I just got the Midas touch today I took my car in for brake pads and rotors they checked everything I have an app that tells me what's wrong with my car so I was awaiting for them to add more they didn't I will be returning the honesty is what got me and my car is stopping on time thank you gentlemen

Gabriel is an amazing store manager! I went to get my oil changed one Saturday and of course it was extremely busy. The phones kept ringing and the customers kept coming in! Gabriel didn't tell not one customer that "we're too busy we can't help you today". Instead he strategically was planning and adding customers to the schedule and giving them honest feedback! Thank you Gabriel for being well organized and actually caring about all of your customers needs!

Ripped off. I went to Midas on south dairy Ashford.road to get my oil change done, was told to change my engine mount that is very urgent. I told them to go ahead then was told I have to change everything, told them to change one because the price was so much so I did just one. They put engine mount that was not new in my car and looks like they weld it. My car shakes so bad and when I tookit back there because it’s on warranty, the manager told me today that because I fixed the other engine mount somewhere else they void the warranty of the engine mount I did with them. customer has right to fix their car wherever they like. The manager started talking to me in a rude manner by telling me go call your police, we meet in court. That they are not going to fix my car after charging me so much for new engine mount and they put after market in my car. Beware of Midas, they don’t care about how their customer feels but just after the money.

Gabriel was great! He told me it would be a 35-45 minute wait for an oil change, and the oil change took 40 minutes. The waiting area is very comfortable as well. Quick, easy, and effective services. Definitely would recommend.

Gabriel, was AMAZING!!! Customer service was on point. Although they did not have the filter, he ordered it and it was delivered less than 10 minutes.

Had my AC evacuated and refilled with freon but my ac compressor was broken so one of the guys told me that if I replace my compressor he wont charge me again. So I replace my AC compressor myself and brought it in but apparently their machine was broken, so the guy tell me to go to another midas location and that he called ahead about me to the other location but when I get there, the different midas guys were unaware and never got a call from the original Midas location I was out. So they were not honest about that. Won't be going to the Dairy Ashford location anymore, the guys there are not honorable.

June 18, 2025 RE: Midas Auto Service & Tires 2500 Diary Ashford Road Houston, TX 77077 Repair Order #0153540 6/4/2024 Service Writer ALEX K Dear Sir or Madam: I would like to register a complaint. On 6/4/24 I took my 2018 Ford F150 pickup to the above location for an oil change. Upon picking up the truck I was told that my truck needed to have the LEFT and RIGHT TIE RODS removed and replaced after which time a WHEEL ALIGNMENT would be required at an estimated cost of $910.41. I asked if he could show me the problem. I was quickly shown photos of the worn parts which were also emailed to me. Being retired and short money and time I could not leave the vehicle to have the work done immediately. As he had previously done similar work on his own car, my mechanically minded son said that he would be willing to do the work himself for me if I would purchase the parts. The part were purchase and we began to start the work on Saturday June 15th. To our shock, when we removed the tires, we saw that the tie rod ends were in fine condition. Upon further examination of the photos supplied by the shop it was evident that those photos were not of my truck. They were trying to fabricate unnecessary work. I was quite disappointed that a reputable Midas shop would attempt a repair scam on a senior citizen. I returned to the shop asking to speak with the manager. Gabriel F. identified himself as the manager but had nothing to say other than he wasn’t the one who did the service. As the manager I said that it was his responsibility to assure that a quality facility is being run. He just said that he couldn’t do anything and replied “talk to corporate”. It’s my contention that this shop probably has photos of multiple defective parts kept on their phones that they share with unsuspecting customers duping them into paying for unnecessary work. Below are the 2 photos supplied by text messages from phone number 281-780-15... You can see that the wheels are different in both photos. Also is a photo taken of my tie rod end not needing service and the estimate. Anxiously awaiting your reply,

Absolutely stellar service at this location! I was in a bind with my car making some strange noises, and they not only diagnosed the issue swiftly but also fixed it efficiently. Gabriel was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the problem in terms I could understand without talking down to me. Glad I have a nearby shop close to where I live. I will be definitely be back!

Excellent Service and Expertise! I recently had my car serviced at Midas and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the general manager Gabriel and felt like my car was in good hands. The mechanics were knowledgeable, efficient, and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. The service was completed with care, and my car has been running good ever since (will return for future work). I highly recommend this Midas location to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy car service.

This was the worst service I have ever received. I took my car in to get a catalytic converter replaced and they were never able to fix it. I had to take my car back 5 times because it kept tripping the check engine light after it was "repaired". I ended up having to take it to a new repair shop and spend even more money to fix what this company did. It turns out they were installing the wrong parts. The store manager, Steve, was incredibly rude and would just put me on permanent hold every time I called. Their district manager also has never called me back. I did not receive a refund for any of this either so I was out almost $4k. Do not use this company if you do not want your money stolen from you. UPDATE: I have filed a few cases with their corporate team and was told this stores regional manager would reach out to me, but that never happened. I followed up with the instructions that was commented on this review and no one reached out either. I even filed a report with the BBB. Do NOT go to this store. They do not know what they are doing, they are basically liars since I do what is asked and nothing happens, and when they don't fix your problem you are still stuck with a bill and no resolution insight.

I visited this store as I had a grinding sound when braking. I thought I was working with a front desk rep but come to find out it was the district manager Alex. It’s really cool to see a higher level manager working in the store to help. He broke things down simply and was very fair with pricing. I’ll be returning for my other needs as I found someone to trust! Thank you team!

I was having a hard time looking for a mechanic in the area but thankfully I ran into this MIDAS & spoke with the man in the front desk who was able to assist me. He provided me with the best care and answered all my questions, he quoted me a brake job and we scheduled an appointment for next week. Highly recommend to come for great service.

Got an oil change today on walk in! However the staff tried to give me a hard time for using the Groupon played around like they couldn’t do it same day only to do it … also the white guy needs to take a chill pill! I Will not return thank God it was only 13 dollars…the desk staff was mad annoying!

If you take your vehicle here, make them give you an estimate in writing which includes the warranty. Do NOT believe in their verbal communication. Learn from my experience. The catalytic converters on my SUV were stolen. OEM replacement was over $3000 which was too costly for a $6000-$7000 vehicle so I decided to go with aftermarket. I shopped around. The cost ranged from $600 to $1800. After talking to Sam at this location, I decided to pay for a more expensive cost for 1 year warranty because I knew Toyota vehicles were picky with the catalytic converters. I asked him multiple times (at least 5 times) about the warranty because I worked on cars and had personal problem with cat. converters before so I knew it was risky to use aftermarket cat. converters. Every time I asked, he responded with "1 year warranty". I paid $1550 to have 2 cat. converters and 2 oxygen sensors installed. When I got the receipt, I asked the front desk lady, Miranda, to make sure the warranty was 1 year and she said yes. Because of the way Sam talked to me, I thought he was being honest and professional so I even sent a friend with stolen cat. converters to this location. A few days after 3 months and 2200 miles later, check engine light turned on with error code P0420: Catalyst System Efficiency – Below Threshold on bank 1. I brought the car back, Sam now told me they installed universal cat. converters which had 90 days warranty (?). He blamed it on me for going with the cheaper options, thus, the shorter warranty. He didn't say anything about different cat. converters being used going from $17xx to $1550. It was purely price negotiation. NOT ONCE did he mentioned anything about the warranty being 90 days when I asked him about the warranty just before I agreed to have the work done. I would have walked out of there if I knew the warranty was 90 days. Who would pay $1550 to have 90 days warranty on the cat. converters? Now, he said he would work with me by attempting to ask the vendor to replace the part but I must pay $187.xx labor charge because labor would be warrantied for 90 days anyway. He wouldn't acknowledge that if he used better cat. converters, I wouldn't have the problem after only 2200 miles. If I was to agree with that, what about the other one if it went bad in a few weeks or the new one went bad? How much do I need to pay in total? I could have used another shop with a much much cheaper price since it wouldn't make a difference anyway. Sam intentionally deceived me to believe the warranty was 1 year and then wanted me to pay more money on labor to put in another "universal cat. converter" that lasts around 90 days. Update: Just a few weeks later, the other catalytic converter went bad also. The manager, Sam, is a scammer who baited me on 1 year warranty on the catalytic converters verbally then switched to 90-day warranty on the receipt in writing AFTER they were already installed.
