Called at 7:30 in the morning and had an appointment set up for 4pm that same day. Midas called us back and cancelled less than 2 hours before our appointment. You don't set up appointments that you can't follow through on.

Very thorough analysis of our vehicle was done after hearing a metal on metal sound. Costly repairs, but friendly staff will to offer coupons available that fit our service. I would recommend.

Great crew at this location. Fixed my vehicle in a timely manner while letting me use a loner car. I used there easypay program because I'm not rich. Very good experience would recommend to anyone to have there vehicle serviced at short pump location.

Took car to get new battery, battery was not properly installed. Took it to another mechanic who fixed the problem no charge, was even kind enough to talk to Midas manager and explain what they did incorrectly. Brad offered refund for battery which was nice. Still wouldn’t go back based on not being able to install battery.

We were headed out for a quick road trip and heard an odd sound from one of the tires. Turns out there was a large piece of metal in it! We called Midas and they got us right in. They also found a screw in a second tire. Two tires patched with great customer service in record time = 5 star review. Nice job guys.

I went here for a state inspection and an oil change last week, and a guy tried to hassle me out of $5000 of repairs that didn’t need to be fixed and forgot to put oil in my truck 😡

No push to upcharge to additional services during my last visit. Easy process to get access to a loaner car so you aren’t stuck in the waiting room all day. Always reliable and good people that are easy to work with. I’d recommend both the short pump and hull street locations.

The staff are nice and the work generally gets done same day, but the prices are off the charts. I just got my brakes and rotors replaced at a local auto shop for 700. Midas quoted my 1400 for the same job! I would go as far to say that's a complete scam. I regret having expensive work done here in the past because I'm sure I've thrown away several hundred dollars. Live and learn.

Helped me with tire services before! On one of my old tires on my Jaguar, they sound a screw in it years ago. Recently, after dropping off my Hyundai, they found no leak despite getting a low tire pressure signal once every almost two weeks. They were still a huge help.

Midas Short Pump has a nice waiting area, friendly staff, gives back to the community and offers loaner cars. Currently their labor rate is over $250 an hour and I was quoted $1,700 to replace front and rear brakes / rotors. FYI Nissan dealership quoted me $850 for same job! Midas is generally on time which is important so one has to weigh their time vs money. Obviously there is a cost to good mechanics and loaner cars but twice what a dealership charges is a no for me.

This is single handedly the best experience I have ever had with a car repair shop. They opened early to check me in before I had to start work. They replaced my battery, completed my state inspection, and replaced all repairs necessary before the day was done and I didn’t even have an appointment!! Brad was THE BEST! Request him if you can. He worked with my warranty company and gave me a courtesy car so I wasn’t stuck without a car for the day. I won’t ever go anywhere else. Fast, efficient, effective, and so pleasant to be in communication with.

They explain what the issues/problems are and how they are going to fix them - and then they do! This is my 'go to' place for all car repairs and maintenance.

So at first this shop seemed very good and professional but I was wrong. I took a 2009 Honda Accord to this shop for a state inspection. They called me later on that day to say that it would not pass due to side marker lights being out. I asked okay how much will it be to swap them out ? 30 dollars ? The receptionist stated oh no it’s going to be 110 dollars to do it for you. I told them to go ahead and reject it and I would bring it back the following day I. Which they tried to say they couldn’t get it to it and making it an inconvenience. I took the car home and swapped out lights that took me 2 mins to do. I’m all for supporting business’s but when you are scamming people 110 dollars for 6.99 bulbs that’s wrong in more ways than one. I have already started telling people to not go to Midas in short pump anymore due to the scam they are doing. Upon bringing my car back the following day I dropped it off and the gentlemen stated to me he didn’t know if they would get it done for the next couple days in which I replied I’m dropping it off and the only thing y’all have to check are the lights in which he scoffed at my rebuttal. I will not take any other vehicle to this store and will also let other people know they are taking advantage of people on simple little fixes.

These guys are amazing! They could find $4000 in necessary repairs on a brand new car with 11 miles. They must be compensated based on repairs they dream up. You can tell them have been well trained on selling and upselling.
