Did a great job . I had to have a complete transmission rebuild in my truck. The owners Kim and Jay were extremely knowledgeable and helpful . I went to this shop after several friends recommended this shop specifically . I took my truck to them and I live more than an hour away . Kim owns and runs Mr. Transmission on Hwy 119 across from Tattersall Shopping Center. She has an amazing knowledge of car engines from being in the business her whole life. She worked with the supplemental insurance company I have a contract with to ensure my transmission claim was fully understood and paid. Please take your car to Kim if you ever have car trouble - I know I will!! She’s the most open and honest business woman/owner that I have had the oppprtunity to engage with. Thank you Kim!!

Clean shop. The work was done and done right. Replaced the brakes and rotors on our work van. Don't wait on repairs for something you use every day, so if it has to be done, bring it here. You won't be disappointed.

Great customer service. Very prompt, direct and honest with their communication and quotes. They were able to schedule me very quickly and performed the work in an extremely timely manner. Furthermore, they provided detailed documentation on the work performed, as well as the issues with the transmission which was replaced. They turned what was looking like a month or more of a headache with the dealership into less than a week. I will absolutely use this shop again for other automotive services, not just transmission work.

Great communication during the evaluation and repair process. They were able to repair a significant shift issue by resetting the transmission computer instead of replacing the transmission.

Great organization to do business with. Very responsive, very quick to finish the job and picks up the phone whenever you call to provide updates. You won’t get an automated machine! Amazing this day and age you get to talk to people when you call. I highly recommend Mr Transmission. Kim is also a five star owner, employee or manager. Great to interact with!

Had a problem with the manual transmission on my son’s 370z. We purchased a performance clutch kit and Mr.Transmission installed it for us as requested. They did a great job, finished under the expected cost, and ahead of the promised time! Would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future!

Had gotten quotes from Dealership and a 3rd party on replacing with new transmission, but wanted another option. Kim was great about quoting me replacing with a used transmission. Was extremely satisfied with the service, the status updates and the quote. Hope to not need them again, but if I do them my will be my first call.

I had an emergency situation come up with my car that needed to be dealt with right away. I called a few places, including the dealership, who was unhelpful and told me they could not service my car for weeks. I called Mr. Transmission Greystone and Kim fit me into the schedule allowing me to come in that same morning. There was no wait, they took my car right away, and quickly provided a diagnostic and recommendations for repair. The location is easy to get to, right off of HWY 280. If you need quick and helpful service, I would recommend calling Kim at Mr. Transmission Greystone.

I was stranded while traveling. This is the only shop I could find that could look at my truck the next day. All though it was late in the day Kim stayed open until I got there and then gave me a ride to a hotel. Knowing I was traveling they quickly diagnosed the problem and worked hard to get me back on the road. I hope I never get stranded on the road again but in event I do I hope it’s in Birmingham so I can call Kim at Mr. Transmission again. My experience was wonderful.

Kim and the entire team are outstanding-she was very responsive, kept me updated about what the issue was, what the options for repairing it were, as well as the timeline for the repair. I cannot recommend them highly enough-they did outstanding work in a very timely manner and the quoted price was accurate and reasonable.

Worst mechanic’s shop ever in my opinion! They attempt to repair things that they are not certified in. I have spent several hundreds of dollars there on 2 different vehicles and neither is repaired. Such a waste of time and money. Kim, the meanager, has a very sharp and condescending tongue. I will never go back there again. NEVER!!! Financial rip-off.
