This is the small auto repair shop that many of us have longed to find... a shop where you can immediately speak directly with the owner/chief mechanic... and, trust that he will not try to sell you work you don't need... who walks you through the details of the work he believes should be done (or, not done)... finds ways to cut costs as possible... while still providing quality work. I highly recommend Mark Caan's Automotive as a great place to trust for your auto repairs and maintenance work. It is hidden away in a residential area (not far from the intersection of Speedway and Craycroft)... which I was a bit put off by at first... but, once I saw the shop (well equipped... organized and clean)... and, got to know Mark and how he operates... I was able to feel confident that I had found the mechanic I had been looking for... for several years.

Easy five stars. My experience here was excellent. I was passing through Tucson when my van began giving me trouble. I called Mark. He had my problem diagnosed and fixed in no time. He involved me in the process as well which was really cool. Really nice guy and excellent mechanic!

I asked for a quick inspection on a possible buy he wanted $75 for something I got for free down the road told me I would be luck if I found someone to do it for free. Which I did.

I decided to give Mark Cann's Automotive a try. Turns out I made the right choice. He was able to diagnose my car's problems effectively and helped me understand what areas needed to be addressed first and foremost. His inspections are more comprehensive than the typical dealerships multi point inspections. Mark is a class act, trustworthy, professional, and reliable.

Can't thank Mark enough for the wonderful job he did on my pickup truck recently. He was able to diagnose the problem very quickly and the time he needed to do the actual repair was just as fast. I had some work done with Mark recently, (problems with my door locks and an EVAP leak,) and I'm very happy with the service he provided. Mark, and his assistant Jay, were friendly and knowledgeable, and gave me an honest and detailed appraisal of my car's issues, and fixed them quickly at a very reasonable rate. Jay went above and beyond in showing me exactly what had gone wrong with my door locks and explaining what was necessary to fix them. I'll definitely be bringing my car there for future repairs and strongly recommend them to friends and family.

It's obvious that Mark has a great deal of mechanical knowledge and experience, I was really impressed and will be returning and recommending him as well. Thanks again!! :^) I brought my car in after I was told the alternator wasn't holding a charge, but asked him to do a full inspection; he printed a list of everything he'd found that could use attention and went over it all with me, and the estimated costs of the repairs. He wasn't at all overbearing or pushy about any of it, and took the time to explain the suggested repairs while I weighed what I could afford to have done vs. what would have to wait. When you go to a mechanic, sometimes estimates are off (that's life!) but I found he was spot on as far as the actual cost was at the end. Also, the inspection charge was refunded after we decided to go through with a few of the repairs. It's worth noting his business is set up at his home. I wasn't sure about that at first, but it turned out to be a sign he really did know what he was doing. His garage is in the backyard, a tall building with a lift, among all his other tools and accumulated odds and ends. My point here is that he's obviously someone with skill, knowledge, and drive for mechanics, so much so that he had a very capable garage built at home. No one who was just some goofball who didn't know what they were doing would commit like that. Professional, patient, he's absolutely the guy you want to puzzle out whatever might be wrong with your vehicle. Very thankful to have found him!

Mark got my car on the road after a trusted garage place quoted me almost 1000.00 and Mark did it for half the quote. I passed emissions and I am on the road again. Mark is my new mechanic. 🙂

This is the guy you want to work on your car. Not only is he an extremely competent mechanic, he is ethically motivated in his life. He was a black belt martial arts instructor for years, which I think speaks to his integrity. Here's my experience. My Toyota 4Runner was broken down in the mountains of southern Colorado, and two local rural mechanics couldn't figure it out after a week of trying and parts. I called Mark up in desperation, and he correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone from a thousand miles away. He knows exactly what he's doing, and has been doing it for almost 40 years.
