Terrible experience at Midas. They charged me 3000.00 for a job that should have been 1500.00. Treating me terrible after I came back because my job was not done correctly

I was pleased with the final results. I was not pressured into anything. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The only problem was the timing. I had an appointment at 3 PM, the car was taking in at 3:30 PM and the first update that I received was at 5 PM. I need brake pads. I finally got my car at 5:50 PM. All in all I was definitely satisfied with the work and they took the car for a test run. I would recommend Midas. I just think that they needed a couple more mechanics.

Was quoted $700 for a tensioner belt replacement. I called Jack furriers which quoted me $460. I advised the staff on this and they were able to lower the price to $560 somehow. I took my business to Jack furriers and they ended up fixing it all for $236. Stay clear, and do your business with more competitively priced auto shops yall.

My new roommate walked to this store from my house when her car wouldn’t start and they been extremely kind and helpful for a little, no money getting it working or at least getting it up so that she could get it to the admission control

Went to get my transmission fluid flushed for routine maintenance and the staff has been extremely professional, courtesy and expedient. The waiting area was kept clean. The staff often kept me abreast on each phase of maintenance for my vehicle. High recommend this shop!

I always take my car to the 22 nd Street location. I feel they are honest and do not try to upsell or take advantage. They actually listen to me and take good care of my car. Chris was very nice and helpful. He got my car in immediately for an oil change on a Saturday.

I go to the midas on 22nd st. They are always super friendly. All of the staff looks happy to be there. Great energy to be in. They answer questions and don't try to sell things that are not needed. I am always in and out in under an hour. They stand by their work. Happy to have somewhere to take my cars for those last minute things. Highly recommend this location.

The team was super pleasant, but their prices are ridiculous, and the work they suggested to do was not even necessary. I didn’t know what was wrong on my 2007 Chrysler Town & Country, but my van was overheating- they charged $119 to run a pressure test to figure out my water pump was leaking. It definitely was, but I didn’t need my thermostat or upper and lower radiator hoses replaced as they suggested I did (I replaced mine anyways- photos attached of my thermostat and lower radiator hose to see that they were fine). I didn’t want to pay the $1,300 they wanted for parts and labor, so I ordered the parts and did the work myself. I bought the parts from AutoZone for around $170 (Midas wanted around $600). My hoses and thermostat had zero problems, which would have been approximately half of the cost of their estimate. My water pump was an issue. I did in 4 hours with YouTube videos to guide me what they wanted me to pay a technician $179/hour to do for 2 hours. I’m not that skilled. If I can figure it out, so can most people (with the right tools). I saved $1,100 putting my own time and research in, but you do need a toolbox and some jack stands. I was told it’s a 60% markup for parts through them, but it’s closer to a 300% markup to the AutoZone retail prices for the parts I bought (Checkout RockAuto: It’s even more affordable if you’re able to wait for your parts to ship.) The only reason I’m giving a few starts is because they were so genuinely pleasant. The manager was new, which seemed odd. They walked me through all the options I had for payment and walked me through the breakdown of why I’d be paying so much. They showed me that the pump was leaking, and I trusted them for that. But for them to automatically assume the hoses and thermostat needed to be changed was for their own revenue, not because my van needed that work down. I would still choose Midas over other auto repair shops, but maybe I just largely dislike how they profit in their industry. I’ll probably only ever take my van to a shop for engine work, inspections, and new tires.
