Pricing was fair, service was quick, and the mechanic was very cool and knowledgable. My tire went flat before our appointment, so I couldn't pick up the parts that were needed to fix my brakes. He ended up coming out to refill my tire, and still made it over later that day to replace the brakes and rotors. Communication was great throughout. I do want to leave a word of warning about getting your own parts. The front pads that I got from AutoZone were the wrong size, and he ended up having to run out to get some new ones mid service. He said this kind of thing happens a lot. If you do want to get your own parts, make sure to use the VIN and double check everything. After returning the wrong pads to AutoZone, I learned that if I had used the VIN instead of the make and model that this wouldn't have happened. If I could do it again, I probably would have just had them supply the parts, especially considering how good their pricing is.

Just based on the initial interaction I had with Ryan, I can tell he is a no BS type of guy. Quoting is straightforward and I will update the review once all of the services are completed. So far very pleased! Update: Services were completed and he even bought items at the store before arriving, anticipating I might need them for the service to be successful. Prompt. Professional. I will be using him again in the future.

I was visiting Austin, when my car wouldn't start. I called Ryan. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, picked up the replacement car part, and came by my hotel in 20-30 minutes. He replaced my car battery within 10 minutes. Even though his service charge was $150 -- he was up front with it -- it was worth it. Honest and efficient service!

Ryan is awesome. He came to my house, I gave him my keys, went back inside, and 25 mins later he texted me that my brake pads were replaced. Amazing. I even told him the wrong axle needed replacing, and he caught my mistake and was prepared with the correct parts. Less expensive, more knowledgeable, kinder guy, and I didn't have to leave the house - 5 stars

I’d like to be transparent that this review is for customer service and honesty Ryan displayed. The dealership had my Honda 9 days for ac issue they likely caused and their diagnosis made no sense. I chose to take car home. Exhausted from taking my car in, I decided to try MD. Ryan was easy to text/communicate with, was prompt on time, quick to assess, knowledgeable and was very honest and kind. He didn’t even feel right charging me until the issue was 100% resolved. I really appreciated that, especially after having Honda try to sell me everything I didn’t need. He recharged my car to get me back to Corpus, unfortunately I wasn’t able to use Ryan to further repair the issue since I needed to hit the road that day. But I will def recommend and use in future based on his honesty. Thanks, Ryan!

Ryan was awesome. He was very communicative and let me know when he was coming to check out my car. I ended up not needing a service he offered as what was wrong with my car was the fault of a local oil change shop, but he pointed the issue out to me and gave really good advice on how to go about getting them to fix it and offered to check the work after the fact. Very honest and very straightforward guy. Would not hesitate to call him again for any possible future issues with my car. The rest of the reviews aren't a fluke. He's a good guy.

Ryan is a unicorn; he's an honest and friendly mechanic who comes to you. He was able to come out the day that I called him, purchased parts on the way, and was exactly on time. He had the hood open and was already elbow-deep in the engine by the time I had my shoes on and came outside. The original fix didn't take, but he was out in the rain under the hood the next day to make it right. He's an honest dude and makes sure the job is done. He's also super-nice and his dog is very cool. He's now my go-to for all my vehicles.

Ryan was at my house less than 16 hours after contacting him. He immediately figured out the problem with my battery, replaced it, and checked to make sure everything else was good to go. I HIGHLY recommend using Ryan and MD Automotive for any vehicle trouble you're experiencing.

The air conditioning in my 2002 Nissan Xterra died my son and I was kind enough to share Ryan’s name with me and I gave him a call he came out and had the problem. Diagnosed within minutes and solved within 30 minutes with a car as old as mine if I had taken it to any other mechanic, I’m sure they would’ve told me I needed the compressor replaced but all I needed was Freon added to the system Ryan is professional, courteous, and very trustworthy. So glad I found him.

Highly recommend! Quick response and appointment availability. Ended up needing a battery replacement, entire service took less than 10 minutes. Even got to meet his cute + friendly dog, which was a fun bonus!

I drive across the country for a living, and my cargo van broke down near Austin, Texas on a busy highway. It was a sunny day and the temperature was about 100°. Hot as blazes out! I contacted MD Automotive I told him I thought my alternator was bad. In just over an hour Ryan picked up the parts needed and came and replaced the alternator on the side of the road. I was back on the road unbelievably quickly. He was extremely friendly and helpful and I couldn’t be more grateful. I should also point out that the cost of the repair was actually less than what my personal mechanic would’ve charged me back home. I couldn’t believe it. Being 1200 miles from home in a helpless position I wasn’t really expecting honesty and integrity, but that’s exactly what I received from Ryan and his company MD Automotive. Thanks again! A+++

Very good mechanic, he came to me and wasn't able to fix the problem himself but diagnosed it and gave me a number to the locksmith that did fix it. He charged me nothing to come out and spent at least 30 min on it. Highly recommend MD Automotive.
