I had the best experience at lamb’s today! Adrian was so helpful, accommodating, and efficient. I called this afternoon and within 2 hours, my tire was completely repaired for an unbeatable price. I will definitely return for any future car/tire troubles!!

Have used Lamb’s on S Lamar for years—to repair flats, to purchase new tires, and for annual inspections. Was just in for the later. Always communicative and helpful. And they use technology effectively for communicating. They’ll keep my business.

Live in Austin? Then get used to nails in yours tires. Like several times a year. Lambs is my go to place for this. Very good, very professional, properly priced. I use the one on South Lamar but would suspect they are the same level of good! Good luck out there.

I received great service for an oil change at this location, from Adrian. I called ahead to check the estimated wait time. They told me about 1.5 hours which was accurate. This is longer than my usual oil change but they do a full inspection of the air filters, etc, as well. This also included a tire rotation. I had a coupon which dropped the price of a synthetic oil change to about $50. I had to pay extra for my oil filter and this was explained very well to me. Total cost was around $75. The parking lot is adequate. It is located on the busy street of South Lamar. I wouldn't hesitate to return here for another oil change. I would recommend booking an appointment if possible.

Been here twice and this is what it means to go local. Lambs may be a chain, but compared to at least three other auto shops on Congress and First that are local/small businesses, they are the only ones not price gouging and are transparent with all services. Gave my car a free look when my tires were low and pumped them up, including giving me free advice by a very kind lady. Other week I got four tires replaced for my Jeep Patriot for $520. Best deals and highest quality service I’ve had since living in South Austin.

I had never been to Lambs before. My car was towed in with a very flat tire late in the late afternoon. Christian greeted me and was extremely helpful! He arranged for the repair and also told me about several services including inspection- which my car needed!! They finished the car in the morning (and had a Lyft service that took me back home the evening before!) Lamb’s text/digital communication is excellent and kept me updated with time and pricing. Really great customer service, knowledgeable mechanics. Much appreciated!!!!!

I took my car in for a broken motor and track in my window. It took 2 days to get back to me and when I got the email stating what my car “needed” they provided a 23 point inspection with pictures and didn’t even address the broken window. I didn’t want a complete car diagnostic, I just wanted a quote to fix what I brought it in for. It was $100 for them to provide the quote which in all honestly was probably for the complete unasked for inspection. They were very manipulative with the info they provided and used scare tactics to basically tell me my car was a ticking time bomb. It had just been in for repairs at another shop so I found this very suspicious. I’m taking my car back to the original shop that just completed all the work for a second opinion. That was $100 dollars thrown down the drain for nothing.

Christian and the team were awesome in getting me in first then when I was outside waiting for them to open. [Keen to be first of the state inspections]. I drive to four different shops on a Tuesday morning for a patch on a tire and everyone had at least a two hour wait. I called Lamb’s and they said they could get me in immediately so I zipped over and was greeted at the door. Adrian was very helpful and I was in and out in less than an hour. The waiting area was clean and everyone was nice and I’ll be back to get my next set of tires there (:

I have used Lamb’s several times over the last year. They offer friendly service at a reasonable price and finish in a timely manner. I also appreciate their pickup/drop off shuttle (Uber in my case at least) service.

So far every time I have gone to this location for any kind of maintenance or repair on my car it has always been somewhat affordable. The reception guys inside are really nice and they make sure you stay updated on anything dealing with your vehicle. If need they try to have any fixes done as soon as they can. Took about all day for an oil change and a valve replacement but cheaper and not as long of a wait compared to how long Howdy Honda was gonna have to hold my car before they could look at it.. *smh* thank you Christian at this location for being so nice and helpful each time I have issues. Lol <3

Communication was very Disappointing I made more calls to the shop then they called me to get updates on my car.. I was told two different times that the car would be ready on two different days and it wasn’t both times that I called.. until my final call 30 minutes before they closed on a Saturday and was told the car had been ready so I wasn’t able to pick it up on Saturday due to the poor communication ..I had to wait till Monday morning to pick up the car…

I took my Chevy Silverado dually here for a workup because I wanted to be sure that everything was in good condition ahead of hauling a load of horses cross country, plus the check engine light and been going on and off intermittently for a week or so. While my truck is a little older as a 2013, it has less than 100k miles given that it is used sparingly in hauling once or twice a month, primarily around Texas. Lamb's entire quote came to $13,256.52, with $6,500 of that being just the cost in parts for a new turbo charger. Because $13k is a heck of a lot of money, I called around and learned that a new turbo charger should be about a third of that price, even when buying from the dealership. I also learned that a turbo charger on a well-made truck with less than 100k miles really shouldn't be on the verge of failing, so I went elsewhere for a second opinion. The garage where I got my second opinion and that I ended up using did not detect any issues with the turbo and also thought that the pricing was absolutely insane. They replaced the NOX sensor for $800 ($250 less than the same work quoted by Lamb's) and that was it! That was the only issue that they found and the truck has since made it to TN and back and to other shows in TX over the rest of this summer. I've been waiting on writing this review to see if something would go wrong in an attempt to potentially give Lamb's the benefit of the doubt in potentially at least being right in at least their diagnostics (setting aside exorbitant pricing) but this has not been the case as the truck has been great. Now, I am fully convinced that Lamb's saw a girl who doesn't know a ton about trucks (I'll be the first to admit that!) and saw that the truck was involved with horses, and thought they could charge whatever they wanted. I'll include a picture of one page of the Lamb's quote so that hopefully it can serve as a fair warning to others. Lamb's didn't end up charging me for diagnostics when I confronted them about the ridiculous pricing and I'm guessing that this was in hopes that I wouldn't write this review, but I feel that I need to share this experience to spare others this experience. I would urge you to steer clear of Lamb's if at all possible. There are too many garages in Austin to use one that is determined to make a buck at the expense of others.

Transparent, understanding, and friendly! I get anxious going into auto shops because people think I'm stupid, but Christian immediately understood my problem and even educated me on a few things. He was also able to make sure I could afford an unexpected tire change during my visit, their prices are better than most places I've been. They were also quicker than I expected so thanks to Lamb's for an easy day!
