They were very nice for putting on a trailer hitch cover at no cost. It was a unique request since it was off brand and they did it perfectly. They have also always been a very fare price with a quick turnaround on their work previously. We will be coming to M & R for all our car needs in the future.

While the team at M&R was very kind and courteous at the time of my repair, I've had an awful experience since due to the poor-quality parts they used. I had a major repair done just under a year ago, involving replacing shocks and struts, before a move across country, and only a few weeks after the work was done the parts they used failed. I had this confirmed with another auto shop, who reached out to M&R to discuss the warranty that M&R advertises. M&R agreed that the parts had failed and stated that their warranty company should cover the cost to replace these parts. After many months of back and forth, both with M&R and the warranty company that they use, it turns out that their warranty "wasn't active" at the time of my repair, even though it was advertised in their shop. I know that faulty parts aren't necessarily M&R's fault, but they clearly advertise that their parts are covered by warranty, and in my case I've been stuck waiting for months for updates from M&R as they "negotiate" with their warranty company. Instead of standing behind their work, I'm now responsible for covering the $1,000+ of work that M&R did AGAIN to be repaired properly. Moreso, M&R has become suspiciously unresponsive as I try to get updates, not answering my calls or responding to messages. I would highly recommend another shop for your auto needs in Chicago! And if you had work done in Jan of 2024, definitely worth checking with M&R to see if your work was done within the period that they didn't have warranty coverage.

Harvey is the best, he did a great job outlining the different issues with my car, what's immediately recommended, and what's optional. He learned about my specific situation and was able to adjust the services needed so I wasn't overbilled. I really liked the transparency and would highly recommend him.

I had an outstanding experience at M & R from start to finish. The mechanics took the time to thoroughly explain every aspect of my car's needs. What really impressed me was their attention to detail. Their pricing was refreshingly transparent and reasonable, especially compared to other shops in the area. The final bill matched exactly what was quoted, with no surprise charges. The work was completed on time and on schedule. The shop itself is well-maintained and professional, with a clean waiting area and friendly staff. What stands out most is their commitment to customer service service. I've finally found my go-to mechanic. It's rare to find a shop that combines technical expertise with such integrity and reasonable pricing. Shout out to Harvey, Matteo, and Mike for their excellent customer service which makes this shop truly exceptional. I highly recommend them for any automotive needs - you won't find a more skilled and reliable team.

Great experience! M&R identified issues with my car that other auto shops overlooked. They also included pictures and very detailed explanations. The staff was also very kind & easy to work with. I will definitely be returning. This is definitely a top-notch, honest shop!

Mateo and his team are amazing!!! From the first time I called and spoke with them, they were extremely professional and clear as to how the process works for my damaged car. I set my appt and they were on time and very friendly. I had some damage to my rear door panel. Mateo took his time to evaluate the damage and instead of rushing to file a claim, he was able to fix the issue in a few minutes. I’m so grateful to have found M&R Import Services!!! I highly recommend using them!!

The M&R team, Harvey and staff, took great care of my son’s car with great responsiveness. The problem diagnosis was presented with photos and video and in depth explanation with actionable recommendations. These guys sincerely care about providing an outstanding customer experience. I was a bit skeptical at first because my repair took a little longer than I had anticipated. But in the end I felt that this was a top notch business. They are very professional and patient. They fixed the current issue that I was having and also fixed an older issue that no other repair shop had been successful at resolving.

Most recently, I took my 2006 Honda Accord to get it checked for a road trip to Canada. We' ve been taking our cars to M&R for over 5 years now - they know our cars and they know us. Whenever we call or go there, we are reminded of he line from the CHEERS ... "You want to go where everybody knows your name! " They treat you like family. All the folks there are great to work with - nice, personable, professional, and easy to communicate with. Their work is excellent, their prices are reasonable, and they come highly recommended.

I called and asked for general information and this guy wanted to make in the model of my car my nameaddress. WTH , when I didn't want to tell him it's a tire repair, you don't need all that he got upset and since we don't need your patronage, I wouldn't go to this place

Mike and team did a fantastic job. My daughter’s Nissan stopped moving when on the way to school. It coasted to stop and she walked the rest of the way. One call and Mike and his team took care of everything. They towed the car in, diagnosed the problem and gave us the solution. All very professional and economical. I brought my truck in in November to have a number of repairs done. They used an incorrect size socket when replacing my passenger side brake light, which caused it to go out the next time I took it out for a large drive. In addition, they told me there was an issue with my exhaust, which I told them to go ahead and fix. When they returned my truck, it started backfiring occasionally, which had never occurred before taking it here. There was an exhaust leak large enough to trip carbon monoxide sensors on the Canadian border. Deeply disappointed with whatever mechanic was assigned to my truck and I have no intention of bringing any vehicle here ever again, after they charged me over $3k to fix a few different issues. 2 stars because they did manage to fix the problem with it starting.

Friendly people very thorough in their work. I came to get an estimate for my totaled car they let me know everything i needed cost about $100 something dollars, although i got a free estimate down the street i would recommend this shop for any of your needs.

My daughter’s VW was dead in her garage and I (her dad) live about 300 miles away. When I contacted M&R about the problem Michael assured me they would analyze the car and we would talk. We talked thru a repair plan and they made the repairs. Michael kept me informed of issues and progress and got her back on the road. I felt that Michael was forthright in our discussions and was treating my daughter as if she was his daughter. Next time I’m in Chicago I’m going to shake his hand.
