I've come to Luu's a couple of times, and have had great experiences both when something is actually wrong and when I'm worried something is wrong. Don is straightforward and communicative -- you'll know when to drop your car off, when he's likely to get to it, his findings and recommended fixes (if any), and he is efficient but thorough about those fixes. I've been able to pick up the day after both times. Pricing is right in the ballpark of what you'd expect.

When I was in a huge bind and pressed for time, Don helped me get back on the road and for a very fair price!! I highly recommend this shop, if you want honest work and nice people this is the spot!!

I've used Luu auto repair for almost 20 years, and even after moving to far south ATX I still...use them irregardless of the distance. They are always honest, on target and have lower prices than any compared. Thier work is top notch and they are able to give a reliable time on when they can service your auto/ and when it will be ready. They also have some gems....when it comes to buying solid used cars. It's Family run and it shows! THX Don you rock...

I’ve been coming here for years after getting overcharged by the dealership for “maintenance” & repairs. Don is thorough, honest and a trustworthy professional. I’m never worried about being up-charged or doing unnecessary work to my suv. Also, i love that I can call and usually schedule to bring my vehicle in within a day or two depending on my needs. Highly recommend!

I recently had my power steering rack replaced at this shop, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. I made an appointment and dropped my car off on time, and they got the job done the same day. Don was professional and efficient, offering a very reasonable price without any haggling. Their customer service is top-notch, and they genuinely care about their customers. I highly recommend this shop for any auto repair needs. Great job!

I've been here a few times, customer service and communication is great! The mechanic service has troubleshooted a couple issues and provided fixes to keep my Lexus running smoothly. Would recommend to anyone.

Though many previous reviews seemed to sing their praises, I had a strange experience with them. I had to schedule out weeks in advance for a simple diagnostic (understandable, as mechanics are busy in Austin) but when I dropped my car off on a Friday there was no assurance or guarantee for when they would be done looking it over. It was only when I called in on the following Monday and stressed that I needed to pick up the car the next day that they seemed to get started on checking it out. They managed to diagnose one issue, but didnt really give me an answer on others. To fix one of the issues it seemed it would be a costly repair--but from the way they spoke, it seemed that even if I was willing to pay, they seemed unwilling to do it. Overall I left underwhelmed by their lack of communication, and also left with the feeling that they either did not want to work on my car or were too busy to work on my car. Disappointing, considering all the stellar previous reviews. :/

Don is honest and won't rip you off. He gives you options and he really knows his stuff. Been going to Luu's for 15+ years. They are hands down the best. They've done simple spark plugs replacement to more complex transmission replacement. Always been happy with the repairs.

Don is a fair and honest mechanic. Would recommend him. I came here with my a/c not working and he replaced my condenser for a reasonable price. he was very professional. i would be more than happy to keep supporting local mechanic shops like this

Great service and very accommodating. I came in for starter replacement. Reasonably priced and great communication. Don was great to work with and gave me candid feedback on the state of my car, identifying possible risks but not overstating them. It felt consultative rather than dramatized to create more business. Would most definitely go back.

Trustworthy. I don’t know much about cars but I never got the impression I was being taken advantage of. Seems to be a real mom and pop type of shop. Will bring my car back for future repairs for sure.
