Had a tire that my son attempted to repair with an old Walmart plug and was unsuccessful. I originally took the tire to Avery Automotive in Valley Center, but was turned away. I decided to give M&M/MTY a shot at tire repair since they were just a couple of miles south of Avery Automotive, whom I've done business with ever since Brendan bought the company from Eden's. Boy, was I impressed. M&M/MTY did not turn me away. They dismounted the tire, applied the patch, remounted the tire and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes, just $16 dollars poorer. They are now my go to business for everything tire in the Valley Center Kansas area. I was truly impressed with the service this company offered. I love to support small business, and I just found another establishment worthy of support in Valley Center, KS.

My tire saga began last week with Walmart, I ordered four tires with install. That quickly devolved into cancelled service and me being stuck with four tires I wasn’t sure where to go with. Walmart said my lugnuts were too big, interesting comment for a tire shop. Stopped by M&M on 45th (this gentleman’s brother) who said this spot could get it done. Sure enough, he made quick work of it. He was able to zip off the old ones, mounted/balanced and replaced the valve stems with higher quality metal ones. We did use some replacement lug nuts I ordered to avoid any future issues. Anyway, lesson learned… don’t go to Walmart. Go support the smaller mom and pop shops. They’ll get it done, better and quicker than anyone else. He had my tires done quicker than it took me to sit in line and drop my Rover off at Walmart, 50 minute wait despite having an appointment (yes, I’m still salty about it). I’ll definitely be back here for tire work in the future.
