I went to L&L Auto Service because it had a certified National Child Passenger Safety technician to check my newborn's carseat. Daisy took great care of us. She was knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. I felt like our family's safety was in good hands. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that the garage is very busy and has limited access. Our original appointment had to be rescheduled because of it. I also had to pull my car in and out of the garage several times during our inspection to make room for other cars being serviced. That said, the general customer service made me consider switching mechanics to L&L for our vehicle.

I took my 2015 Chevy Spark to be serviced today. It was a great experience. Louis explained every step of the repair and why each repair was necessary. The price for the repairs were competitive and the work was quality.This shop has earned my business in the future. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

You cannot find a better auto repair shop in Chicago. I have been going here for a couple of years and have always been satisfied with the service. They are honest and straightforward about what your car needs, but help you prioritize what should be fixed to ensure the car is safe to drive. The prices are fair as well. I can’t say enough good things about this place! If you need your car fixed, TAKE IT TO L&L! They also have a lot with some really great used cars for sale, so if you’re in the market for a car definitely check them out.

I have been coming here for a while and I came across this place by looking at highly reviewed mechanic shops. I drive an Audi A6 so finding a shop that works on this car is a challenge. Whenever I do find a mechanic, they will charge an arm and a leg because of how difficult it is to do work on this car. I decided to give this shop a try about a year ago and I will never take my car anywhere else again. This place is owned and operated by a father and son, both of which are very knowledge, honest and stand by their work. You don't have to worry about any shady actives, price gouging or run arounds, they will tell you exactly what the issue is, how much the cost is and then they will get the work done in a timely manner. If you're looking for a new mechanic that you can trust, this is the place you want to go to.

Very friendly, helpful, and honest family buisness. We drove over an hour to look at a truck. We did not end up purchasing it because we wanted something bigger. I was messaging back and forth with Daisy for a few days prior. Her and the mechanics spoke with us when we arrived. and they were both very honest and friendly. I would buy a vehicle from them anytime.

This shop has earned my loyalty and I recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic on the north side. I never feel taken advantage of here, I’m always well communicated with, and transparency with cost is always appreciated. They’re quick with service and always professional. As a woman, it’s hard to find an auto shop that respects you, your time, your money, and not talk to you like you’re dumb. They’ll be my go to for as long as I live in the area.

Very kind and knowledgeable mechanics and staff who go out of their way to show you things and explain to you in detail about what they are doing or have to do with you vehicle. Cost is a bit higher than other locations but the service is top notch. They even threw in some small repairs on the house which I appreciated tremendously. They’re now my go-to auto repair shop.

I’ve been coming to L&L for a few years for standard maintenance and even a few issues that required significant work with my older VW. Jr. and the crew are always empathetic and honest, and very affordable. Most recently I had my catalytic converter stolen and Jr. and the shop couldn’t have been better about helping me navigate the insurance claim process and working with my insurance company in my behalf. I’ve had nothing short of a perfect experience every time I’ve been in the shop and always happy to give L&L my business.

I’m a little late on the review as I took my car here in the summer. We had some suspension work and an oil change done. Very friendly people. I was able to drop my car off in the morning since I live close and they called me when it was done. They charged exactly what they quoted me. I plan on coming back as I need some more work to be done.

Awesome first time experience, will definitely be back! Live the neighborhood and popped in on a Saturday to see if my grinding breaks could be checked out. They got me in and fixed breaks right away. Super nice and helpful staff! Reasonably priced too! My friend down the block has also used them and highly recommends.

I’m so grateful I found their auto service! As a woman, it has unfortunately been a frequent experience of mine when taking my car into other shops or dealerships that I am told additional services are absolutely necessary despite only coming in for an oil change and then attempt to charge me hundreds more. At L & L they have been thoroughly honest and helpful every single time and they do not take advantage of my lack of knowledge, but rather work to inform and educate me. When they suggest certain work be done, it is very clear that they have considered the cost and necessity and have worked with me to find good options. Most recently, I replaced all my tires as they were really worn down. They knew my price point and didn’t try to convince me to spend more. Truly, I’m so grateful that I can trust their integrity and quality of work. They are wonderful and I recommend them to everyone!

Six stars if I could. These guys don't play around. Fair pricing, and they will not try to sell you anything extra you don't need or want. They occasionally service my old Mercury sedan that is by no means cosmetically perfect and they treat it like they would a brand new Bentley in their shop. Finding a mechanic you can trust is not easy, but your search can end here.
