Very disappointed with the work and service received. I would not bring your car here to be serviced if you can help it. Spent over a thousand dollars in services and brought my car back twice just for the issue with my AC to not be resolved. Then on top of not fixing the issue with my car, the staff was extremely rude when trying to figure out what to do with my car moving forward. Each time I brought my car back they found a new issue with the AC. A full diagnostic was requested the first time I brought in, so all of the issues should have been found that first time. If the car is still blowing hot air after you 'supposedly' fixed it, why would it get sent back to me not once but twice. My advice if you can't figure out the issue, admit your wrong and refer to someone who actually can.

This was one of the worst experiences I've had at an auto repair shop. The person who appeared to be the manager charged me $80 without installing my splash shield, claiming it was incompatible with my car. When I pointed out that he hadn't informed me of this before starting the work, he had no explanation. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. It was definitely a terrible experience.

Amazing service! Andre was super sweet, helpful m, efficient and thorough. I was kept up to date of updates throughout the whole process. All the work that was needed to be done on the car was explained to me in very good details. Highly recommend this place!

Andre at Miramar Auto Repair is a great guy and very professional. I came for a wheel alignment and AC service. Both were completed in short order at a very reasonable price. It's no wonder why they were referred to me by Discount Tire. Btw, they do much more than wheel alignments.

Great service at competitive prices. Most importantly, André the owner, is trustworthy and truly knows his way around cars. He has an exceptional level of customer service, he’s honest (which is really hard to find these days!) and he’ll tell you what’s only needed in your car. I will definitely recommend this shop to my friends and family!

I felt so fortunate found this Japanese auto specialist store, and very happy for my homework. Andre is the manager helped me for all of those repairs. He is very trustworthy, honest and patient. I asked him the problems of my car and some extras as others suggested. He answered me one by one, what were necessary; what weren’t. He even drew the pictures to make the question more easier to understand. His team did the wonderful job. I have been very grateful having Andre’s team helped me out. I've been going with these guys for over 3 years. Agree with everyone else that Andre is honest and straight talking. When I needed work that took longer than an oil change, he lent me his Toyota Prius for the day. The move to Miramar road was a good one as now you can walk to get a coffee and a bite to eat at Better Buzz coffee shop while you are waiting.

These guys do a great work at fair prices.I highly recommend them. They are not limited to Japaneses cars either. I have a Land Rover and they do an excellent job with the repairs and maintenance. They also warranty their work and honor the warranty. I trust them and that is important these days .

Andre is by far one of the best car mechanics in San Diego, especially when it comes to what customer service means in the automotive industry. His humble and honest approach in not misleading you, but telling you what the issues really are with your vehicle. There are not too many left out there with his professionalism in the industry.

Did a full inspection and oil change today. It took about an hour. The gentleman explained every on the invoice clearly and put remarks on what I have to keep an eye on before the next oil change. He also showed me how to check the power steering since I am not an expert in cars. Overall a great experience!

I came here today late afternoon, one hour before closing, to see if they could schedule an appointment for me to have my car's transmission fluid drained and refilled. To my pleasant surprise, they were able to take me in on the spot and get it done within the hour. The price was less than their competitors and their service was outstanding. Andre was patient, knowledgeable, personable, and extremely helpful. I grabbed a bite to eat while my car was worked on, then was well on my way. Grateful they didn't push me over til the next day bc I didn't want to procrastinate. Thanks guys! I'll be back.

The mechanics are very professional and kind. My tires have leaning-brind issues and did a wheel alignment there. Instead of take the money and do the alignment directly, they did the wheel inspection first and told me I should replace the suspension shock first otherwise the wheel alignment would not help, the whole inspection is free. And they are being patient with my questions. I would very much recommand taking your car here.

Very good service. I arrived only hoping to get an oil change and a tire rotation. The gentlemen behind the desk were able to give me a full inspection, and an additional order for parts, afterwards. They easily accomplished this in one visit. For customers who only require a tune up, for any used car, Miramar Auto Repair provides grade A service. Thank you.

I recently had to visit Miramar Auto Repair—Japanese Auto Plus due to issues with my 2014 Jeep Wrangler. Less than a year ago, I had the water pump, radiator, and thermostat replaced by a mechanic in Oceanside, CA. Unfortunately, the mechanic opted for cheap after-market parts which ended up causing more trouble than they solved. When these parts started acting up again, I reached out to the original mechanic, only to be met with disappointment. Despite the short timeframe since their installation, they refused to honor any warranty claims, citing an arbitrary 8-month cutoff. Feeling frustrated and with no resolution in sight, I decided to give Miramar Auto Repair a try. Not only did they efficiently diagnose the issue, but they also replaced the faulty parts with high-quality ones, ensuring a longer-lasting solution. The professionalism and expertise demonstrated by the team at Miramar Auto Repair restored my faith in auto repair services. Whatever you do, DO NOT take your car here. Absolute scam. My wife took our car here hoping to find a less expensive fix to issues that were identified at the Subaru Dealership Service department. They said the dealership was wrong, and charged a little over $3,000 to "fix" the "actual" issue. One month later the EXACT SAME indications showed up on the dash. We took the car back in, assuming they would stand by their so-called warranty... In reality they claimed the exact same indications were a "crazy coincidence" and wanted another $4,000+, but generously offered a 10% discount... Whether they misdiagnosed the original issue or are just lying to avoid standing by their warranty, now I need a new transmission and paid them $3,000 to "fix" my car for one month. Do NOT go here.

Andre and his team did an excellent job. How many times we needed a mechanic and we were concerned about the quality of the service and the integrity of the person? I have a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe with more than 102,000 miles on it. The car had a severe oil leaking and I was very concerned about the motor and was prepared for the worst. The preliminary quote to fix the problem was around $2,000 and I was expecting more than that. For my surprise, when the car was ready the repair cost was less than $700. Andre explained that after cleaning all oil leakage around the motor they could save me money not changing unnecessary parts which were functioning okay. That’s the integrity we expect from any professional. I drove from Chula Vista to Miramar to have my car fixed and I don’t regret it. I will definitely return to Japanese Car Specialist and will recommend their services. Thanks Andre and his team for being honest and not pushing to replace parts we don’t need.

I brought my 1990 300ZX to Andre and his awesome crew for a clutch problem I had from a previous shop. Not only was it fixed completely but he also explained to me what the previous shop had done wrong. I should have taken it here in the first place but going forward now my Z is running great and I am very satisfied with the services.

Incompetent. After getting the wrong pads and rotors three times over two days they gave me my car back saying "we don't know what's on your car." I took everything apart myself to find the part number printed on the back of the brake pad and stock rotors. I took my car to a mechanic so I don't have to wrench myself.
