EDIT: As promised it’s fixed and fixed to the same standard I would have done myself if I had my tools here. I’m amending to five stars because of Joel and because Ashley regardless of why messaged with a sincere note of taking ownership. We all grow and learn and I for one believe the five stars are warranted all the way around after such a trying day. It’s not the error but in how it’s handled. Joel Dudgeon the manager reached out (prior to seeing the review) and stepped up to the point I am allowing the thermostat to be changed. Lessons learned here, make sure everything is spelled out and price listed, if your rep is not all together with it regardless of reason request another one and understand they get lots of folks claiming to be car gurus and it’s not always the case but if you are a guru reiterate it or ask for Joel. He did ask me to review the review as it was made prior to him stepping in and reiterated he didn’t require five stars so for now I’ll bump up to three simply because of his olive branch and being fair. If the rig is done properly with zero hiccups I will revise it more. The sole reason it won’t be five is Ashley. Companies spend a fortune on their branding but more often than not fail to reiterate this importance to their staff. Customers usually don’t kill business it’s their own staff. Written reviews are great but this group and others should be more focused on is the customer who had an Ashley engagement and never said a word…to them or left a google review ! But has told everyone else. Thanks again Joel. DO NOT GO HERE. Took my 20212 Navigator in for a thermostat change. I’m from out of town but build race engines and am very familiar with repairs. I guess being a female they decided I was a sucker. Ashley explained it would need a diagnostic and I said I know what it is, here is the code and its text book. The entire engagement with Ashley is small errors and she blames it nonstop on its early and cold. I get it but it doesn’t excuse you from the job. I leave in the Uber that Ashley orders and she fails to put in the correct address so luckily the driver was cool and got that resolved and I end up in a Uber for 45 minutes. Then I get the text of them “diagnosing “ everything and even quoting my own code given…why they decided to inspect the ENTIRE car and “diagnose” Everything else that was not requested or authorized is simply to price gouge. Explain what brake fluid or the rear differential have to do with a thermostat! Nothing. It’s a price gouge. A $68 thermostat job is quoted for over $500. Ashley even tries to upsell they offer a warranty on the part. It’s an OEM part from Ford of course it’s a warranty why sell it as a favor? More lies. When I call her out Ashley is snarky and condescending saying well if you can fix it why are you here? That’s a great question, as matter of fact don’t touch my car I’ll pick it up. That’s when she says oh well we diagnosed the problem and it’s $130. What? When I said you never said there was a fee she goes well I thought I had but anyway you have to pay it or talk to my manager. Per Ashley the going hourly rate of $168 an hour for mechanics is normal in Columbus which is another lie because I have called six shops and the highest was $94!!! This place is a joke and a total rip off. Stay away from them.

I appreciate Luke's for being such a full service and transparent place. I know that I will be provided with as much information about my vehicle as they find, I won't be pressured into any decisions and I have the ease of an optional loaner car. Also, their space is really beautiful and makes the process very smooth. We'll continue taking our cars there.

I went to Luke's Auto today (on Sinclair) with an appointment. I arrived early and spoke to "Nick" and explained about my VTM-4 light and my overdue checkup I needed because my last mechanic went out of business. I said I needed a complete diagnostic and a thorough visual inspection so I could schedule whatever maintenance was needed and I said the car seemed to be running kind of rough this past week (after I slammed on my brakes to miss an animal). He said it would run $130. A couple hours later, he says he reset the dash lights, and maybe I could use a tune up (at some point) and maybe a wheel sensor or something and maybe down the road some struts, but "not right now" he says to which I said I do need a tune up now, I'm way overdue and was the car actually test driven? He said yes but it was fine, I said it couldn't have been fine! He says I've decided to charge you half the fee- (no mechanic just randomly charges half price for anything) he went on to say: "I recommend you just drive it around for a week and see if the lights come back on and call me next Monday". (No list of actual findings from the inspection I asked for and no printout of the diagnostics) and no appointments on the books for me. I start the car, and the dash lights came right back on immediately, and I go back in and tell him, and he goes and checks them himself and says, "call me next Monday-your car isn't going to break down!" I left with the car in the exact same shape as when I drove in. I couldn't believe what I heard or experienced, and I couldn't think how to respond quickly in that moment. By the time I got home I was so livid, and I had all the things I should have said in my mind-too late. Now I'm back to square one with no repairs either done or even scheduled and no reliable mechanic once again and I'm out $65 for literally absolutely nothing. I didn't feel heard, and my concerns were completely dismissed.

My second time at the Grandview location after always using the dealership. Won’t mention the dealership but the service at Luke’s was more professional, quicker, less expensive, and more honest when it came to the work that was needed and what was not. I will now use them exclusively for both cars. Thank you to all at the shop.

This place is really great and they took such great care of us. They got my car done in 1 afternoon, were very communicative of what needed to be done/exact cost and even booked us an uber when we dropped off our vehicle. They offered after hour pickups which we used and it was a seamless process. I think we mightve found our new mechanic shop.

I took my 2007 Ford fusion (I know it's an older car) in for a oil change 4 tires and brake inspection after breaking numerous parts I was forced to buy new rotors calipers and other misc parts what should have been a $1000 invoice turned out to be $2300 since the car was not drivable now I had no choice not a very good first time experience. Are all mechanic shops like this?

Staff are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Always high-quality, lasting repairs. They make a strong effort to make sure you know what’s going on with your vehicle and they always give detailed, itemized descriptions of full costs of each individual potential service and email and text you summaries of your inspection before a rep from the shop calls you to go over any questions you have/confirm desired services.

I have good experience with Luke's. Most recently I backed out of a parking spot, then couldn't go forward, and had road service tow me to Luke's. The problem was promptly found, and since my van is a 2005 the part was ordered. Communication was good and the part was promptly installed. They are easy to work with, and answered all questions.

I've been taking my car to Luke's for several years now and have found the staff to always be professional & very helpful. My engine light came on yesterday on my way to work, so I called Luke's and was able to get an appointment that same day. A staff member - Ashley, assisted me and as we were discussing the problem I was facing, she began to ask pertinent questions to get information to diagnose the possible origin of the problem. Long story short - she was able to determine through a diagnostic tool that the reason for the engine light may have been a defective gas cap. I replaced the cap and the problem seems to have been corrected. Bottomline: Ashley's automotive knowledge and acumen saved me money. I was not charged for the use of the diagnostic tool. This is the type of Vendor / Client interaction that generates confidence & loyalty among a its clientele.

Top notch auto service. It was so quick and smooth from making an appointment to picking up the car. I made the appointment online and it was very easy to do that on their website. I received a link to view the recommended services on my car and I could approve or decline on the website they sent me. The link included pictures and descriptions and that gave me time to look up the services they recommended to decide. Their staff are professional. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience with this shop! Car repairs are stressful under any circumstance, but the people here really took care of us and made it a smooth process. We worked with Ashley specifically; she was awesome in keeping us updated, as well as being knowledgeable and considerate. The repairs were done timely, the office is well-kept and welcoming, and every time we called, we were greeted with hospitality. We highly recommend this shop!

I had my truck towed in with a broken rear axle. Nick is awesome!!! My extended warranty initially denied my claim. Nick worked with the company to get my claim approved. Nick made my experience with Luke’s painless. I am now a part of Luke’s family.

I dropped my car off after hours and left a very detailed note - my dad and I have worked on our family cars since I was little so I know my way around and had a decent idea of what the problem was. The car is old (a 2010 model) with about 176K miles on it - it's got a LOT of issues but most of them are mild or quickly fixed. A cracked radiator - not so much. The guys at Luke's gave the car a very thorough check and listed every problem they found, from the spray-painted rust patch to the cracked radiator, but at my request they focused on the radiator and got the car up and running within a day of getting everything approved. When I went to pick it up, I was in and out with keys in hand in less than five minutes and very happy with my car's repairs. Granted, I didn't have them do all the other repairs the car needs, just what needed to be done to get it roadworthy again, but I have no complaints! The supervisor Jameson took extra time to explain everything to my dad as well so everybody was on the same page with what was happening. All in all, these guys are top-tier and if I ever need anything else done with my car, I will be returning and recommending them to everyone I know.
