I was just trying to get some chicken next door when my car died. The lady at the counter said the guys next door were really nice and did good work, so my son and I pushed it over to them. She was exactly right, they were nice and did great work! I have an older LandCruiser, and twice, Pepe and his guys "went ahead and fixed it while we were in there" without asking for more money than we agreed; they just did it because it made sense, and they like fixing things the right way!

I had a great experience at this mechanic shop! From the very beginning, the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. What really stood out to me was their honesty—something that can be hard to find these days. They thoroughly checked my car and assured me it currently didn’t need any repairs, which showed their integrity. I really appreciate their transparency and professionalism. I will definitely be returning for any future car needs and will be recommending them to my family and friends. Honest people like this deserve recognition!

WARNING! They WILL STEAL cash and valuables from your vehicle. And when you tell them that your money is missing, they will harass you with multiple phone calls, and text messages. They will only stop once threatened to involve the police. They said they didn’t service my car, but they were inside of it, and they did move it. They had access to it because my doors were unlocked and they took the opportunity to steal from me. So if thievery and intimidation are what you seek when choosing auto repair, this is the place for you!

Had a great experience with Longhorn Automotive. The owner and employees were so friendly and very honest. I was worried I was going to get ripped off by a mechanic because I’m a young college student and know absolutely nothing about cars, but the price was much cheaper than I’d get anywhere else. They fixed what I needed fixed, as soon as I got home something in my car started making noise (a new problem!), so I called them even though they had already closed, the owner answered and told me to come back so they could take a look. They figured out the problem (completely unrelated to why I went to the mechanic in the first place) and even though it had nothing to do with the service they gave me earlier, they tightened the part up for me free of charge. Very friendly and really just wanted to make sure my car was safe enough to drive.

I just went to Longhorn Automotive and had a great experience. They were fast, friendly, fairly priced and they did a great job fixing my wheel bearings. I recommend them!

Every time I have come to this shop, they are so nice and so honest. Coming from a woman, that is such a refreshing experience. I never feel like they try to scam me and they always quote me correctly and are very urgent. Will always take my car here!

Finally writing a long overdue review. I’ve gone to this place with a crap truck that they never judged. When steam and stink poured out they simply said ‘ it’s a hose’ - and I was on my way by the end of the day. When a starter was replaced and it crapped a few months outside of warranty, they said ‘ that shouldn’t have happened- we got you’ . So when I got a new car it was my trusted go to for an honest inspection. These guys do good work, and aren’t out to scare you.

A close friend recommended Pepe and Longhorn Automotive. He quoted a reasonable price, made sure I got to my office and back, had the repairs done quickly at the promised time, and he's incredibly friendly. He also has the best stories! I'll be back.

The team at Longhorn Automotive has helped me out 3 times now and each time it has been the smoothest and easiest process ever! Best prices in town, knowledgable people who want to help you and can give you such good info on your car and maintenance. Pepe and the team is truly a gem in town and it’s such a nice relief to have them for when there’s car trouble or just normal car upkeep.

Had something happen with my oil pan while driving, and had it towed to Longhorn after hours. Work was completed within 48 hours, with clear communication the whole time! So satisfied with this place. Thanks to this team for great service, highly recommend. UPDATE: March 2, 2024 Engine and oil issue, plus brake job and spark plug replacement. Basically my car was a MESS and Pepe saved it! Entire project completed within 5 hours. Love this place. Never going anywhere else for repair and maintenance.

Pepe and his team are some of the best mechanics I've ever worked with! They charged a very reasonable and affordable price for their services, were fast and efficient, and were honest and good to work with. The next time my car needs maintenance or repairs, I will be taking it back to Longhorn Automotive!

I was in a pickle. Really needed an inspection and an oil change and they had me in and out in an hour, for BOTH. Super nice, thorough and being pretty busy, I was impressed. I've never had better service when it came to my car needs. Also purchased 4 new tires at half the price of Firestone, the gentleman was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this place, I will continue to take my car here for anything it needs.

HORRIBLE PLACE - IVE GIVEN THEM OVER $2000 AND MY CAR IS WORSE OFF! They put my catalytic converter upside down and my muffler fell off twice!

Pepe and Longhorn Automotive are excellent! Great quality of work, very fair prices and a wonderful turn around time too. The traction control and ABS lights came on in my truck and they were able to replace the worn hub bearings in 24 hours.

This has been my mechanic since I moved to Austin. As a young woman, I am always leery of being taken advantage of by mechanics, but not at Longhorn Auto. It feels like a partnership. They are willing to talk me through what is going on and let me see and engage with any issues. I trust that they are fair.

My car's engine was overheating and they diagnosed and fixed the problem over the weekend. A speedy process and they also replaced my sparkplugs for no extra charge and gave me a good quote upfront. I would return to this establishment in the future for other work I need done to my car. Great place with great people.

Pepe is the guy to see for any car troubles! I was having trouble starting my car and these guys figured it out, swapped the part, and did it all for half the price of other shops in the area. He gave me a quote upfront so there were no surprises, and when I came back my car was starting like a dream! I seriously cannot overstate how pleased I am with the team at Longhorn Automotive.
