The shop overpromised and underdelivered. After calling around for the earliest availability, I had my car towed to Logan Square Auto. I dropped it off on a Thursday, and they assured me they’d start working on it by Friday or Saturday at the latest. When I called on Saturday to follow up, they said they’d call me back later that day, but I never heard from them. By Monday afternoon, I decided to go to the shop in person to find out what was going on. They finally gave me an estimate, which I felt was unreasonably high. Frustrated with the cost and their poor communication, I decided to tow the car to another shop. Over the phone, they said the car was ready for pickup, but when I sent the tow truck, they refused to release the car unless I came in person to pay. They then claimed the car was disassembled and would require hours of work to put back together. They refused to let me pay remotely, and wouldn’t release my car till I paid for diagnostics.

When I have any kind of car issue, I take my vehicle to Logan Square Auto Repair. Nick, and everyone else there for that matter, are helpful, efficient, and do great work. I can't recommend them enough.

I went here a few years ago to have the undercarriage on my Prius looked at because it was scraping the ground. Logan Square Auto is in my neighborhood but I had never been. Everyone was super helpful and welcoming. The guy even reattached the undercarriage as a complimentary service! I recently returned because I suspected that I had a bearing issue due to a progressively loud grinding noise. I told LSA that two dealers could not find the issue but that it was really feeling unsafe and that I needed true experts. Lo and behold, they found the issue and solved it! It was indeed a bearing issue and said it was obvious. Makes me wonder what the hell the dealer mechanics were doing. I will continue going to this shop. Nick and Sammy at the front desk were so kind and answered all my questions clearly and thoughtfully. The prices are competitive and they offer a discount for Costco members. Five stars!

My prepaid maintenance just stopped on my Audi so I shopped around for a local shop. Came in for an oil change, was accommodated in a speedy manner, then had a small issue. Everything was completely resolved to my satisfaction as of now, and Nick and his team went above and beyond. It’s my new shop and it’s right in my neighborhood!

I had my car towed to this place a while back. Naturally was over quoted. Guys tried to add oil change services to my quote when I had a sticker that indicated I got one a week or two prior. They said I needed a brake job on all my brakes… quoted 1100. couldn’t afford that on top of the repairs I already needed so I waited and called around. Finally found another shop that quoted me 600-700. I just brought it in today and they said my brakes are about at half their life right now and I don’t need a brake job at all. If you go here definitely take the time to GET A SECOND OPINION because they’re overpriced and scammy

LSAR is setting a standard for what all shops should be. Clear and transparent service. We all know of the sketchy auto shops stories well you won’t find that here. Staff will thoroughly explain the assessment of your vehicle, happily. I can go on but give them a shot and you’ll too see why I said what I said. Keep up the great work!

Could not be happier with the work and service we received from Logan Square Auto Repair. Was passing through Chicago when I realized my rear brakes were not going to make the 1500 mile trip ahead. Just by chance found LSAR and reached out to them. Super easy to contact and let them know what I needed. Immediate reply call to set it up. Estimate came in menu format with other things I might need fixed. Pick and chose what I needed, clicked approved, signature, and they were on it. Left garage with a sense truck was solid. Made rest of trip with peace of mind. Gracias hombres por su arduo trabajo.

I took my car here for a faulty starter and they let me know it wasn't safe to drive anymore and needed major repairs, thank you to Nick and the rest of the team for finding all the issues and getting me safely back on the road! ✊🏿

Nick and his team have worked on more than one cars for me over the last 4 years. They always do great work, have great customer service, and I feel incredibly save leaving my vehicles for them to work on. I can not recommend their team enough.

Process is super easy for reviewing vehicle issues and paying online. The staff is always patient with my questions and are helpful at walking through the work they recommend / what needs to be done. Will certainly be using them going forward. They’ve even thrown in a few free car washes!

Seriously the best auto repair shop ever! My first time ever in chicago and of course my car breaks down, first thing that caught my eye about this place when looking to get my car fixed was how professional and knowledgeable they are. I’ve had bad experiences with places trying to up price me for things that aren’t even wrong with my car but they don’t. You go in and come out with your car running better than ever! most definitely recommend! might even come here when i’m back home to get some repairs done that’s how amazing they are.

This is the only place I trust with my cars. They are expensive, but every time I’ve tried to save some cash by going somewhere else, I end up back at Logan Square Auto getting it corrected. They also have amazing customer service. One time my car wasn’t ready at the expected time, so they dropped it off at my home free of charge. If the car gets smudged, they have the whole thing cleaned. They truly go above and beyond.

Highly recommend this shop! They were able to get my car in and out quickly and sent me a convenient report of all the issues. The prices were fair and later they went the extra mile for me when I needed to fix a small issue with my car.

We have gone here on numerous occasions for different cars and these guys have been so great every time. They have given us estimates for free, and definitely did not encourage us to pay more than we needed to. They are a really great option if you aren’t too familiar with what a car may actually need and want someone you can trust. Definitely our go-to mechanics.

Really great shop! Everyone was very helpful and had a quick turnaround between setting up an appointment and getting everything fixed. I'm not car savvy, but could instantly tell how much better my car drove after they worked on it.

We had our car serviced and ended up needing brake pads repaired all around. The team did a great job and no mistakes were made. Reason for the less than ideal review is because the air filter part was missing upon picking up the vehicle so I had to go back to have it placed. Additionally, I didn't feel like the service was 5-star. I understand not offering anything extra if you are getting a routine service, but after spending $1400, a quick vacuum or air freshener would have been nice. Understanding the repairs weren't anything we could actually see, this would be felt more like 5-star service. The team also also quoted us around $1600 and when we declined they offered a discount which was nice, but felt like we were getting price gouged. Probably will try somewhere else for a better deal & service in the future but did appreciate the work.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Logan Square Auto Repair. Making an appointment on their website was seamless, and I quickly had an appointment confirmed after submitting a form. Customer service was exceptional too! Everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. I also really enjoyed how they sent over the estimate digitally, which gave me time to look over the repairs carefully and approve or deny them based on what I could afford at that moment in time. I had a lot of work done on my car, from new break pads to an oil change, and they finished same day and even threw in a complimentary car wash for me! Their work was impeccable, their customer service top-notch, and I will certainly be coming back for any more repairs! Thank you all!

I've been frequenting this location for years and with 2 different cars. I can't applaud this team at Logan Square Auto Repair enough. They are incredibly helpful every time, mindful of whatever situation you're in, honest, and very reasonably priced. They never nickle or dime you and communicate what's going on throughout the process. If you need reliable and honest work in the city, go see them.

Nick was great and super helpful. The costs were much more expensive than I expected however. All quotes in services were much above market and what I would expect from a dealership.
