Been a customer of Matlock Tire Service for over 30 years. I've always been extremely satisfied with their service. Quality work in a comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend Matlock Tire Service. Both locations do exceptional work with friendly staff so choose either the Lenoir City location or the Farragut location. I've used both locations. Very satisfied customer!

They reported my mileage wrong (doubled the actual mileage) to Carfax. Owner Jimmy Matlock refused to correct it with Carfax, told me sorry about my luck and asked me to leave. A $24k deal I had negotiated with a buyer fell through when Jimmy called the buyer telling them he wouldn't correct the reported mileage RESPONSE: Don't try and lie and take credit for something you didn't do. Printing out notes on an invoice and giving them to me doesn't resolve the issue and you know it. You have to open a case with carfax, fill out forms, and submit documentation which Jimmy refused to do. And when he called my buyer and told him he wasn't going to even try and fix the issue the buyer immediately walked away. I'm the one who ultimately had to work with carfax over the next few weeks to correct the problem not you. You did nothing but create a problem, refuse to fix it and walk away, all while treating me like dirt.

Is it possible to look forward to having your car repaired? Yes, if you choose Matlock! From the moment I walked through the doors and was greeted with a smile and “how can we help?” to a smile and “thank you, see you next time!” as I was leaving, my experience was pleasant and enjoyable. Back home for Thanksgiving after driving in from Charleston with a leaking tire. Was hoping to get it repaired before driving back. Staff was incredibly helpful, they were busy but able to have someone take a look to see if it was reparable. It was, and they patched from the inside, so it was basically a new tire again. Tried to pay for the repair and was told there was no charge for it. I was very thankful I did have some cash to tip the young man that repaired it for me. I was only there about 30 minutes total but their service and kindness in helping me made a huge impression. Highly recommend, great folks!!

I arrived early for my appointment. That were ok with that. They took my car back for an oil change , and a tire rotation. They were done with my car before my appointment.

Brought my Yukon in to diagnose a noise while braking. The tech couldn’t duplicate the noise but saw my rotors needed to be resurfaced and the back of the brake pads needed to be greased and was told that it could be the reason for the noise. OK’d the repairs and drove the car home and the noise was still there. Went back to Matlock and took Brody on a drive and this time we heard it. Put the car back in the shop for what they thought the problem was and after driving it again, it’s still not fixed. Opted out on not going back for a third try at fixing it.

I have used Matlock Tire twice in the last six months to repair two tires. They are very quick and efficient. I will not be using anywhere else for my tire needs in the future. They are fantastic!

I just got new tires and went to Matlocks for an alignment. I was on time for my appointment and they had me checked out within an hour. My car runs straight so that’s all good. No complaints. I did walk out of there thinking that was the nicest waiting room I’ve ever experienced and the customer service was exceptional. They treated everyone that walked in the door with courtesy. I’ve been in Knoxville for a long time but never used many services that far west on Kingston Pike. I’m glad I found this place. They deserve their great reviews.

I came in to get a new tire. The mechanics were extremely helpful, but the guy I dealt with, Mike, was anything but. He told me the only fitting tire they had was a new Michelin tire that cost $220. A couple of mechanics told me that they had a used tire that was much cheaper, and while it was not the exact same size it was close enough that it should not cause any problems when installed on the back wheel. Mike refused to let them install the cheaper tire, citing possible damage to my vehicle, even though his mechanics said it should be OK and I was fine with taking that risk regardless. Since my car was already in the parking lot, I had no choice but to bite the bullet and buy the expensive tire. As the tire was being installed, one of the mechanics told me, "Sorry, this is a bunch of bullshit." To be fair, I am not knowledgable about cars, but it concerns me that Mike and his mechanics weren't on the same page. He may have been correct that the used tire would have caused problems, but if that's the case then it would seem the mechanics were incompetent. The way I see it, either Mike took advantage of the fact that I had no other options to sell me the most expensive tire they had, or his mechanics offered to sell me an ill-fitting tire that would inevitably damage my vehicle. Based on his demeanor I'm inclined to believe it's the former, but either way I will not be coming here for service in the future and I do not recommend that anyone else does either.

I had a blow out on the interstate, my tires are a odd hard to find size. We called everywhere and it was going to take 2~4 days with everyone else. Matlock had my tires in 2hours!!! They got us in quickly, they were all so very kind. We would recommend them to anyone!! Thank you Matlock!!! They said they've never pulled anything this size out of a tire, God was most certainly watching out for me when my tire blew out because I could have very well flipped my car and have died but instead I am alive and well!
