing is fair if not much better than anyone else I've been to (of course it all depends on the issue and parts), and most of all he actually fixes the problem. I've left other mechanics in the past because each time I took my vehicle in, somehow another issue popped up a week later which always made me skeptical. That's never happened here, so I will keep going back. Thank you Kevin!

I was able to get in to have my car looked at within a very reasonable amount of time and the communication throughout the whole process was fantastic.
