Absolutely horrific experience with this “business” and the owners, Alex and Carlos Zamora. I can literally not stress enough to stay as far away from this place as you can. Paid 17k upfront to have our truck fully upgraded in December 2021 — my husband and I were manipulated, lied to, jerked around and given excuse after excuse for over a year (like so many other people who have left negative reviews as well). I can’t even begin to describe the ordeal we went through, specifically with Carlos — trying to get him to answer the phone, answer specific questions, and any attempt at getting answers as to what was pending or when our vehicle would be ready was like pulling teeth. He even at one point refused to speak with me when I asked him to provide confirmation numbers for the parts that were ordered (which he never provided by the way!) We finally had enough and took our vehicle out January 2023, even after Alex begged us to let them keep it to “finish it” and “it would only take a few more days”. When we showed up to pick it up, Carlos was conveniently MIA, we were denied entry into the establishment and a tarp covered the window. I mean…how sketchy can you be? When we finally were able to pick it up hours later, it was clear that the vehicle had barely been touched, there was no way it would be “ready in a few days” like they said, and all the money we paid was for nothing. At this point we weren’t surprised, but still extremely disappointed. Alex admitted that our experience was a terrible one and threw his brother under the bus. He blamed our entire negative experience on his brother Carlos, claiming that he is actually the owner and that he should have never left him in charge. I’m sure this was just some pathetic attempt at trying to get us off his back. In the 13 months that our truck sat in their shop, the engine was taken down to the block, the transmission that was “finished” needed to be completely redone by another mechanic in town, and we were missing countless parts, among other issues and problems they left us with. Essentially our vehicle was a shell of a truck. Verbal and written agreements to get our money back have still yet to be honored and these two thieves continue to be in business. Alex was more concerned about us writing a negative review than getting us our money back LOL. How disappointing that people can be so deceitful and manipulative. Perhaps going to the media will force them to actually do the right thing for once, it’s clear the countless lawsuits (and more to come) have done nothing to change their behavior and business tactics. EDIT: after leaving this same review on their Facebook page they have blocked me and hidden all their reviews from the public so you cannot see the negative reviews. You can also no longer comment on their Facebook posts — this is where people were demanding answers and calling them out. They are liars through and through.

We are extremely thankful to Alex and his team at Knuckleheads Garage. They were able to swap an engine in record time! My work vehicle was down and he and his team brought it back to life. They also saved me a lot of time, worry and money. I highly, highly, recommend ANYONE to use these guys. It's a shame I can only give them 5 stars, they deserve more.

Alex and his team do amazing work, Alex is very professional and honest about the work being done. I have a 1980 El Camino that had been sitting for a long time because I wanted to find a good and trustworthy mechanic to work on it and Alex is that guy! This will be the only shop that touches my treasured classic

I want to give a shout out to the garage for the excellent work that was done on my daughter’s car. This was a complete engine replacement. Everything was better than could be expected. I live in New Hampshire, and need to trust the person working on my daughter’s car. I’m 2000+ miles away and can’t be there. I feel Alex has my daughter’s safety with the car up front with all of the work. I did not feel used in any way. This is the second job they have done. I will be using the garage for my daughter’s future maintenance. I very much recommend knuckleheads garage.

BEWARE they don't keep their word or do a good job. I have a Refund Ageememt with them and they still owe $1,300, which it has been a long time since receiving any payment as agreed. The refund was to be paid back in seven weeks. Only little amounts, not the agreed amount has been paid. It has been many months. Always telling you misinformation about the process of the car. Paid them upfront too. They told me to remove my car, they refused to continue working on it.

I'm so glad I found these guys!! After calling more than a few shops and these guys right away stood out, before we got to the price, they helped me get the part I needed quickly and under hundreds of dollars. Once I got there within 2.5hrs I was back on the road. I highly recommend these guys.

My experience at Knuckleheads Garage was more than I could have ever expected. I made an appointment to drop my truck off and they were ready for me exactly on time as agreed. Alex and his team were extremely friendly and professional when I showed up guiding me into my own specific spot they prepared for me in the shop. I dropped it off a little bit late in the afternoon but to my surprise at 9:30am the next morning, they already had it diagnosed, fixed and ready for me to pick up. Literally no the best shop experience I’ve had so far in this journey of restoring my grandfathers truck. Knuckleheads Garage is now the only shop that will work on this truck until it’s complete.

I've given Carlos over a year to make things right. I paid a lot of money to have my engine & transmission rebuilt. (Transmission was outsourced). I've returned the vehicle to them on 2 occasions to fix things like a missing engine mount bolt, oil leaks, missing parts etc. The things they overlooked are astonishing to say the least. They also busted the windshield while in their care. I was told I could get it fixed on my own and send them the bill. I did that last summer only to be told to wait a little longer as they were having $ issues. I waited a couple of months and re-sent invoice from the installer. I even included a picture of it getting installed...no reply...crickets... The vehicle has run horrible since getting it back from them. I've literally put less than 100 miles on it since being in their shop a year ago. The final insult was when I discovered the original transmission dipstick was gone and a GM dipstick that is too long was put in it's place. It clearly says "Dexron" on the handle. They re-installed it so this is on them. It is clearly 3-4" too long. 2nd insult - I pulled the plugs in attempt to figure out why the vehicle is running poorly. I paid for and gave them 8 new Motorcraft spark plugs. The ones I pulled out are a different brand, possibly the ones originally in the car. Same goes for the coil packs, not what I purchased. Where did my new parts go? Where's the $ they owe me for the windshield? No way I'll be going back. A warranty is only as good as the person standing behind it. These guys are shady as hell. Avoid this shop.

Guys stay away from this place. They are nothing but scammers. And try and rip you off. Took our truck inn because it left us stranded on the freeway. We'll there diagnoses was that the engine was no good and it needed a new one. They gave us 3 options 1. Do an overhaul $8000 2. Open up the engine and see if it can be repaired it. 3. Get an salvage yard engine and swap it out $2500 labor only. We Took the the truck somewhere else They called us and said it's catalytic converter. Paid $1200 and truck was running the next day. These guys are nothing but thieves.

This 'shop' has had the vehicle for over 7 months, have paid over $4k for repairs, and now the company won't even return calls so I don't even know if they still have the car!!! Time for a call to the courts I suppose! Received the car back in worse condition than it was when brought to them! This business takes advantage of Military members and refuses to accept responsibility for their mistakes. This company is a bolt on business, you want serious engine, fabrication, or exhaust work done GO ELSEWHERE!!!! Spoke with an attorney that was part of one of the many lawsuits against this business, which include from the State of Texas, and one attorney relayed this shop had taken advantage of an almost 80 year old senior citizen and would have no problems going to court with anyone else against these hack job wanna be mechanics!

Absolutely the worst shop I’ve been too. Once they have there money they have no motivation to get the task done. They will lure you in by saying “ oh if you pay full you’ll be priority” my buddy’s vehicle has been sitting in the shop for 3 months. He payed full. They’ve lied to him about getting it done in 2 weeks. The amount of times I’ve heard them say oh it’ll be done by Tuesday next week. We go in no progress has been made. Then they say by the end of this week and nothing. The guys at this shop all of them tell you what you want to hear. Such a poor work ethic and not an honest shop. They bite off more then they can chew.

My husband took his car there and what should have been a 2 weeks job turned into a 3 month job. They don’t know the meaning of communication. Told him about 3 different times that his car would be ready a certain day so he took an Uber and waited there for 5 hours for them to tell him his car won’t be ready that day. They did this 3 different times it was absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Poor communication and treaten to charge storage fees on a vehicle they are still working on (which is illegal, can't charge storage fees until work is done!). This shop has had full payment for the last 3 months and the vehicle for almost 8 months. At times will completely refuse to answer questions regarding the repairs and the estimated time frame inwhich the vehicle will be completed. Other times completely avoid answering calls at all, and when calls are answered each brother has a different lie in regards to the repairs being done on the vehicle. Went and checked the courts register of actions against this company, yeah the next person may want to do this BEFORE considering taking your vehicle in...they've been sued many times including by the state of Texas, how they remain in business or maintain clients is at loss to me!

They are straight up garbage brought my vehicle to their shop took them 2 years to fix my vehicle always bringing excuses and using different parts on my vehicle and removing my a/c compressor and lines. When I saw my compressor gone I was like why is it not here and the owner told me we took it of because it does not work and u don’t need it. They do what ever they want to the vehicle and then I drove my truck and my transmission was not the same it was slipping and they told me we don’t know how u brought the truck in. They made my truck worst i highly don’t recommend this trash place. All they do is take your money.

They did not use parts that I requested even after I paid for them specifically. On top of that my vehicle took an additional 3 weeks to be ready for pick up. Would not suggest anyone to have their vehicle serviced at this business.

We took my car to them to replace the clutch and if you know about clutch replacements, there’s a lot of other bolt on parts that will need to be taken off and of course put back on. Well, long story short, my starter broke off after a few weeks after the job was done. It was hanging from the electrical wires due to the top bolt being missing. We all know that if you don’t tighten a bolt properly it will get loose after time. Well, instead of the owner having common sense and being honest that accidents do happen, instead, the owner blamed the issue on us. He said that it could have been “your bad driving that caused the starter to fall off”, or since my “car was old, that parts will fall off”. So the moral of this review is this, if you have an “old car” or “drive bad” go somewhere else.

this place is trash beware. both owner brothers are thieves. wont even pay there young out of school technicians, BEWARE!!!!!!! they have multiple lawsuits. They take forever to fix the car and they end up charging customers storage fee. RIP OFF

Im not going back to this place. From an oil chwnge to oil pan seal to transmission leaking oil. This technician was trying to rip me off. Trying to make extra money. Wont go back and about to report them to the bbb. Just wanted a sumple oil change. Come on guys.

Took my car to these two so called mechanics. Trusted them that they were going to fix my car from a simple check engine light and a valve replacement. My car came out with tons of problems that were not originally there . My car came out with a messed up ignition scratches on my car check engine light was still there. These guys gave the round around for 8 months wouldn't answer my calls. Took 2500 from my credit card with my car being worse than what it was. Thankfully a trustworthy mechanic took care of all these problems hassle free. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THESE TWO CLOWNS!! LOOK ELSEWHERE BEWARE!! coming from a native el pasoan.
