I've gotten my oil changed here a few times since moving back to Omaha. Twice now, I have called down to Midtown Auto to see if I could bring my car in to have them check something out, each time was last minute and for obvious reasons, they didn't have the time for any sort of in depth assessment. However, I spoke with Michael both times who was able to talk me few a couple of quick fixes and offered his thoughts on what it could be and how to go about handling it. Not only has this saved me money, but it's made me more confident in tackling some of these car projects on my own. These guys work hard, they're honest, they're funny as hell, and they're damn good at their jobs.

I had an Equinox that was quitting whenever idle, took it here to get diagnosed and they found it was my torque converter. Let me know it needed to go to a transmission specialist and suggested a shop they trusted in Council Bluffs. When I asked what I owed for the diagnostics he didn't charge me!!! Said if I can't fix it, not going to charge for it. Made my day and a stressful costly situation just a little less stressful. Not something I expected to happen when dealing with auto repairs, usually is the other way around. Will definitely not forget the kindness and recommend this shop! Got me in so quick and everyone was courteous and respectful all around.

Only place I take my cars. Team are highly skilled and certified in all things automotive. If in doubt, give them a call. Michael and his team of merry men are a blast to work with. Ladies, they don't play "games" either.

I am a fairly new customer at Midtown Auto- but I'm now definitely Team Midtown for life! Due to an unexpected glitch, the repair ended up taking ALOT more time and money than originally expected. Michael and David worked hard to get the issue resolved. When they were finished Midtown did not charge me one cent over the quoted estimate. Midtown even helped pay for the rental car I used while my vehicle was in the shop. I'm so glad I've found an auto mechanic I can trust and who will take good care of my car for years to come!

Been going here for a few years. Wanted oil change and Had a squeaking noise coming from the rear and they wanted me to spend 2000+ dollars. That’s a lot of damn money so decided to call them back and say I’m going to hold off on the repair. What do I get? Completely immature reaction, refused to do the oil change (the main reason I brought it in), refused to give me the estimate and diagnosis they already did, acted like he already disassembled my entire vehicle in the 15 min it took me to call back. To act like that to a customer you’ve known for years over 15 min of work just cause they didn’t want to spend 2000 dollars on an oil change and diagnostic is insane. Probably scammers anyway.

VERY honest guys. Took my wife's Sienna to the dealership and said the four struts need to be replaced ($1,200), brought it to Mike and there was NO leaks, and they told me I was good to go. Very hard to find honest people these days. I enjoyed chatting with Mike and the rest of his team too. Can't rate them on repairs yet, but I will be returning here in the future for all my cars due to their honesty.

Brought my car in a while back because it was making a terrible squealing noise. I told them it sounded like a belt was loose. They came back and told me I had to replace a valve gasket, patch an oil leak and replace the spark plugs. Paid over $1000 for that. Went to pick it up after hours and the squealing started immediately, like they didn't even bother to check if they had actually fixed what I had brought it in for. Decided I was never going back. Took it to a different place today and was told the oil leak was still there, the spark plugs had been installed incorrectly. To top it all off, they said the squealing was just a loose belt, like I had originally thought. These guys scammed me hard. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your automotive needs. It's a shame because I used to go here years ago and they always seemed honest, but I think management changed and now it's awful. Uspdate: called in to see if they would be willing to do anything to make it better and was chastised and called a liar. BEWARE of this place. They are fraudsters and will steal your money.

Happy to leave Mike and the guys their first review since rebranding. I've been taking my car here for almost three years, and would not even think of going anywhere else. The fact that they always take time to explain what's wrong, why it's a problem, and whether or not to fix or ignore it, really seals the deal.

I brought my vehicle there due to intermittent starting. They replaced my starter without diagnostics (approximately six hundred dollars of my invoice as they did fix my turn signal relay correctly). I was told my starter was oil soaked (and it may have been), but after it was replaced I still had the intermittent starting within a week. I called them ànd they wanted to deal with it as if I was just bringing the vehicle there for diagnosis again......no willingness at all to admit they may have fixed the wrong problem. À doctor will not remove a gallbladder when the appendix is the immediate issue and then try to say he is right because the gallbladder was suspect, too. Never take a vehicle to people unwilling to be wrong.

The guy who owns this place is the same person who owned elite auto on North 90th. His name is Michael Tiederman. They not only did bad work on both my cars they caused even more damage to my vehicles for the work that they did, and instead of being accountable and fixing the problem Mr. Tiederman has now moved to a new location and doesn’t want to take responsibility for his other business that was doing bad work and caused them to close their doors. I have contacted the BBB and he still clearly does not want to take accountability so now we will be going to court.
