Subaru Master mechanic and a shop with all the fixins. Dyno, tuning, motor swaps. They can do it all. Specializing in Japanese or import. Today when my car was overheating I brought it in ready to replace a water pump and drop $500+.... Not only did they fix my issue, they did it fast. They thoroughly troubleshot the issue and made sure it wasn't going to happen again. Not only did it save my car, it saved me money and my time. Thanks again kraken! 10/10 will be back again

I took my 2017 WRX CVT to Kraken Motorsports to get a Cobb AOS and cat back exhaust installed. Max did a great job with the installation of both. My car being a CVT has additional electronics in the engine bay that made me wonder how an AOS would fit, but Max was able to fit it in there well. I also do appreciate Shawn and Ben with getting me in the schedule and providing recommendations for my WRX. They answered all my questions to include what type of clamps they would use for the AOS. FYI they use clamps that are better than what the Cobb AOS comes with in order to give the hoses a more secure fit. Overall, top notch work and would definitely recommend Shawn and team for any work done on your vehicle!

I consider myself lucky that I stumbled across this shop. I blew the motor on my Focus ST a while back and it was a stressful situation. I live quite a ways away from civilization which made the process of finding the right shop exceedingly difficult. Once I found Kraken (via Google) I gave them a call and immediately noticed a level of professionalism seldom found in this industry. The entire process was methodical and well planned out, even down to text appointment reminders and logistics. Their estimate and my final bill were nearly identical which is phenomenal. Because of the long distance between my home and Kraken I've spent many hours in their office for necessary maintenance and such. I came to appreciate both Ben and Phil as they're both friendly, communicative and professional dudes. They both helped pass the time with car talk and stuff. Sean (the owner I believe) took the time to answer any and all questions or concerns I had and went the extra mile to help me understand various mechanical aspects of my car. I have to throw a shout-out to Max (technician) as well. Very friendly, helpful, and proficient at what he does. Also shout-out to the tech that has an ST... Sorry dude, I forgot your name but I appreciated your ST knowledge and such. In conclusion I would 100%, unequivocally recommend Kraken.. As a matter of fact I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. I have nothing but confidence in their work. They are masters at their craft and it was a pleasure working with them.

Kraken did my STi swap for my 22 WRX. I was surprised I was the 1st one to come to Kraken for the job. They were patient honest & professional. I even had some worries about noises the (used) transmission made when entering 4th gear. They could have up-sold me in a big way but instead were honest. The issue is a common one that could be fixed ($$$) but wont cause a major issue. Anecdotally, I have also heard that local mechanics and pro shops don't work on Subarus specifically because they couldn't do it as well as Shawn (Kraken owner). It's very refreshing to find an honest business. We live in an age where every business just wants to milk you for every cent... Seems like Kraken wants return customers over a quick buck. I know they wont be able to get rid of me or my WRX.

While they are mostly a Subaru speed shop, they work on other things, too. Very straightforward and honest on repairs. Recently informed me that the alignment on my very new vehicle was worse than I thought (thrust alignment was out as well as the front), and I should have a dealership fix it under warranty first. I would recommend them for repairs, maintenance, and upgrades/mods.

I recently accepted a new position in operations management where I was asked to maintain a fleet of Subaru Crosstreks and was given an almost impossible task, "Keep these vehicles active for 2 more years". When I accepted the position 2 vehicles were inoperable and 1 vehicle was on the way out the door... I had seen some of the amazing work that Kraken has done on rally cars, race cars and other import vehicles, I knew they were capable of really making the STI's sing but... but would they be able to help me manage a fleet of aging Crosstreks and do so without breaking the bank? Sean, Ben, Phil and myself were able to work out cost effective repair plans that got all my vehicles up and running. The beautiful part is, we were able to develop maintenance plans to ensure that our vehicles are getting serviced to the specific needs of the boxer engine. The savings in tow bills alone has more than justified the switch to Kraken not to mention the cost to maintain my vehicles has gone down. We rarely have an issue with our vehicles now and we able to provide reliable quality service thanks in part to the expedient, reliable, quality service given to us from the Kraken Motorsports team. Our guys are so confident in the service that we received from Kraken that our employees have started taking their personal vehicles there! Lastly... We a Fort Worth Company keeps money IN FORT WORTH, I really appreciate the opportunity to do business with someone I can shake hands with at the end of the day and not some faceless corporation. Sean has consistently made me feel like part of the team and has tailored his efforts meet my needs as a client and that means the world to me. If you have a Subaru, take it to Kraken.

First and foremost there is t enough room to put my whole story and it hasn't quite ended yet so I'll be brief and to the point. My car came in to Shawn and his team a complete mess due to a horrible rebuild from another mechanic. Shawn completely broke down every issue that it had and my wife and I were overwhelmed. He sent it off for a forensic report so I could use it in court as proof against the previous mechanic. Shawn got my motor built and tuned in around 9 months (not all the time was an issue with him) parts etc... and a little of us talking about certain things before doing them. A few months later I was stuck on the side of dnt and called him. He had it towed to his shop and in less than a week he called me with his findings. When he called he explained that due to a shop error he was completely rebuilding the motor at no additional cost to me. My heart sank. I had all but given up on good people. He proved me wrong. This leads to now. On no part him or I the engine starting throwing codes and had to be brought back. Long story short. They are yet again rebuilding it and only charging me a min for some parts needed. I'll come back with part 2 after I have it back to add more here. Great honest guy and a cool shop. Shout out to Ben, Chris, and Phillip for continuing to help Shawn make it the best place. Highly recommend 👌

I have had a bad brake jobs before and I wasn’t going to let just any crew mess with my car. Firstly, I was made aware that I may not need all four brakes replaced, turned out I only needed the fronts done. I expressed that money was a bit tight and I was made aware that I had options. Up front pricing and working within my budget… I love no nonsense, professional service. Kraken got my car sorted out with upgraded parts over stock and a price less than half what the dealership was going to charge. Seriously, this is the crew you want caring for your whip, their reputation is well deserved. I’ll be back and I’ll make sure my people know where to go.

First time coming here and they were helpful with the questions I had. Reasonable pricing on the aftermarket parts I needed, they are a distributor for Cobb. Seems to be a solid option for JDM enthusiasts, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to them for your questions or performance needs.

My son got the STI bug and we found a 2016 with some real issues. Heard about Kraken and have been letting them do all the work to get her in tip top condition. Right now we’re having them swap in a 575 hp short block from P2P Racing! Great shop if you want it done right!

Took my imported 1997 Subaru Domingo there to get a clutch replacement done. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. Let me know of some other work the van could use but didn't try to up sell me on it and was just giving me insight which I appreciated. Will be taking the van back for any future issues I run into.

I really wanted to like this shop, but trying to charge me $1200 for a new engine wire harness for a loose ground wire?! And if you weren’t the mechanic who put the motor in, doesn’t mean it was done poorly. That said mechanic saved me A Lot of money, tightened my ground wire and my car is running PERFECTLY since. The ground wire wasn't even in the wiring harness. And my motor already had over 70 miles on the old map with no issues. All my issues started the moment Calvin touched my car. And all those readings will fluctuate with a loose ground that is RIGHT NEXT to the harness. I would expect a mechanic to actually use a volt reader or another type of diagnostic equipment to verify an expensive part needs to be replaced vs. just "wiggling" the entire harness and assuming an issue. Wiggling cost of the $200 diagnosis fee sure seems ridiculous. Finally, the entire time I was there Kraken employees and Clavin kept saying "Oh, it was installed by someone else." in a negative way! Where this mechanic was able to see the loose wire and easily fix it without charging me a "wiggling" fee. And it's a WRX STI!!!

Excellent customer service. I stripped a screw and was in a bind and they were able to help me same day. Really helped me out. Can’t say thanks enough! Kiddo was even able to watch Netflix in the waiting room, which was a hit for her.

Friendly shop, made me feel comfortable about what the procedures that would take place on my vehicle. I did not actually do work any with them, just a diagnostic. But Shawn was very nice and experienced when looking at my Turbo Mazda.

Shawn and the team at Kraken are awesome! Have had them do alignments on my autocross Civic the last couple years. This past weekend I got into a bit of a situation. I was replacing ball joints in my garage and stripped a bolt. I brought the pieces by and Shawn was super helpful, fixed my mess up and saved the day. Best shop ever!

This is a wonderful shop! I had my first experience with them and I was very satisfied with the work that was done. They were very communicative, transparent and quick! I had a lift kit installed, steering rack boots replaced, wheel hub replaced, and an alignment dome and had the car the next morning. The pricing is a bit steep but you get what you pay for and I got excellent service. About $165/hr

This shop and the owner Shawn are honest with me and full of knowledge, I searched high and low for a shop for my build and this is a shop I will drive 2 extra hours to get too, And a decision I don't regret one bit. I've used this shop exclusively for my Subie for her first mild build and then an entire built motor barely 6 months later. Shawn (The owner) is greatly knowledgeable about the platform and can reasonably get you the build you want with the least wasted money to get there, I haven't had one bad experience with Kraken and they even babysit my Subie for awhile during my build. The techs are professionals and I haven't noticed anyone in the shop try and upsell anything at all. All around A+++

Went in for tire rotation and balance first and then for new tires. Experienced the great staff and great mechanics and owner both times as a new customer. Definitely recommended for anything Subaru! Cleanest shop I’ve been to! Lexi the shop dog is also awesome and friendly!

After a Honda dealership returned my Civic Type R to me with a slew of error codes and uninitializing electronic systems, I took my car to the awesome dudes at Kraken for diagnosis. They quickly discovered that the dealership had left my positive battery terminal loose after replacing the battery, remedied the issue and performed the proper procedure to re-initialize my systems and clear codes. All the guys at Kraken were professional, knowledgeable, helpful and I will 100% be back in the future. They’ve got an adorable mascot dog to seal the deal. Thank you Kraken!
