I really do not know what to think of Midas. We took my wife's Tucson in to see what the issue was. I believed it was the catalytic convertor was clogged but earlier that day we had the oil changed and Jiffy lube stated there was signs of water in the oil so that is why we took it to midas. We told them about the loss of power and what Jiffy Lube stated. We wanted answers. Well $2000.00 for the catalytic convertor to be replaced and to fix a donut that was leaking exhaust due to the catalytic convertor being bad. We were told it was ready and that the spark plugs should be replaced. No comment on the water in the oil. We got the car back and it would not idle correctly, It was missing bad. so we turned around and told them about it. They recommended we drive it to see how it does. Well, White smoke popped out of the exhaust which had me worrying because of what jiffy lube stated. We let them know and returned the next day to have them look at it. Well their suggestion was to replace the plugs and one coil. $500 dollars later we have the car back, told they saw no signs of water in the oil and that the car was good to go. Well it still doesn't idle good and it is still puffing out white smoke, it's a random thing that has happened 3 times since we got it back. We are not rich but it seems like Midas just tried one thing then another and just bills us for it even though it did not fix the issue. Right now I am wondering if the engine going to blow, is it ok to drive? I have no idea. Not sure if I would recommend Midas to anyone. I will add that they are polite, friendly and the fact they loaned us a car while they worked on it is an A plus. But the issue with the white smoke and the idling seem to be no problem to them since they replaced the spark plugs and told us it was "GOOD TO GO" . signed "Worried my wife will be stuck on 95 with a blown engine."

I went in for an inspection ($20), and walked out paying $144. They always upsell here. When they said I needed an air filter, I asked how much and the mechanic said it was $52, so I said fine. He didn’t make it clear that I needed two filters. I went online each filter is less than $25. So how did I end up paying $124 for filters? I should have known better. Came here years ago and they did the same thing - it’s why I don’t typically go to Midas or Goodyear. Sooooo mad about this!

Don is a lifesaver — and I mean that literally. I was convinced I had destroyed my moms one and only car fob (because of course, she only has one) and I was ready to plan my escape to a remote island rather than face her wrath. Enter Don, who swooped in like the hero of an action movie, calmly diagnosing the issue, and what felt like a split second, fixed it. I couldn’t believe it — what I thought was the end of the world (or at the least the car fob’s life) was no big deal for Don. He not only saved the day but also saved me from the “You broke my only fob” speech I had been dreading. Thanks, Don — you’re the reason I’m still my mom’s favorite child (for now)! Highly recommend him for any car related crisis or general heroism!

I rarely take the time to write reviews. However, this location recommended to me that i remove and replace my serpentine belt every 3-5,000 miles. After research at home, it came to light that this only needs to happen every 100,000 miles! Incredible! What a scam. this would have been a $200 service. Good thing I did my homework!

I'm a huge fan of Midas and have taken my cars to about 3 of the shops within the Richmond Area. During my recent visit, I brought my car to this location at Willow Lawn to be inspected. The best part of the experience was having access to a loaner car and receiving a prompted response regarding my car inspection. I was able to drop my car off and pick it up on the same day. Grateful for the pheneomenal service provided by the Midas team at the Willow Lawn location. - YB

Most friendly autoshop I’ve ever been to - so helpful and prompt. Let me bring my kids in the waiting area, which I know is annoying. Also so impressed that they let GRTC bus operators use their restroom. I’ll be back for sure.

My go-to auto service folks in the Richmond area. Prompt service, loaner vehicles available, and staff that use customer-friendly language when walking through work being done. 5/5 experiences going to this Midas location over the past 4 years or so.

I went to this place Saturday August 3 2024. With a check engine light on, they said was the canister and recommended other services to fix the issue. After $858 and one day me check engine light is on again. Not recommended. Edit: August 10,2024. I took my car back because a district manager called me during the week, she told me they let them know that I will be today. They rejected to take the car. When to other shop and they fix the issue, Different than was diagnosed on Midas.

They are fantastic! Eboni was very professional and sweet when getting paperwork and payment straight! Blake worked a miracle on my car. Aside from that, he was very understanding and explained things/ showed me evidence of things so I could make a knowledgable decision. No haggling, no pressure. Pure care and respect from the employees! I highly recommend going to this location for any of your car needs!

My son took our car here to get it State inspected. They told him we needed several items he did not need. Went and got a second opinion it needed to set wiper blades, and they actually found a problem that the original inspector did not even list. Do not take your car here.

I have taken both my vehicles there for state inspections. They are polite and not pushy. They quoted me $126 for windshield wipers! On Rockauto, the same exact ones cost $26 total with shipping.

I needed a State inspection for my ancient car. First of all, I passed!!! Secondly, Don was incredibly helpful in explaining issues that will need attention in the upcoming year. The experience was more than great and I look forward to continuing to take my car to Midas/Willow Lawn.

I normally don’t write reviews but I’m so thankful that I stopped at this Midas. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. They had my battery in stock and had it installed in no time. I didn’t have an appointment and there was hardly any wait time. I'll definitely be recommending this shop to anyone that ask!

Much needed repairs and updates needed on my aging vehicle. Easy to schedule and Midas came and got my vehicle, performed the needed updates, communicated with me regarding pricing and the time needed, and brought my vehicle back to me the same day. Impressed and appreciate the service received.

This is the sort of place that gives auto shops a bad rep. I went in for a routine brake inspection and they took it upon themselves to look at the rest of the car and told me my shocks and struts needed to be replaced. They then quoted me $5,000 to fix them. Not only were their part costs literally double what the OEM parts go for, but two other shops verified that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my shocks or struts, and that in fact, everything seemed to be working great. When I told them I got the quote from Midas, they all responded with a “I’m not surprised.” The other shops said that even if the struts and shocks did need replaced it shouldn’t cost more than about $2500 (and that’s with expensive oem parts). I will never go back here.
