Went in for an inspection. Mary did a great job checking me in and after inspection was done she also checked me out with outstanding service. Nice place too. The waiting room was clean, plenty of chairs to sit on, soda vending machine and a coffee bar. Very pleasant area. Other staff members were very friendly. Great job! Thank you!

I took my car here to get fixed not long ago. We got a call that my wire harness got damaged and that we had to pay an extra $3,000 just to replace it. We questioned as to why it got damaged. Whoever was working on my car was the reason as to why my wire harness got damaged and then lied to us on the phone about it. I had to get my dad involved because they kept giving me the run around. It felt like because they knew from the beginning that my dad would be the one paying for the repairs they thought they could get one over on me. Anyhow, we pressed them to understand that we would not be paying that $3,000 for a mistake THEY made. When they refused my dad had to threaten his lawyer only then the owner of the shop decided to take it into his hands and pay for the damage. I was originally only supposed to get my break pads rotors replaced. When I got the call that everything was finished and I could pick my car up, I noticed my break pads weren’t even changed. I had to then take it back to get it finished and when I did the front desk associate was insanely rude to me. I didn’t cause this whole situation. If your guy was honest from the beginning and knew what precautions to take then y'all wouldn’t have had to pay for that wire harness. You said it was already deteriorated but it wasn’t. It sparked and deteriorated because your guy didn’t take the proper measures. I don’t even write reviews but oh my goodness, this was the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had at a car repair shop. Do better. We are coming in and paying so much money to have our cars properly inspected and repaired.

I’m so glad that I finally have a neighborhood mechanic! I’ve taken my car to Lambs for the last couple of years for oil changes and state inspections (btw: check out their coupons). For repairs I have always gone to the Acura dealership. Last week I needed unexpected repairs done. They communicated what came up in the diagnostic process with pictures and detailed notes. Then they provided options separated by level of urgency. I was able to compare prices easily and Lambs was more than fair. Their customer service was impeccable; both Mary and Josh were clear and concise in all our interactions. I will definitely continue to be a repeat customer!

This Lambs couldn't replace an exhaust flange stud. I ended up taking my truck to Muffin Muffler and Auto in South Austin, and they had it replaced in an hour.

One of the main reasons I like this location is because they tell me what maintenance needs to be done on my car but they never pressure me and try the forced hard sell to make me spend more money.

I don't mind people trying to upsell me. But this was not cool. Telling me a price without showing me the breakdown, hoping I would just sign off on a bunch of extra nonsense I didn't need. I worked as a mechanic in one of these places as a young man , it's gotten ridiculous. Straighten up your act and I'll return as a customer.

Even though they were extremely busy, they took the time to evaluate my vehicle, order parts and repair it within 24 hours. They were very professional and are lifesavers as I depend on my vehicle for my job. I would highly recommend them for anything vehicle related. Thanks again for going above and beyond.

I went in for a state inspection. Took some time to finish, their technician was running late. But the people there were friendly and respectful. They have a nice seating area with some complimentary beverages. It was a good experience overall, no complaints.

Im not an expert on cars but i did give a very low rating mainly because i was upset about the quote i got (around $2,700 for three new parts). However as of today my car is holding up nicely and Lambs did a great job fixing my car. I do wish the prices wasn’t so high but its hard to compare prices when im not a mechanic. I would suggest in getting different quotes from different mechanics and looking at their ratings. Lambs was the closest mechanic when my car broke down so they were my only option.

On August 13, I took my car to Lambs on Slaughter Lane for diagnosis of two issues: a non-working AC and several warning lights on the dashboard. I specified that I wanted to know the diagnosis and repair costs before any work was done. A few days later, Josh R informed me that they could fix both issues, so I approved the work. However, upon picking up my car a few days later, I noticed that all the warning lights were still on. When I asked Josh R about it, he said he would need to check it again, despite previously assuring me that the issues were resolved. He offered to take another look the next day “free of charge,” but I reminded him that I had already paid for the service and couldn’t leave my car at the shop again. I requested to speak to the manager, but he was unavailable. Josh reiterated that he would help me if I returned the next day, but the issues remained unresolved. On August 14, I spoke with the manager, Chris, and explained the situation. I requested either a full refund to get my car fixed elsewhere or half back so they could complete the repairs. After some argument, Chris agreed to refund me in full, and I had him sign a receipt for the agreement. Shortly after, he called to apologize, saying they couldn’t complete the work as promised because they lacked the necessary tools for my Volkswagen. He admitted that Josh was wrong in his diagnosis and needed more training, but agreed to refund the labor costs and finish working on my car. The following week, they took my car again, but when I received it back, the warning lights were still on, and the AC was completely broken. I tried to contact the manager multiple times, but he never returned my calls. I eventually filed a dispute, which was denied, and while cleaning my car, I discovered a part they claimed to have fixed still in its original packaging under my seat. I now plan to take Lambs to small claims court to recover the rest of my money. I do not recommend this shop.
