Had a flat tire, was driving with a donut. Not fun. Luckily, Lamb's Tire is across the street from my job so I was able to drop off the car with the gentlemen. Had me a new tire in no time and the car drives great again! So happy. Big thank you to Scott, Tony and Rowdy! I'll be back for that oil change soon!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Made an oil change appointment and was quoted a price over the phone for a 50% discount offer. Brought the car and had the oil changed. Upon payment, after the performed the work, they stated they could not honor the discount and billed me double the price of the quoted price! Had they told me prior I would have left. Place is a scam and don't stand behind their word. Can't imagine having real repairs would be any better. Too many other places around to settle for these people.

This place is a joke! 3 hours for an oil change with an appointment set. They would not honor an estimate provided at the time of setting up the appointment. Then not only did they charge double what was quoted but they performed the oil change before even stating what the “new” price would be! That is not acceptable! And to top it off… they did not even add the appropriate amount of oil leaving it a quart short! This in addition to trying and upsell other unnecessary services. To many quality places then to waste your time here!

Stay away from location. Location is 6813 McNeil Drive, in North Austin). I have a 4Runner with high mileage. It's always had conventional oil. My mechanic highly recommended not switching to synthetic oil. He said if I switch to synthetic oil after the car having conventional oil it's while life that it will experience multiple oil leaks. This car was designed for conventional oil, so it makes sense. I set an appointment for an oil change and told the mgr (I didn't get his name) that the car needed conventional oil. That it's always had non-synthetic and I'd like to keep it that way. He initially said that's fine. But then I asked him if I can use the coupon on their website and he then said "Oh wait a minute, your car can only accept synthetic oil, so we have to put that in it". We went back-and-forth for a minute. I explained to him the damage he'd be doing, (Most experienced/objective mechanics will tell him NOT to do what he was attempting). So I left and I went to another location to have it done correctly, with non-synthetic. Stay away!!

Profoundly unhelpful, I feel ripped off and like I wasn’t listened to at all. Nothing was explained to me about the actual issue with my car and what they did to try to fix it, they just told me they’d have to take my engine apart for around $6000 if I wanted answers to the underlying issue. They didn’t explain any of the diagnostic process that was done that wouldn’t require the extreme course of action, they didn’t confirm or explain any specific part checks. I felt like I was talking in circles with these people. They either thought I was too stupid to bother offering explanations or they just didn’t know enough to give them. My boyfriend called and asked if they checked specific parts of my car and was told “I don’t know”. I really regret coming here!

What was going to be a bad review was shifted and made into the most positive experience! A little backstory, I went to go get a flat tire plugged from a local tire shop in Hudson Bend where the person who was supposed to be training and experience in this stripped and ruined my lug nuts and told me my tire was secured, ready to go needless to say I got over the Mansfield bridge and my tire nearly flew off and I almost had a very bad accident that’s coming forward. The manager the owner of the tire shop in Hudson been more money to fix what his guy did wrong after you. They knew they did wrong but they needed parts and they were up-and-coming so I even more money into it and foolishly thinking that I was getting. What I was paying for instead. I got four stubs that were replaced by the owner of the tire shop who assured me this is what it was needed and it was gonna be fixed and I was gonna have to worry about nothing and he did no such thing he actually probably put me more danger than anything else. Another step broke off day before last, and it just had escalated into such an awful situation and awful experience and I was already dealing with the most brought my car to Lambs. They showed me that they were gonna fix it. Me being one of them. well, insert the superhero of the story David the store manager calls me, allows me to vent and gripe and yell and scream and cry, and then helps rectify the situation as to ensure my safety by making sure that everything that was brand new and I was charged the fair price that I was quoted I can’t tell you how much I needed so much money in the past two days and it basically just going into peoples pockets and not getting anything that I paid for. It warms my heart to know that there are still wonderful people out there. David was my angel because I had no extra money. All I had was the money to pay for what I was quoted originally and I had no clue or any idea how I was gonna get it in such a quick manner, but thankfully, David understood the situation I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome of the story not just because I got something done and not at my expense, but because somebody took it out of their own expense to make sure that I was safe enough to drive my car out of their shop There’s never been more to say about there being value to a local business that serves its people that way I recommend 100% dislocation and I recommend all of the techs and David and Scott You guys are amazing for looking out. I appreciate your believe and God will reward with so much thank you again. I can’t express again my gratitude.

Can’t trust them unfortunately. Went in on Saturday October 12 for an oil change and tire rotation. Waited 2 hours and I presume they changed the oil, but the tires weren’t rotated. Who knows if they even did the oil or if they used the synthetic I paid for. My front tires were starting to cup pretty badly and needed to be rotated. They said they did it, but didn’t. Same tires were still on the front. Maybe the plan is just to try and sell me new tires next time I come in. I called and talked to the service advisor. Didn’t seem to care, didn’t offer to fix it. Just said “oh I’ll talk to him”. So now I have to go pay $67 at another place to have them rotated when I already paid at this location. Huge inconvenience. Particularly concerning because most people wouldn’t even notice. This Lambs scams you. Would not recommend.

I was here yesterday for an oil change and tire rotation. After waiting over 2 hours they were finally done with the services. I didn’t notice they didn’t do the tire rotation as I have no idea what to look for. I brought it home and my husband noticed that the same tires were still in the same spots and they were not rotated. I called the store and they didn’t care and just told me they would “let the service tech know” without offering to do the service or anything. Now I have to go to a different location and pay again to get the tires rotated.

This is my first visit at this location in a while (I recently moved within the city) and it could scarcely have gone worse. Where to begin? The wifi service was unusably slow so I couldn't realistically work while waiting on my vehicle (0.08 Mbps download and 0.79 Mbps to Speedtest.net). Asking about whether something could be restarted or it could be reported were both waved away saying "we're all on the same network." Never mind that there are obvious other private networks with the name of the parent company. So, I need to wait at work. The complimentary shuttle for Lamb's card holders apparently has been done away with as well as "lots of other aspects" such as birthday oil change and rewards points. They offered to call a ride for me and quoted a price, and it was twice as much as if I booked it myself. As I'm on my way to work, I get a text with a report of my car's issue saying they're finished. Wait, are they done or not? No one called me. Apparently not. There were a few other issues reported, some recommended based on mileage and one real issue. 90 minutes later I get another text. They have now found 10 more critical issues. The estimate doesn't even include all the fees and it's over 7k, nearly what the car is worth. I only came in for an oil change and inspection! I opt for the minimum so I can get a second opinion and was told my vehicle would be ready at 3-3:30. I walk in during that window and it's not ready yet. Fine. 3:30 comes and goes with no update. I walk outside and look at the car in the bay with the hood up and no one visibly working on it. Finally, around 4:30 it's ready. I pay. Or, I try to. Tap to pay doesn't work. I'm free to go. I have to ask for my key. Which side is it parked on? "On the right" (nope. It was on the left). I had to walk all the way around behind the building. I get it home and they text me to leave a review. Gladly! I check my receipt to make sure they've done what I wanted. Brake fluid declined? State inspection declined? I call back. They swear brake fluid was done. And the inspection? Oh, since you declined certain items of repair, you wouldn't 'have passed. This was never mentioned to me when I declined. I'm done. I've been a Lamb's customer in this city for over 30 years in multiple locations, multiple vehicles, spending thousands of dollars and this is the worst experience I can remember. Terrible service in every way. Edit: Manager David called me to discuss the issue. He gave me a refund.

Bring your car here if you want it to sit all day and not get worked on . The receptionist had poor communication due to lack of paying attention. He took down my wrong mobile number and sent one text message all day to tell me they would be keeping my car . I brought my car in for a tire plug or a new tire . My car was brought in at 1 and was never worked on. I called several times to check the status and all I received was “we will call you back” I missed a full day of work “Uber” and I had to send an Uber to pick up my husband from work which isn’t a problem but communicating to me that my car isn’t being worked on and wouldn’t be done before my husband was off of work would have been nice . Not to mention I had to call back and was notified they were closing in literally 10 minutes and for me to either leave my car or come get it . Poor communication . Poor management . After speaking to the manager he told me one of his employees had a motorcycle wreck and that was the reason for poor communication. Not sure what that has to do with the fact that I’ve been here before and the communication was the same I took a risk and went this time bc the establishment is so close to my house and my tire was completely flat . 10/10 would NOT recommend .

I’ve brought my car in twice. The first time, they replaced two tires and did an alignment. While they finished the job quickly, when I got my car back, there were deep scratches in my upholstery. Brought my car in with a check engine light a month or two later. They determined it to be a faulty catalytic converter. Already, I knew that was going to be a costly expense. What I was not prepared for however, was a quote for $5,000. When I called and asked for an itemized quote so I can see what exactly cost 5 grand, the service advisor refused to give me one. He stated that although only the Bank 1 Catalytic Converter was bad, they will not work on the car unless I replace both banks and that’s why it’s $5,000. I told them that nobody in their right mind would pay that kind of money, to which I was told “ well it doesn’t matter where you go, it’s going to be that expensive so you might as well get it done” I took it to a shop a mile down and got just the faulty catalytic converter quoted for just under $1,200. I understand that they are primarily a tire and lube shop but refusing to give me an itemized quote and quoting me $5,000 and trying to discourage me from shopping around is a very shady business practice. Edit: David the Service Manager called and offered to refund the $150 diagnostics fee, which is very much appreciated. He also was able to explain why the quote was so high which after reviewing everything is understandable. It doesn’t excuse the actions and attitude of the service advisor that I spoke with, but as someone who is also a supervisor in the service industry, it gives me a sense that the service manager does want to do right by his customers. I’ve adjusted my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star to account for David’s friendly attitude and the willingness to help me understand what exactly I was being quoted for.

They told me oil change and alignement will get done within 2 hours, 4 hours later with no updates they showed me a quote my truck needs over $2000 in repair for them to do the alignement then start removing things from the quote "you know what you don't really need this, this can wait...". So after 4 hours wait I ended up paying over $100 for an oil change. Way to go in customer service

I went in due to having a collapsed lifter. They fixed my problem but other problems arised, another lifter collapsed, a hose was cracked and my oil sensor came on as well. The shop went way above than expected and helped me out. I truly recommend Frank. He does an awesome job. David -manager and Scott really helped explain a lot to where I understood what was going on with my vehicle. I just know that once you start working on some things, other things will pop up as well. I trusted them and will in the future. I highly recommend these guys - shop on McNeil. They don't bullshit and will tell you the truth.

I had an experience back in March'24 when I went there for an oil change. I was given an estimate of $65 but billed for $125 approx. I do not remember now if they had applied $15 coupon because of which I had been there. They admitted their mistake but gave me no option but to pay . That was after 4 hour long wait. And they could not fix the headlight because the lights were located too deep on my Jetta!!! Not a good experience I've had to say the least.
