I've been coming to Midas for a few years and they are always very open and straight forward with what I need and the cost. They have reasonable time frames and never leave me waiting for long. They also have great pricing and payment options that keeps my car right! Today I was helped by José and he was very friendly and helpful. I will continue to bring my cars here.

Anthony and his team are AMAZING! We have been here 3 times for work on 2 cars and each time they surpass expectations. They are honest, communicative, polite and professional. Dear Midas Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding my recent experience at your 8141 Ogontz Ave location in Philadelphia, PA. On Monday, November 25, 2024, I dropped off my 2019 Toyota Camry for a routine inspection and safety sticker. Despite arriving around noon, I was informed the following day that the vehicle was unable to be inspected in a timely manner. Later, I received a call around 8:30 AM stating that the vehicle had failed the inspection due to "too much play" in the struts, identified during a road test. I found this diagnosis both peculiar and troubling. Upon reviewing the Pennsylvania Vehicle Equipment and Inspection Regulations, I found no mention of "play" in the struts as a valid reason for failing an inspection. According to the regulations, the struts and suspension system should be visually inspected, and only certain conditions are grounds for a failure. I decided to inspect the vehicle myself by pushing down on both the front and rear ends of the car, and there was no unusual bouncing or movement, which further led me to believe the issue was not as described. Upon returning to the shop, I requested that they show me the "play" they referred to, and asked for documentation outlining the specific regulation that justifies failure based on "play" in the struts. They were unable to provide this information, and instead, they stated they would pass the vehicle but claimed the failure was due to a visual inspection. This inconsistency was frustrating, especially since I was presented with an estimate of over $2,000 to repair what appears to be a non-existent issue. Additionally, this is not the first time I have experienced concerns with the accuracy of diagnoses at this location. On a prior occasion, I brought my 2014 GMC Sierra to Midas for a check engine light. I was informed that the catalyst converter needed replacement at a cost exceeding $2,000. After seeking a second opinion from the dealership, it turned out that the issue was a misfiring spark plug, which was repaired for less than $200. Such costly errors are unacceptable and have resulted in unnecessary financial burdens for me as a customer. Given these repeated misdiagnoses and the overall lack of transparency and professionalism in handling my vehicle’s inspection, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be patronizing Midas for my automotive needs. As a long-time customer, I feel compelled to bring these issues to your attention in the hope that Midas will take the necessary steps to retrain its technicians and improve the quality of service provided to customers. I trust that you will look into these matters seriously, as these errors not only cost customers significantly, but also undermine the reputation of your brand

My husband and I were nervous about finding a trustworthy mechanic when we moved to the area a couple of years ago. Since then, we ONLY use the Midas team on Ogontz. My car failed emissions inspection due to streaky wipers, among other things. I got the repairs done, but I reinstalled the old wipers instead of putting on the new ones that I bought. my car failed inspection again, but this time Carlos and Jose took care of me. They let me get my new wipers and replace them and come back and pass the inspection without having to undergo another inspection and pay again. They will be getting my business there again in the future for sure 👍
