Life savers!! Had electrical issue in 06 jeep everyone was telling me it would take at least 2 days to resolve. Joe resolved it within 2-3 hours! Will definitely be going back! Reasonably pricing. Owner was awesome! Thank you!!!!

Great place, my car is running 😀 The owner is a good person, he came to pick me up at my apartment, and took me to the bank to get the money I owed him😁, a gentleman and a business man. I will bring my car again if I have any other problems, I hope I don't have too. I give them 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2016 GMC they gave me a price of 3700 transmission rebuild got a call a week later that he undercharged me due to the transmission being an 8 speed but he would honor price quoted 2 weeks after that he tells me my transfer case is also broken now so price just went up to 5000 3 months after finally I get the truck back he kept saying he could not find parts mind you it’s a GMC truck was shifting horribly instead of taking it back and risking another 4 months with out it I traded it in that was 5000 dollars down the drain stay away!

I dropped my welding rig off in july of 2020 to have a new transfer case installed that I had already bought and had ready for them, I asked them to look it over for anything else that needed to be done and they call me back and say the rear end needs to be rebuilt, I say go ahead and do it. He told me it may take up to 8 weeks to finish I said okay they gave me a loner vehicle that I was completely happy with. 8 Weeks comes and goes and they ha e not finished my truck. He says because of the pandemic it's taking longer than normal to get parts, I can understand that and am still being patient. I get a call a couple weeks later saying the parts came in but they're the wrong ones. I'm not from el paso, I was there for work. I told them I needed to go home to Oklahoma at the end of October and it needed to be ready, he said it would be. I needed to leave on the 31st of October they called and said I could pick it up on the 30th. I go and pick it up and leave as planned. I make it 100 miles out of el paso and the axel shift shears off and my rear end catches fire. I call them and they send a mechanic out to change my calipers because they said that was the problem!! They come out and see what the problem is and send a tow truck to take it back to the shop. That was a year and 9 days ago I don't have my welding truck which I use to make a living and now they are not answering my calls I paid them 3000 dollars to fix my truck and it's cost me over 50000 in lost wages from not having it running. I came back to Oklahoma last year and they let me use the loner truck but I get a call from the owners brother a couple weeks ago that the truck is no longer registered. The truck they gave me wasn't even theirs to give it was his brother's. It is now March of 2024 and he finally finished my truck after I had to spend 4000 dollars on a lawyer a year ago, I had to ship the truck from el paso to Oklahoma and the truck gets here and doesn't have the right key and the parking brake line is cut in half there's a brake fluid leak on one of the calipers they stole a jack I had on the truck, they stole a battery from me it's missing lug nuts somebody cigarette butts all in the floor board, they used my tool box as a rash can. DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THIS SHOP!!!!! THEY ARE CON ARTIST AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A GOOD PERSON AND NOT TRY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT!

Have a 1972 f100 automatic and needed a transmission upgrade and An AOD was suggested at Better Built transmission and was given the estimate of $2300, and was told it will take 3 weeks.. It was not even touched for the 3 weeks and taken to Montana transmission to be installed and was brought back to Better Built( same owner) and Robert called me that was ready he had tested and was good to go! Went to pick up and the truck was in second gear all the time and never shifted the cable that puts the pressure to shift was never installed...Left the truck and they took it back to Montana transmission where Danny the builder was, Alfred the owner at the end of July called me and said the transmission was shifting and just needed to be driven a few miles and bring it back for fine tunning in one week! I paid $2300 and took the truck.. Truck never change to overdrive or the the kickdown worked ..Took it back for them to fix it and the valve body was not working and was changed and drove it and was back to second gear only .. Another valve body was placed and now the governor is the problem.. I have talked to the owner and everitime get an assurance that is going to be ok.. I'm tired of waiting soon will be four months and no truck and no money! I have given them time and so many opportunities to get it working, I honestly lost all confidence in this place . Both places Montana Transmission and Better Built .

Took in my Camaro to "Better Built Transmission" to be serviced for transmission fluid leak from the torque converter. After 10 days, my vehicle was ready & as soon as I hit the road, the engine light illuminated, then began a loud rattling sound. When arriving home, the shift lever suddenly came undone and stalled the vehicle, placing it out of commission. Fortunately, I hadn't caused an accident from their lousy work! They sent a tow-truck the next day & took it to the other shop "Montana Transmission." Finally, a few days later, the vehicle was ready again. Being uncomfortable with their lousy work, I checked the transmission fluid & was overfilled with 10 quarts. According to the owners manual only 6.7 quarts are required. $1,650.00 for a leaking transmission & lousy work! Thanks a lot, "Better Built Transmission & Montana Transmission," (same owner) for putting my life, my passengers & other drivers lives in danger!!! I don't know how these two transmission shops have such good reviews. They must've somehow given themselves good reviews on their website to look like the service is good quality, but it's not!. So, be careful with these guys.

Great service! I had to replace the Clutch in my 2013 Mustang. I dropped it off Friday afternoon, I was informed I needed additional parts (flywheel, slave cylinder) so the owner told me I could use his discount at Casa Ford. I got the parts, brought it to him (I prefer to get my own parts so I have every record) on Saturday afternoon. Picked up my car on Monday at 3pm. Amazing service and super fast. Really great people work here. 5/5

One of the best if not the best shop in town to repair, rebuild or replace your transmission, for three reasons: 1) the owner and the mechanics are very knowledgeable and provide expert, professional service; 2) beyond being expert and very professional in fixing transmissions, they are excellent problem solvers and will help you find the right solution for whatever problems your car has. I brought in a 2006 Audi A6 Quattro 4.2 with what I thought was a cracked block with lots of leaks everywhere, from the oil pan to the transmission fluid, power steering fluid and engine coolant, plus an old worn out transmission. They fixed an expertly repaired every leak and even recased a used transmission I had purchased that came with a broken bell housing. I was very happy they were able to fix a car which I had given up on. They put the newer transmission into my bellhousing giving me an almost new transmission to replace my worn out 170,000 mile broken transmission. 3) Finally, and probably the best thing I I like about this shop, is that they're friendly, honest, good people. Their friendly, heloful attitude and their honest, professional work qualifies this shop to be highly recommended to anyone looking for a decent honest professional place to get their car's transmission fixed. In my case they went above and beyond the transmission to fix many other issues with the engine. Now my car drives better than it ever did before. Thank you Alejandro and team!

Very pleased with the rebuild on my Suburban. The process was very simple. I gave it about 2 months before I did the review to make sure everything was working properly. I have yet to pull a trailer with my suburban but will soon. Overall I went with Montana Transmission because of the reviews and they gave me a fair price and did a quality job with warranty. I will be coming here for all my transmission needs. Update 6 months later: took a trip across the US after the rebuild. Absolutely no issues and that was about a 3800 mile round trip. I am absolutely satisfied with work done at this business, also the owner was extremely courteous and went out his way for the customer service. I recommend this shop to anyone when I can in El Paso.
