I’ve been coming here for over a year now and have always had a great experience. The mechanics do great work and the front desk staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. Shahde, in particular, was a gem and really went the extra mile with ensuring that other aspects of my car (battery, alignment, etc.) were running smoothly during a routine oil change. She patiently explained everything going on with my car and answered all my questions without upselling/pressuring me into any unnecessary work, which I appreciated. The servicing itself was done way faster than initially anticipated, and I was able to pick it up same day rather than waiting until the next morning, which was the original time quote. It’s not always easy to find a place you can trust with both reliable service + expertise as well as great overall customer service, so I’m really glad I found this place! I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!

I have been here once before and had a good experience, but like most people don't know who to trust regarding car repairs and maintenance. I had a diagnostic ran and was quoted over 4k to get an oil pan replaced. This was not the main issue that i needed fixed but i cluldnt believe it so I shopped around and found mechanics on the area who would do it for $600- $800 which seemed to be the standard with parts and labor when you search on the internet. I brought this back to them for them to tell me that i shouldn't get it done at all because it was such a slow drip. I wasn't concerned about the repair I wanted to know why their price is almost 8x that other people were charging. I do not feel I should continue with their business.

I will never bring another vehicle here nor will my family or friends. I called Wednesday and talked to shahde about getting all new tires on my company car as well as have the brakes checked. I empathized multiple times the importance of needing the vehicle back Sunday for work Monday and was assured if I dropped it off Saturday afternoon it would be done Sunday before they closed. When I dropped the vehicle off Saturday afternoon I provided the information from the fleet company that manages my company’s vehicles which was needed for payment and once again stated that I needed the vehicle back the following day for work Monday and was told it “wouldn’t be a problem”. Sunday at 1:30 pm I decided to call and check on the status because I hadn’t had any update calls from them. When I called i was told by shahde that they are working on it and when i once again stated I needed the vehicle for the next day I was told it would be done. A few mins after 4 pm I once again called because I didn’t get any calls back since I called them the last time. This time she originally said “it should be done by now” and put me on hold. When she got back on the phone I was told they were waiting on the approval and payment from the fleet company to be released and wouldn’t be available till the next day. So I told her I would be coming up to get my work equipment out of the vehicle so I could use my personal vehicle for work Monday. When I arrived to lake ridge auto my vehicle was at the same place I left it at when I dropped it off. I went inside and she then told me they have the tires there but are waiting for the approval to do the work. After speaking to my boss I was told to get the vehicle and have it serviced the following weekend. When I went back in for the key I explained to them my situation and that I would be taking the car back. I then attempted to ask about trying again next weekend. At this time shahde turned her back to me and neither her or the bald tattooed mechanic next to her ignored me and did not answer my question. That is horrendous customer service and very rude and is the reason I will never bring a vehicle back here and will never recommend this garage to anyone ever. If I could put zero stars I would have

Took my car for an alternator repair, they gave me a list of things wrong with it and I left with my car no longer starting. To make things worse, they took my vehicle registration out of the car and I am ready to get the police involved because this is ridiculous. I wasn’t going to pay for extra stuff when I already know what is wrong with my car and they refuse to change my alternator without a new battery and my battery is only 1.6 years old.

Went in for a routine oil change and they found an oil leak. They quoted me 1.6K to fix this, I went to check other car repair shops and every other place gave me a significantly lower price. This place also said I needed various other services that when I took to get several other opinions, I was told I would not need for another 30k miles. Look elsewhere especially if you’re looking for affordable options.

Called with a simple question if the shop could take a look at my car. As it is a sports car that sits low with stock suspension, I was calling ahead to see if they had lifts to support my vehicle. Was told not to even bring my car in and when asked if a technician could just take a look at my car, I was told no. I was looking for a care center that I could reliably take my vehicle to for any and all repair needs but this shop does not seem like the place.

I went for an OIL CHANGE. These fools would not do the oil change and kept trying to tell me to get a diagnostic test. Which I ended up doing AFTER the tech lied to me and said they did the oil change but the car still wasn’t starting. Only to find out he never did the oil change. They had me sit for 5 hours just for a diagnostic test and told me I need a whole new engine on a 2019 Nissan Altima that I’ve only had for 2 years. I decided to get the car towed back home and it most definitely is not an engine problem. I don’t even think they really did my diagnostic test. This place is sketchy as hell! All I needed was a freaking oil change and filter change! Not a whole damn $7600 engine.

I've been going here for years with great service. There has been times of some issues but the management has always taken care of me to make it right. My review 6 years ago was a 5 star. Update, I’m not sure what happened to the location but unfortunately had to lower my rating to a 2 based on recent service. I was trying to get a quote on service that my dealership quoted but said that a regular service shop should be able to do easily. The rep who answered my call was difficult and continuously talked over me when I was trying to explain my situation. I also asked for a manager but did not get one. This has previously been not an issue in the past and not sure if this is a result of new management or staffing.

Lake Ridge auto care has always been good to me in the past turned my truck in for repairs around noon on a Saturday was told that Sunday my truck would be ready call on Sunday morning and they said that it wouldn't be done until Monday what is up ???? Update I said before lake Ridge auto has always been excellent but I'm kinda wondering why did it cost me $91.67 more than what they originally said???

Took my car in for repairs. Had to take my car back to fix what was supposed to have gotten fixed the first time. When I got my car back after the fix, my car had more issues. My car doesn’t want to start up now. Something is rattling when I accelerate. I did not have these problems prior to taking my car to Lake Ridge Auto. Front desk personnel was accommodating. The technician that worked on my car needs more training or needs to be fired. I’ll go there for inspections but NEVER again for anything else.

I make appointment previously to this place and when I arrive they say I waste my time making appointment. The appointment was supposed to be at 6PM and I came at 545pm and they said , we cannot service your cart,, they close at 7. Ridiculous. After me shows up another car , and they service this truck, maybe they know each other. Pretty disappointed

Not sure if they had staff changes, but in the past they provided great customer service. I got an oil change and a state inspection recently and was not impressed with the front desk customer service. Came to pick up my car and after not seeing my car in the front, I told the guy I'm here to pick up my car, but I don't see it in the front. His response "I don't know where your car is." Why tell the customer their car is ready for pick up if you don't know where their car is? Also, I had to come back twice because the first time, they didn't put my car down for a state inspection, only an oil change. We've been coming here for years, but there seems to be some changes in staffs. Update- The manager called and apologized regarding this. I really appreciate the call and how they listen to their customer to work on providing better service.

We have been taking our cars to Lake Ridge Auto for years for service, repair, and yearly safety inspections. I appreciate that they take the time to thoroughly check our vehicles and keep us updated on preventative maintenance. Their staff is friendly, kind, and always professional. Especially Akeem!! I brought my Chevy truck in for an air conditioning repair and also asked for a 27-point check. The air conditioning repair was done well and worked great now for a reasonable price. Unfortunatly, for the wellness check the team told me that my transmission was in desperate need of attention and would need to be fully replaced, heavily emphasizing the urgency of this repair that would cost thousands of dollars. For such a large repair, I wanted a second opinion and took it to Chevy for an all points check and asked they specifically look at the transmission. Their specialist came back and said the transmission was fine but needed routine maintenance. I've come here for regular inspections and didn't have any issues but beware of overselling unnecessary repairs.

The people are super nice and I love the vibe the front desk staff gives off. However, I'm definitely not going here again. It's probably cuz I'm a girl, but after doing a quick diagnostic on my car (07 Toyota camry.) They were trying to charge me a soild $5,000 if not that then $6,000 on all their recommendations. My car cost $8,000 at that point I might as well scrap it and buy a new one ain't no way. Took it to a different mechanic that specializes in Japanese cars and paid $940 for my repairs, that's in including labor. Plus $240 on some tires I bought myself. New guy removed and replaced suspension control arm, put my tires on, changed my battery, and a few little things here n there. Guy also did my state inspection for me which wasn't even including in what Lake Ridge quoted me. So imagine how much it would've costed if I said "might as well" and had them do my inspection to. I mean for just replacing the arm they were charging $1,993.22. Business is business and who am I to judge how much any place charges compared to others. They're in Lake Ridge so I'm sure their usual clientele can spend like that, but I'm definitely a bit of a bargain Betty. So if you need your semi decent "trashbox" (keeping it pg) fixed they're not the right place for you.

BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!! After driving my pickup truck and then it not restarting, I had it towed to Lake Ridge Auto Care (LRAC). However to my shock & disbelief, LRAC incorrectly diagnosed the problem and told me I had a blown head gasket and needed a TOTAL ENGINE REPLACEMENT! I informed the LRAC management, this could not be as the truck was driving just fine before it wouldn't restart. I refused their suggestion to dismantle my engine so they can further troubleshoot. I had my truck towed to Michigan Auto & Tire in Woodbridge where they replaced the battery, battery terminals, and the alternator and the truck was back running fine. Had I taken the advice of LRAC, which was terribly incorrect, I would have likely bought a new truck and cost me and my family thousands of dollars we desperately need because my son is currently in college. Be careful when getting advice from LRAC, because their technicians either don't care, are inept, or out for a big pay day!!! Never Again!

Less than a week after getting my state inspection done here my back two wheels nearly came off on the way to work breaking a stud off. They either never tightened my lug nuts properly or did not properly inspect my vehicle.

My dad got me started here after I bought my first car in 2006. I still take my car here. The only place I like better than these guys is in Reston.. and my favorite place in Reston is owned by these guys. There must be something about the way this place is operated that makes it so great. It’s not just the actual work they do bc the pre work experience and post work experience is so great too. My wife doesn’t know anything about car shops and she feels really good about this place too

One thing about Lake rRdge Auto Care edit: alas they became ripoffs. made it easy to choose them as "my mechanic." Their customer service is superior to that of every other shop I have been to in this area. That really means a lot. In addition, their work is reasonably priced and of good quality.

Prices are too high now. No longer 45-50 bucks for a regular oil change, they’ve bumped it up to 65-67 dollars MINIMUM and they’re only using their products. I get everything is upmarked because of inflation but I’ll probably have to start changing my own oil at this rate. Not paying close to 100 bucks for an oil change, especially for an older model vehicle. Thank you Lakeridge Auto, you guys held it down for years. Sad to see you go

This place is honest and excellent! Today Kevin kindly took the time to place air in my tire. I called in a frenzy because a gas station attendant told me my tire stem was too thin and he basically drained all the air out of my tire. I immediately called Lake Ridge auto and Kevin advised to come right in and he’d take care of it. Kevin did just that and assured me the tire stem was just fine and pumped the tire to its recommended pressure. Thank you, Kevin your act of kindness saved the day.

I went to Lake Ridge Auto Care for repairs to a broken engine mount found at a gas station during state inspection because they were recommended by Car Max and they worked with my Max Care extended warranty. Kevin Stough was friendly and knowledgeable when I called he assured me the vehicle would be looked at the condition verified and he would contact and handle with my warranty company. I didn't have to wait for an appointment. I dropped the car off and a few hours later realized I also had been adding antifreeze and asked them to check that also. I received a detailed and fully explained estimate from Kevin and he also had received authorization from my warranty for the work they were covering. They found additional engine mounts damaged that were missed by the gas station and also found a leaking radiator. I authorized my portion of the repairs and the deductible and the car was ready earlier than estimated. Couldn't ask for better service. As a background I was in the vehicle repair industry for the majority of my life and the things I noticed were ...my car was repaired on time at the estimated amount, clean no finger prints , they took the initiative to both diagnose fully and get additional work coverage by my warranty. Wow! Kudos to the Owners, Service Manager and Kevin! Lastly I needed a shuttle Ride to get my car home...again excellent service from Christopher the shuttle was clean and he drove safely and was actually interesting to talk with! I highly recommend this business and again thank everyone not to exclude the technician that repaired my car.

They charged $125 for s diagnostic that they don't roll into any costs of repairs. We decided not to go with then for the repairs because the costs were high and the quoted work would have been less than somewhere else. I expected to at least get the fully documented issues for $125. I got one sentence and items they wanted to include in the work we're left out. I wasn't impressed.

We have been using Lakeridge for our vehicles since about 2018 and we won't be back. This is the 2nd time in a row they have not reset the maint required notification once the oil change service was completed. We have had to return both times to have it reset when it should be reset by the technician. No explanation no sorry customer for your inconvenience. Also they recommend services at a higher rate but have a special for the same services. For example we received an oil change and tire rotation they recommended we get the air filter and other services included in their 164.95 spring special yet we paid 220 plus before a coupon for 20.00 we found. You would think they would make customers aware of specials when they recommend these extra services but they didnt. They have unfortunately lost a long time customer.

Went to do my inspection here as I done in previous year at this location and failed because of few items. A few I can agree with the inspector Paulo Crespo, but there are others that I can say he doesn’t need to act as if he knows it all or thinks customer don’t know anything. Literally a terrible personality compared to other inspector I dealt at this location in the past. 1. Reverse light are not required in the state of Virginia - Fail for the first time, which in the past it has passed at this same location. The reception said they changed the manual last year, but last I checked, I didn’t see any change, so not sure what she was talking about. 2. Engine mount broken, idk what part Paulo looked for but definitely it is not the engine mount so please next time be more specific. It is a piece that does not hold the engine, which only has two screws. See photo. I wonder if I didn’t know and had the shop do the job, would I be charge for replacing the piece anchor to the mount or the engine mount? Let’s be honest, those price would be a big difference. The other items I would agree, which I would fix, but I would not return here to redo my inspection just because of Paulo. Guy need to work on being more friendly. Literally after he fail me, he just comes and says you fail go to the counter they will explain what you fail. You’re the inspector, why have someone else tell me why I fail??? You know what you looked at, why can’t you tell me in person and point out at the problems like other inspector do?? I would have accepted and says agree or disagree or explain further what he saw. On previous time, the inspector goes over what you fail. There are people who do not need mechanic to fix cars, but we must go to you guys to get the inspection done because it’s require by law. So make sure to explain to your customer why you fail them rather than send us to your receptionist. The receptionist doesn’t know what exactly you saw. Do better!!!
