Loyd’s helped me with a problem I needed fixed because another local shop messed up and refused to correct it. Loyd’s save the day for me and quickly and efficiently fixed my problem. I’ve been going to Lloyds for tires and tire service for years. If you’re a local long enough, you’ll figure out Lloyds is the best in quality, service and pricing. I won’t go anywhere else!

I live in Nashville but my sister lives in Santa Cruz and has a high mileage auto. She had a major issues with her car and she introduced me to Nick at Lloyd’s. I coordinated over the phone and found Nick to be top shelf. They did the repair which I covered to help my sister. Three weeks later another issue, unrelated, which seemed similar. It turned out to be a minor issue and an easy fix which Lloyds did within a short while. I trust them implicitly. I feel glad to know my sister is in safe hands with her car. Thank you Nick!!!

Had an electrical problem with my 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser and Lloyds came through in time to get me on my overland trip. I was off the grid for almost 2 weeks and had no issues. I appreciate sidney (if I’m spelling her name right) at the front for having great patience with me! LOL!!!! I found my new auto guru’s at Lloyd’s. Thanks again!

As helpful as the ASM was the problem was not fixed in fact they made it worse. Installed tires wrong and they didn’t address the issue I was there for I had to take the car to the dealer to fix all they did wrong Dealer couldn’t believe Their mistake

Zero! stars for Loyds tire and auto. I only rate one so as to be able to post. Do!Not!Shop!Loyds!! They tried to rip me off to the tune of $1200. They do not make me feel an important customer. They lied about the extent of the work. They lied about the cost and availability of parts and they use classic manipulation to get me to bite on their ridiculous prices. Loyds and skips and tire barn plus a bunch of other tire auto stores are owned by one corporation out of New York. Save your money, do some research and find another shop to assist you.

DO NOT LET THEM HUSTLE YOU!!! Awful service! I used to bring my car and then several incidents happened where parts broke during "free" inspections complementary to oil changes! I gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first time since I wanted to believe them, but after too many sketchy incidents I realized their techs are dishonest. There were even discrepancies between what the techs would say happened about those incidents. I would avoid them at all cost and save yourself the risk. They are sketchy and will try and hustle you! Even before those events they would always try and sell me parts and things I never truly needed. Every time I would get second opinion from other places they said it was not needed. I almost reported them to the automotive bureau but TBH I did not have the time as a student at the time... I would go to Independent Tires in Live Oak, the people there are honest, kind, and hardworking. I have absolutely no affiliation with Independent Tires but as someone who has lived in Santa Cruz for 7 years I really value supporting good businesses and people and I can say that unfortunately Lloyds is not...

I’ve done business with Lloyd’s Tire Service fo many years, each time I’ve felt they care about my car and me. The mechanics there are trustworthy, I don’t feel that I’ve ever gotten a “sales pitch” just a good assessment of what my car needed.

Update: my car went in with 183611 miles and came out with 183616….driven 5 miles….where did you take my car Lloyds????? Made an appointment for oil change and tire rotation days out. Still waited over 2 HOURS for the service. Also, I needed a flat repair, but was told they could not fix the flat and I needed a whole new set of tires (over 1K). I declined, knowing the tread depth and that many other tire shops would patch it. They said cool, they’d take it off the invoice. Then, the Tech brought the tire over for repair anyway to patch it, but the attendant stopped him. Jolion was the attendant who checked me in. I found this to be a clear attempt to upsell me on a full set of tires, claiming it was necessary, but it clearly wasn’t. When also considering that an oil change at Valvoline takes 10-15 min, I’d recommend going elsewhere for any service except a full set of tires. UPDATE: standing here at the counter over hearing the radio. Tech just stripped a lugnut and forced it off the post, Tech did not know to stop before stripping the post. Tech did not know the difference between the post and the nut. They immediately called that customer and tried to charge them for all the parts and labor to replace the parts THEY stripped. Customer pushed back and was offered %30 off this cost, which was due to inexperience and negligence on the Technicians part. Again, this was not my transaction, but if you were at Lloyds on 11/22 12pm, I heard the whole thing go down.

Not sure how this place has such a high rating. I paid for an oil change which took over two and a half hours and after driving back home, my car had an oil leak. The employee with the long hair was rude throughout the exchange because he acted like I was stupid for suggesting the oil change didn't use pure synthetic oil, and he also had even dismissed my worry that there could be an oil leak after, since this had happened to me before a year ago at Valvoline (and then my exact worry happened!). All in all, this was the most expensive oil change my vehicle had ever received at over $120 that took a large amount of time out of my day, and ended up with my car having an oil leak and in worse shape than before. Spend your money elsewhere.

Would give 0 starts if possible. Car was brought in for fuel pump replacement. When arriving I was greeted by staff that would rather be anywhere else other than working. Car was booked in for the following week and said to be ready Monday. The wrong part was ordered making the repair take an extra day. When the car was returned it smelled heavily of gasoline and was clear that no attempts were made to ventilate the vehicle. The interior was dirty and I found a broken clip that was damaged during the repair. Repair costs were also higher than places I’ve visited in the past. I will not be returning here and do lot recommend anyone else get their vehicle serviced here.

GET A SECOND OPINION before you get SCAMMED by Lloyd's! I took my car in for an oil change and walked out with a $3000 quote for several issues including my brakes. According to Joline, the guy at the front desk, my rotors were grooved and potentially not even eligible for resurfacing. He went into a lot of detail on "the front right rotor," which was "the worst one," according to his inspection. On a hunch, I took my car to get a second opinion, and sure enough, they said my brake pads were in excellent condition and functioning at 75% capacity (they didn't even recommend changing them out till they hit about 25%). It sucks when small family businesses are bought out by bigger corporations, like Lloyd's was. They obviously lost a lot of integrity. It sucks even more to be underestimated at the car shop just for not having specialized car knowledge. So, in conclusion, proceed at your own risk, but don't hand over the big bucks until their findings are confirmed by a second party. And if you're a woman, like me, I suggest going to SC Motorsports. They actually have integrity, and they're family & woman owned.

Waiting for hours. I get it. But on a hot day there isn't a/c or fans in the waiting area except for one above fan in their office. Not even complimentary water. Just basically sweating in your chair for hours while it's too unbearable to even sit outside. Wish their was better service for customers and not just the cars they work on. I think I'll stick to family owned car shops. They do seem to care more for the wellbeing of the customers.

They broke a driver seat lever in my wife's car while swapping some tires. Refused to fix and said "we never touched it." Then offered to charge me $200 to assess the issue... Disappointing. I was hoping they'd do the right thing.

My go to tire shop. Flat tire with nail on edge of sidewall. No charge for new tire on hazard warranty. Juan kept me updated on order overnight.

Consistently quality work, exceptionally honest advice and service, and fair price. Plus, I was happy to learn they do more than tires! I've gone there for wheel alignments and balancing, oil changes, steering system tune ups, and automotive mysteries. They're always friendly and helpful. Nick, Jaiya, and Giovani have been GREAT! Last time I was in, they over-quoted me the price for a part for the initial work authorization, but when it came time to pay, they were honest about the pricing error and gave me the lower price. They have the honesty to tell me when I don't need a service. They take the time to explain their recommendations exceptionally well, and taking their advice, my cars drive better than ever. When I can, I will call around to get the best price on parts and services, and I've found they're always offering a fair price, if not the lowest in the area. If I don't have time to comparison shop, I have peace of mind going to them. They were recommended to me years ago by another tire shop in town when I had a problem with a trailer. I couldn't bring the trailer for them to help, but they were friendly and took the time to give helpful advice (for free, and despite looming fire evacuations). To boot, they were right about the problem without even seeing the trailer.

Had an appointment then, Waited 2 hours for them to even move my car, watched multiple people drive in and be helped ahead of me. What should have taken an hour turned into a fully wasted day. Multiple employees not working just walking back and forth. Don't come here if you value your time
