I had an outstanding experience at Midas! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. Rick was the best and very helpful! The repair was completed on time, and the prices were very reasonable. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure my car was running smoothly. I will definitely be returning for any future maintenance and highly recommend Midas to anyone looking for trustworthy auto care!

I moved to Austin not too long ago, and I finally found a great auto service business! It’s my first time going here to Midas, and my experience was great! Steve was very respectful and pleasant to talk to. My wait time wasn’t too long either. I Definitely recommend this location.

DO NOT GET RIPPEP OFF BY THIS PLACE Steve is great at customer service but that’s about it. Called first thing in the morning inquiring about how busy they were and how fast could get me a simple alignment after I changed the tie rods. Was told right now is the best time. Showed up 10 min later to drop off the car and was told it would be ready in 2 hours max, fine! 3 hours later I receive a call telling me that my rack and pinion is bad and needs to be changed before alignment and it would be $1100 to change it before alignment is done. I told them no, just do the alignment even if there is slight play in the steering. They tried to convince me to do installment payment for 5% interest over 3 months. Again I declined and asked for the alignment. Was then told the car was no longer on the machine as they had to inquire with me first about the rack and pinion and it would be done in 45min. One hour later, I show up car still not ready and was told it would be another 45min. Fine, I said just call me when it’s ready. Got the call went to pick it up and asked for the alignment report I have been getting all my life showing the before and after and proof they actually did something. Was told they can’t print it but the tech can show me on the computer. Fine, I will just take a picture with my phone. Tech couldn’t figure out how to pull out the before and after view and only showing me the current values. Fine, I will just take a picture of the after values. Took a picture of the front, tech was reluctant to scroll to show the rear values, I insist. Finally he scrolls and half of the values are in the red meaning they are not within spec, tech said it does not matter it’s close enough. Fine, I cut my losses and leave. Did some research online to quickly find that the rack and pinion has a preload adjustment screw to remove the slack from the system. I get under the car and in less than 5 minutes, I tighten the adjustment screw and now the play in the steering is gone. Car drive straight enough hence the 2 stars instead of 1. But really, how hard would it have been for them to adjust the preload screw as part of the alignment. I am guessing they are trying to maximize their bottom line by pushing unnecessary work. I consider myself a car savvy person but how many clueless people would just believe them and fork thousands of dollars for repairs or replacement parts that are not needed. It’s border line fraud and I wish there was some sort of customer protection or accountability. Again, DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF, DO YOUR RESEARCH AND GET SECOND OPINIONS.

Well let me tell you about Midas at Guadalupe after taking my Cadillac in there to get an oil change a day later my engine seized up so they offered to replace the motor in my vehicle with a used motor but would not give me the name or the bill of lading of the company that sold them the motor so I could verify the mileage that was on the vehicle on top of that they gave me verbal email and text confirmation that they would pay up to $35 a day for a rental car during the time that it took for them to replace the engine in my car which took 35 days I billed them for 33 days of a rental car that I rented from an individual because I had a sense of urgency I am on the heart transplant list and also I'm on disability And am a senior citizen I could not afford to take that money out of my pocket to pay up front for a rental car when it came time to pay Midas at Guadalupe reneged they did not pay me for the rental car nor did they give me any loss of use of my vehicle during the whole process they treated me like I was the villain like I had done something wrong every time I called to ask about my car I'd get one word answers especially Mario the operations director absolutely rude when I'd say goodbye they just hang the phone up they were very rude and disrespectful only thing I did was take my car in to get an oil change and this is how Midas treated me word of warning be careful when they get backed into a corner they tend to be not a company you can trust now they're forcing me to take them to court to recoup my losses. I hope whoever reads this doesn't have to do the same when they screwed up a simple oil change and then they blamed it on a bad oil filter how is that possible due to the puddle that was underneath my car I believe it was the oil plug wasn't put in correctly but when dealing with a company as dishonest as they are I'll never know the truth I can only go off what they say I'm embarrassed that I looked at the better Business bureau after I took my car there and found out they are not an accredited business, All the complaints that have been filed against them have fallen on deaf ears they've done nothing about them The BBB doesn't think they're a good company and neither do I

Excellent service here! The gentlemen at the front were very kind and they even showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. As someone who doesn’t know anything about cars, it can be pretty intimidating to take my car to a shop. However, the people working here made me feel comfortable and answered the millions of questions I had for them. I will definitely come back here again :)

Peter was super helpful with airing up my car’s tires! I was in and out in 3 minutes flat. Highly recommend if you’re also dealing with cold weather-induced low tire pressure.
