Places a ripoff in a scam I had dual converter muffler and pipes all the way out ran I wrecked the vehicle and took the exhaust off one converter was completely hollowed out and gutted they are scammers

Took my car up there to get a catalytic converter because I had code for it after getting a Brand New Transmission put in my car. I was quoted 900.00 for the job. I remember it being a Friday because the guy told me to come back on Mon - Tues. To make a long story short: I kept bringing it to the shops attention that the catalytic converter code went away for 2 days and came right back... I was told numerous times to continue driving the vehicle until the code went away "Now my car has an exhaust leak and is basically driving in limp mode with a very loud sound with vibration on my gas pedal" (The catalytic converter usually fail when the mechanic doesn't put the bracket back on the converter to prevent it from snapping off/exhaust leaks.) **Google it** I just called up there to the shop this morning (Apr 3, 2024) and some guy answered the phone. He listened to see what the problem was just for him to cut me off while I was talking... Blurting out THERE'S NO WARRANTY !! And telling me "YOU NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION!!!" THAT'S A MOTOR PROBLEM!!!!" I called back to let him know that I was a recent customer and that I was told that I had a one year warranty then he changed his attitude up a little and then told me to bring my car up there this Friday. I hope y'all fix my car because I didn't have any problems with an exhaust leak and need my vehicle to get back n fourth to work. Good luck!

I got $1800 worth of work done and my car was driving horribly afterwards, instead of being kind enough to simply say bring it back and let them double check it and make sure they didn't miss anything, I got an attitude from the mechanic and no help at all. It took a different mechanic to discover what they did wrong. I will NEVER go back to Matt's and definitely would NOT recommend anyone else to go there. If they mess up your car, you better believe they are NOT going to fix it!

I had a catalytic converter done here that stopped working almost a year in. They can't seem to find my information from the money spent on the catalytic converter and install that didn't last a year. When I called...I was told if I can't find my original receipt, I can't prove it was done there and the warranty is only a year. Apparently they don't keep records of work and payment in a manner where you can be looked up by your car and personal information that's shared when you bring your car in( ie. phone number, name, address even though they called me when the work was done to pick up my car and pay for it)) It would be another 700$ otherwise. I ended up purchasing a new catalytic converter online for less than 200$ then went SOMEWHERE ELSE and paid 200$ to put it on. Problem solved... inspection passed. Less than 500$ total. I ended up at Don's Muffler on the Southside.

This is the only place that I would recommend…I actually live in Wyoming and always bring my vehicle there and recommend anyone I know…he has the most experience…is very trustworthy and most of all…his kindness is amazing…for all you do …Matt’s mufflers is for you …!!!….thanks for always helping me out Matt…!!!

This place is horrible. They don’t want to take responsibility of their wrong doing. Matt’s attitude is trash & I’ll never spend another dime with him. He out a bad part in my car & won’t warranty the part. Wish I could have given him 0 star

If I can do no star I would. They played me out of $900 putting on my catalytic converter and while doing so they damaged it. I called to tell them the engine light on and the same code read I was yelled at so loud by the guy who claims he the owner. He was very rude and disrespectful never said let him check it, but denied ever making the mistake. Run fast this place is Saten. I also was not giving a receipt for the work. Very unprofessional. Bbb about to find out as well shut it down $900 is a lot of money to take from someone and not honor your work. Run fast terrible place to ever go

They were nothing short of AWESOME! From the time I pulled up with a noisy muffler, till the time I left with a car quieter than a church mouse, no more than 25 minutes had passed! It was like something out of the TV show the A Team! Highly recommended!
