Love Lopez Auto Repair! Took my car to get a full diagnostic. Since I'm going on a long drive and wanted to make sure everything was running good before my long trip. They gave me a reasonable price and good thing everything looked good. The total amount was less than what they quoted. Which was a great surprise. Who doesn't like to save money? Love how they don't take advantage of you and only charge you for the work done, nothing more nothing less. I highly recommend them. They are a mom and pop auto shop service. Don't let their auto shop appearance fool you. Their customer service is amazing. They communicate very and will let you know what repairs your car may need before they proceed any further. Basic service but they actually do it. No upsales or hidden fees. Plus they are locally owned so support Austin small businesses.

Miss/Mrs/Ms Lopez is a living breathing wonder. She runs the joint with her trusty guys who really know what they're doing. I had an engine warning light on the dashboard with little else to tell me if I was in danger of damaging the engine. I called South Point Hyundai who said they'd get back to but didn't. Lady Lopez set her guys upon the task and found one of the fuel injectors wasn't working. 25% of my power had been missing. She replaced the injector, rotated the tires, changed the engine oil, checked the brakes, all air filters and all other oil levels. All in one day. Picked up my car at 5.30. Thank you, Madam Lopez. You are the best. My car now purrs like a cat. Smooth and quiet like a sleeping cat.

I've had several people tell me about their experiences at this place. Nothing but great experiences here. Honest mechanics. Family business, and all of them are great. I have had a lot of poor experiences at other auto shops. Everyone I know that goes here won't take their car anywhere else. I went here recently, and they are extremely fair, upfront with you, and honest. Car repairs are very stressful, but I know I'm in good hands with them. I will definitely be back.

Friendly, efficient, and reasonably priced. My AC needed work and he found the problem fast and replaced a part at low cost without having to overhaul the entire thing. They fixed it within an hour while waited and had a cold drink at Radio Coffee. Super grateful to these folks!

Great experience. I got an estimate for lock sensors. They initially said $70. to look. When I chose not to have them replaced he didn't charge me for looking. I brought my own motor mounts and they installed them. They checked the alternator for a noise. Took out the belts and reinstalled them correctly and only charged for the look.

I have only Great things to say! It was 5 pm on Friday afternoon and I had a 75 mile drive home and I called them to check a problem on my truck to see if I could make it to San Antonio and they said to come in and the mechanic would wait for me. 45 minutes after I arrived he fixed the problem and told me a couple other things that needed to be addressed, but I could make it home. When I asked him how much I owed him he gave me an amount that felt to low and I offered him more especially since he stayed late for me. If you need someone to fix it right and not take advantage of you go to Lopez Auto Repair!

This family owned shop is really great. I didn’t know what people meant by finding honest mechanics but now I do. Rosalinda and her Brother Martin are class and help me out at fair prices. Highly suggest and don’t overlook them! Side note: the auto shop down the street was too busy and they suggested this location. Solid suggestion!

This place is awesome! Wanted to have something checked out before going on a road trip and they let me know that everything was all good and sent me on my way. Another customer was saying how rare that is and I agree, that has never happened to me at an auto shop. I very much appreciate their honesty and will certainly choose them for any car services in the future. Also, bonus points that radio coffee is right across the street.

We thought our trip got ruin when we run into trouble with our car, and found Lopez Auto repair, we explained our situation and it is a Saturday lunch time and they closed at 3 so when we explained we don’t live here in Austin, they took our car in, and thanks God it was not a big issue for the moment, we walk to a place to buy the part so they would charge us for labor only and fix the problem at site, they charge $85 not sure to say if it price but for a last minute thing it is not bad…definitely recommend the place if you need help..

Where to begin…A mechanic who charges a $150 diagnostic fee after completing the work. Brought my car in after running the codes with my own OB-II scanner. The code was for a throttle body. I bought one online for $57. After dropping it off, I received a phone call later in the day saying they had been in contact with the dealership and it was a two year wait for a throttle body because they were on back order. They can find the part in town and get it done for around $600 dollars otherwise I would have to wait two years going through the dealership. After I told them the new throttle body was in the backseat where they told me to leave it that morning and was then told that the throttle body I provided would only last 8 months. How would you know that? What if I don’t drive it? In 8 months it will not work? Please enlighten me. Probably took them 10-15 minutes to install. I’ve never heard of a mechanic charging a diagnostic fee after they complete the work, especially if you already provided the diagnoses and part. If you want an honest mechanic go elsewhere. All the positive are from people that probably don’t know much about cars. Overall, spent over $230 for a 10-15 minute job when I provided the correct diagnosis and part. Was threatened by the owner when picking up the vehicle. Stay away and save some money.

Excellent customer service and pricing from this shop. When the driver's side door window in my son's 2011 Hyundai got stuck in down position, called numerous shops. Most couldn't even look at the car till the following week. Got referred to Lopez by Tech Auto who use them when they are backed up. Lopez got us in and repaired the same day. Their total price was what one shop wanted to charge for parts alone. Great shop!
