The Gaylord location greased my boat trailer bearings in late April with a non-marine grade grease. I brought this to their attention and they said they have never had a problem with their red lithium grease. Less than two months later my bearing failed, broke drum, brakes, and tire fell off the trailer two months later. I also overheard a staff person instructing (not showing) a new employee what to do on his side of the trailer. That was the side that failed. Over $1,400 in damage contributed by one staff person insisting their grease selection was fine and inexperienced staff doing a job unsupervised. They offered nothing for my situation and could not even make a return phone call in the 3 weeks I called them for a potential resolution. Grand Rapids corporate decision makers also would take the time to call me upon request.

I'm sure some of the employees there are helpful. But this morning I stopped and got gas. I needed a few pounds of air in my tire so asked if there was a compressor around I could use, but there was not. Being that it's a tire service center/ gas station I thought that would be the spot to go.

The manager Brad at Meekhof tire and auto repair in Gaylord Michigan was monumentally effective in resolving an unavailable part for my Mercedes Sprinter cargo van. I am from out of town and I rented a van from Penske while Brad rectified a difficult predicament. I am back on the road and most grateful.

My wife and I were traveling down to Grand Rapids from the U.P.. Just north of Gaylord, our vehicle started making a loud noise. We pulled into Meekhof because they were right off the exit. They jumped right in to help us diagnose and fix the problem quickly and we were back on the road in no time. We were very impressed with their service.

Desperately needed alternator replaced on my van. Talked to them Friday morning, got a quote for almost $400.00 less than what my local shop told me. Even though they were extremely busy they got my van in the next Saturday morning at 8AM. Once they were done my total was about $30.00 LESS than what I was quoted on Friday. This is definitely my new place for any service work my van needs. It is more than worth the drive from Kalkaska. Plus they are extremely polite. It is so nice to have found a trustworthy place for auto repairs.

Had a tire on my motorhome blow out on 127. Called Brad on the Monday and his tech came on Tuesday and replaced the tire. Super friendly and fast response. I highly recommend these guys. Meekhof has always treated me fairly and honestly.

It is so comforting to gave a car place you feel comfortable with! This place was recommended to me last year when I moved here and I have had the rattle-traps I drive in there Multiple times! Brad, Brian (MacGyver) and the rest have taken great care of me. I am happy to be at a point where if Brad Tells me whats going on w the bucket of bolts, I KNOW that IS whats going on!! Thx guys!!

Not from around here. Had an exhaust clamp on my diesel break earlier today and this was the first place I called. I know with diesels parts they are not as common for availability however, the guys were able to get what we needed to get the job done. Good friendly staff service was fast took me in right off the street. In and out in about an hour if that. Would recommend anyone to come and check them out for parts and service. Price was also very reasonable. Staff very knowledgeable.
