This place has really gone down in service quality in the last few years, maybe there was a change in ownership. They now charge a "convenience fee" for paying by credit card, even if you are having hundreds or thousands of dollars in repairs done. Who pays cash for these repairs? Their electronic inspections will point out "old" parts that aren't having issues to try to drive up the repair invoice. Do yourself a favor and a good this place.

I’ve been bringing our cars to this Meineke for oil changes and other work for maybe 8 years or so. A year or so ago the windshield fluid in my wife’s car was not topped off and the coolant was a little low. I called and explained this and was told to bring it back to get it done. When we brought the cars back, the manager then said (with attitude) that they don’t normally do this and that he would fill the fluid this one time only. Meineke always did this in the past and the website says fluids topped off. No worries on my part, just a onetime thing I supposed. We took our cars today for oil changes. I had made appointments earlier in the week. The supervisor took our keys and asked if we would be waiting there. I said no, we will walk across the street for lunch and come back. One and a half hours later we were back, and our cars were still in the same parking spaces. I went inside and waited for 5 minutes before opening the shop door and asking for someone. The same supervisor came over and said they had not gotten to our cars yet. I told him I’ll take the keys because I was not waiting any longer. At that point he started raising his voice at me about pulling cars in and out because they were backed up and told me I did not need to take an attitude. I said I had made appointments and never had to f’ing wait so long. Then the guy really went off on me about my disrespect. I went back in the lobby area with keys where my wife was waiting. My wife did not know what had happened, see only saw the guy raising his voice at me. She asked him for his name. He poceeded to tell her in a loud voice "You don't need to know my name", and then told the both of use to get out of his store and not come back. Maybe he was another supervisor who needs training, but I’m not going back.

Would not go back, went in for a new battery and oil change. Left with 850 dollar bill, felt like I was taken advantage of. I have a car with 35,000 miles in it, and I feel like a was sold services I didn’t need

Thank you to the staff at meineke off Shelbyville Rd for your help with my car! They helped me get a tow truck to them for free when my car broke down (must be within 5 miles of meineke for it to be free), ran diagnostics on my car quickly, and were so informative when it came to explaining what was wrong with my vehicle. Friendly staff too!

Horrible! Overpriced and half assed at the repairs. Took forever and still isn’t actually right. Lied about fixing my car. Were actually too incompetent to fix the problem. Called corporate office to get it finally handled. They also stole my battery and replaced with a cheaper one and tried to charge me for the new battery. Straight up liars! Will absolutely never go to any meineke ever again. Especially this branch. This is literally the type of mechanic that makes you not trust any of them.

I took my wife’s Honda Accord there shopping for a reasonable place to get the brakes done. They did a thorough check and determined that only the front brakes and rotor needed replacing. I had been told by the dealer that all 4 wheels were bad. Made an appointment for later in the week. Dine as promised. I priced out the parts in advance and their parts and labor seemed fair.

They plugged a slow puncture but wouldn’t put the whee back on. Gotta say, I never came across that before. Wasn’t impressed 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was reasonably quick service, but they forgot to put the caps on two of my tires. It's not a huge deal but pretty annoying and makes me less likely to trust them to be thorough or careful. I could call them, but what would they do? I wasn't going to say anything but this review request showed up in my email, so I figured I might as well say something. Should probably look for somewhere else.

My vehicle was worked on before my inspection, went in for one issue came out with another, the issue was my water pump they didn’t let me know that until they fixed something that didn’t even need fixed! Previous experience at a different location, they inspect the vehicle first tell you the issues, it’s the customers choice on which issue need to be fixed, they overpriced me $504 for a hose replacement which I’m sure that’s how they make commission kind of see why people don’t go to this location often, definitely was my last time going there for anything, guy at the counter told me 200-300 at first before even pulling my car in the garage, but somehow the total ended up being 504 all for a rubber hose that wasn’t damaged! Highly suggest other options before going to this place they just try to get as much money as they can out of you instead of worrying about the customers real complaint about they vehicle, not sure how they sleep at night after playing customers out they money!

They addressed all my issues with my heater hose the first time and my ac heat motor blower the 2nd time. Oscar is a great manager and fit me in whenever possible. Quality work at this location.

They replaced my transmission and they did a good job. Only issue was that I didn’t need a wheel alignment when I took it in. I now need a wheel alignment after picking it up. Overall they did a great job.

Life Savers. I needed to get my old (2006) car in shape for the drive to St. Louis over Thanksgiving. Meineke rose to the challenge. Identified the problem areas and when authorized made the repairs in a timely manner. They identified other areas that needed future attention and I know where I'm going to go for those repairs. The only reason I didn’t give a five-star is because of a lack of communication between the mechanic and the clerk, but the reason they’ve earned a four-star instead of a three-star is for making my oil change free: the clerk warned me of a longer wait time on my oil change due to only having one mechanic on staff that morning but that he was running late. My wait time was two hours, and I never received an update until I asked, after 1.5hours of waiting, why my car was just being raised up for the work. I do appreciate the clerks upfront honesty and the freebie.

Well I went to meineke again to get some brake work done they were very very good management knew what they were doing and explain to what was going on I enjoyed their service their mechanics are very good at the place was clean very busy place very busy place I don't hear any more grind grind grind or squeak squeak squeak the front rotors and pads are great they did a great job
