I have given Midas three chances to resolve the ongoing issues with my vehicle, but unfortunately, I’ve been left disappointed with the results and their approach to customer service. While I understand that I chose this location and drive an hour to get there, I expected a higher level of professionalism and transparency based on past experiences with the brand. On my first visit, I explained the problem thoroughly, and they identified the issue as being related to a couple of coil packs. After replacing them, my engine light came back on a few hundred miles later. When I returned, they mentioned it could also be the spark plugs or possibly another coil, but they refused to look further into the issue because they claimed my insurance required a “transmission download” that could only be done at a Ford dealership. I took the vehicle to Ford, where I was told that no such download exists for my particular truck. Frustrated, I replaced the spark plugs myself, but the issue persisted, and the engine light came back again. When I returned to Midas, they replaced the catalytic converter, which resolved the engine light temporarily. However, the original issue—vibrations and sluggishness—remains. Throughout this process, I’ve felt that Midas hasn’t taken the time to fully address my concerns. Their communication has been vague and dismissive at times, making me feel as though I was wrong for asking questions. For instance, when I asked for the brand of the coil packs they installed so I could ensure uniformity while replacing the others myself, they couldn’t provide an answer. I was told the part information “goes to their underwriters,” and no one in the shop could tell me what they had used. In my opinion, this lack of transparency and thoroughness is unacceptable. Midas has changed since the early 2000s, and I can no longer recommend this location. While the staff is respectful in tone, the overall experience has been frustrating and unsatisfactory. I would advise others to seek a more reliable and communicative auto repair shop.

Took car in and was told it was the tire not the front end. took my car elsewhere and was told the suspension needed repair. Shame on midas for bad service.
