I had brought my vehicle in last week and had probably one of the best experiences at Mata Auto. A combination of being greeted by the owner and his demeanor was so inviting. And then the work JR had done. He would call with updates and was honest with me. It started with 1 error code that then became 4 or 5. He explained what he was doing so I could understand and it wasn't condescendingqt all. I would highly recommend the Matas for any vehicle issue.

If you want your car done correctly and in a timely manner go to Mata Auto & repair. Fren & Jr are very honest & transparent with you. They treat you how they would like to be treated. If you are trying to cut corners and use the back yard mechanics like I would to save a buck, it’s not worth it. Trust me I learned the hard way. Fren & Jr always come through for me!!! Moving forward, I will not be taking my vehicle no where else for service. Thank you Guys! I truly appreciate you all!

Fren has been working on our cars since before he had a shop. We use to be able to always count on a good price for great work. I use to love that they were an old school shop. This is how we used to feel, however due to some dishonesty (in my opinion) with them recently we have had to find another mechanic shop. I spoke with Fren about my concerns and he became defensive and couldn't care less which was so shocking to me. He defended the quote we were given even when it was wrong (we found out by getting a quote from 2 other places). Please be cautious and get another quote to ensure what they are telling you is the truth. I'm truly sad about this but I guess things change. I wish them the best always. Honesty is a big thing for me as well as being valued as a long time customer that had never had any complaints or issues prior to this.

Love this shop when my former shop close due to retirement I did not know what my family was going to do in finding a reliable shop for car repair. Well, we found it in Mata Auto Repair. They are family orientated, honest, and reliable. They are also timely and will find you just what you need. Prices are fair and they will work with you. It is a joy when I get the chance to refer Mata.

Nothing but FIVE stars for these guys!! My car died on the side of the road south of Blair, the towing company recommended Mata Auto Repair to look at it. After getting it there, it was no time before Fren’s son started diagnosing the problem, even though he was on crutches! Unfortunately for me it was un repairable, however I greatly appreciate the honest, professional advice and support that these guys gave! It is exceedingly difficult to find a thorough diagnosis of any auto problem anymore from the majority of auto repair businesses. The crew at Mata Auto Repair have loads of integrity and actually care about getting you back on the road. I highly recommend them!

I was referred here. When asked when they could look at my car, they said they could squeeze me in. They were able to diagnose my car within a couple hours. They were super courteous and prompt.

Fixed my son's car up really nice! Very reasonably priced! Such great service. We unfortunately bought a lemon from a place in Council Bluffs, and Mata has helped us every step of the way. So honest, knowledgeable, and respectful. Exactly what you want in a repair man. We are so grateful to have found them and already used them multiple times!!

Stopped in to get a quote on having a new exhaust bent for my truck from the headers back. They got me in for a quote and looked at my truck right away. The quote was right around $1900.00, which seemed a bit steep. Overall friendly staff and mechanics.

Appreciate you Nicole. You weren’t able to do what we needed there but she had no problem finding someone that could do it and went as far as getting the information number and address. I contacted them and yes they were able to provide the service I needed I have an appointment with the guy tomorrow. As I was leaving the mechanic gave a head nod and smile. Glad to run into other business professionals that provide good customer service and courtesy to those even if they haven’t spent money with them.

For years and years I’ve looked everywhere for a trustworthy shop to take my vehicles to. A few weeks ago a super good friend of mine recommended this shop and long story short, I will never go anywhere else! The owner Fren is beyond genuine and shoots straight. You can trust that he will tell you what needs to be done now, in the future or how to do a lot of work yourself. I had a ton of work done on my 2007 dodge Ram and to my surprise the bill was actually below what I estimated. I could not thank the Mata Auto Team enough for finally giving me peace of mind on where I can take my vehicle. I live about 45minutes away but totally worth the drive. Best shop I’ve ever been to!

The Nissan dealership told us we needed to replace the engine on our Xterra with less than 100k miles. We were referred to Mata Auto Repair by a friend to get a 2nd opinion. After inspecting, they found minor issues and fixed them for a very reasonable price and also very quickly. The best part, they said we absolutely did NOT need to replace the engine. Really great shop! Highly recommend them!

The team at Mata is always quick and professional. They go out of their way to make sure everything is explained to the customers in detail and that no work is done without approval. It's refreshing to have such a good experience at an auto repair shop!
