Made inspection appointment online for Sunday and when I arrived was advised no inspections are conducted on Sunday and was further told that my online appointment did not show up internally. Front service worker was not helpful to reschedule nor apologetic.

- Replaced rear brakes, rotors, tires - NYS Inspection Front Desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the issue at hand. I would go back for future needs.

This is an exceptional auto repair location. The staff and management are very knowledgeable, honest and accommodating. They only fix what needs to be fixed and are very fair. I am thoroughly impressed with the service I've received here. I've been here several times and will certainly return. A++ Service!

Worst customer service ever! Short staffed and the workers were yelling on top of their lungs and swearing the whole time. Totally unprofessional! I will never take my car there again.

Well, it's the second year in a row I put in an online appointment request to have my vehicles ready for winter. I had to call them to confirm the appointment both times. It's also the second year in a row they can't accommodate both or either vehicle for service. The person that answered the phone this time said they never saw the request on the shop side. I find that hard to believe. I'm done. I'll take my money and go elsewhere.

Incredibly disappointed. Normally I use Firestone, but I thought I’d give Monroe a try since they’re closer. Took over 4 hours on a state inspection and a slew of excuses why it couldn’t be done sooner. Not to mention we took our other vehicle here recently and had a quote done for work that would total over $2500, took it to Firestone and it came to $940. They over promise and under deliver, not to mention don’t communicate well together since I was told any time before 3:30 and then was snapped at that they already had a 3:30 appointment. With Monroe it’s all time and burning piles of money, much happier at Firestone.

I’ve been using this shop for several years, but no more. The last two years that I’ve tried to get a NYS inspection performed, the “machine is down”. This year they canceled on me twice. I also spent $1,100 on brakes a year and a half ago, and they make more noise than before I had them done. I brought the vehicle back twice about the brake noise, and was told there was nothing wrong. They continue to make lots of noise…

This shop is gaining in its quality reputation - pleasant personnel, knowledgeable service techs who complete the work correctly and offer insight into further care- either necessary or recommended- and do not pressure customers to complete work there - i,.e., they don't appear to be self-serving, but customer oriented.

I'm very pleased with the work I had done on my car. I had an oil change and had my car inspection done while I waited in the customer waiting area. It was very clean, comfortable seating, television, wifi and bathroom available for use. I played games on my cellphone while I was waiting. The time went buy fast when he let me know my car was ready to go.

My car inspection was easily scheduled online for a convenient appointment. I waited for it at a local coffee shop & it was promised right on time!

Scheduled state inspection for 12pm online. Received two confirmation emails one for 12 and one for 1. Didn't think anything of it. Went in and was told there was no 12pm appointment, despite having the email to prove it. I was told that the online appointment system "doesn't know what's actually going on in the shop" aka is pointless, and that "It's Tuesday and we only have one inspector on duty today and he's working on another car" (again, despite me having scheduled an appointment that was shown to be available a week earlier). I was told that I would have to wait an hour and then that the inspection would take another hour. I only had my lunch hour to do this, so that wasn't going to work. Now, obviously the reason that a 20 minute inspection is going to take an hour is so they can go over the car with a fine toothed comb in order to find as much wrong as possible so they can't pass the inspection and force you to pay for additional work. Would not recommend. Avoid and find a local mechanic you can trust.

The two gentlemen at the counter a young man and a slightly older man have always been informative and kind. I have taken my cars to only them for 12 years and have recommended them often

Wish I could give zero stars. Made an online appointment for an inspection and oil change. Was told drop off anytime 730-1030 first come first serve. Arrived at 8am to drop off, told clerk I had an appointment, clerk told me even with an appointment they couldn’t get to my car until 1030 because they had one other employee working. He then proceeded to tell me there were many other locations and to not use the online system, because they don’t base their scheduling on it. (Why have it then?) but while waiting in line, I overheard the two guys bitching to each other about working today and how much they had to do. Meanwhile a guy walks in with no appt (assuming) drops off and thanks the guy at the counter for squeezing him in. (Favoritism much?) Not the first time this has happened at this location. Won’t be giving them any more chances.
