I have absolutely no car repair knowledge so when my car started to smoke out the front end I was on a whole other level of panic. I called and Jesse was able to identify the issue and fix it same day. Absolutely FANTASTIC service and put all of my worries to ease! I woke up this morning to run some errands and my van wouldnt start. I attempted a jump to no avail. I started weighing out all my options, tow to an autozone, tow to a mechanic, pray loudly, or look for a local San Antonio area mobile mechanic. I started reading reviews of various entities and the one that had the most recent and most consistent reviews was Mr Honest. I checked his website, not much there except a phone number, which to me, is perfect. I texted the number and within 20 minutes i had a thorough reply and was told the service fee and Mr Honest scheduled me in for this evening. Fantastic communication from Mr Honest, kept me in the loop of his arrival and within an hour of his arrival, including a trip up to autozone for a new battery, my car was up and running again! An extremely reasonable fee, no upcharge on any parts, and the most adorable dogs that he brings along as his assistants! I would highly recommend Mr Honest to anyone stuck in a parking lot, stuck at home (like i was), or anyone needing a mobile mechanic for their car repair scenario. He was cheaper than a tow truck, and he saved the day for me and I believe he can also save the day for you!

If I could, would score a zero for this service. Promising 30mins waiting and then just got anger after 48mins since I said I was waiting for 40mins. And then just returned to other place directly. RUDE. Not professional. Bad attitude. Not responsible. Not suggested to connect with when meeting some emergency problems. Better call 911.

FAST, PROFESSIONAL, HONEST, FAIR PRICES. Mother traveling with children and my Tahoe wouldn’t start the day we had to travel back home 7 hour drive. Jesse arrived within 30 minutes, went straight to work on my car, found the problem and fixed it right away. He was polite, professional and honest, he even educated me on the part and if it ever happens again how to identify and be prepared. I felt confident and space taking the trip back home with my children. Highly recommend

Jesse was extremely prompt, polite, professional and fairly priced. By far the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic. All I needed was a battery replacement but he also checked my alternator to make sure it was functioning properly and it was. He did an exceptional job not only with my car but with his customer service as well.

Ran over a log that got jammed under my truck. After removing it I couldn't put my car into drive or park. I was worried thinking it was the transmission or some other big issue. All of the mechanics were closed because it was a Sunday. I called Jesse and he let me know he was 15 minutes away and sent me a very reasonable and fair quote. He fixed the problem and went above and beyond to be professional and friendly. He even helped load a large item in the truck after his repairs were complete. I hope I dont have anymore car troubles, but if I do I'll make sure to call this man and his company.

I contacted because my car was having trouble with the electronic and he was very sincere i said that he recommend me directly going to a Ford dealership because he didn't wannet to waste my money or my time. I will give this mechanic 2 stars because he does not stand behind his work and prefers to call his customer's sketchy and block them if you don't work to his unknown protocol. I called Jesse to fix a starter that went bad, he installed the part over 2 days since it started to rain during install and asked me to pay the diagnostic fee even though we both knew the part was getting replaced and nothing had been done yet. I paid him the diagnostic fee and he came back the next day to install the part while I was in the office the following day. He called me right before I was getting out of work and said he finished. I asked him if I can confirm the job by seeing the vehicle and he immediately said he felt "sketched" that I would even ask and said that I needed to pay immediately. I was thrown off by his response an paid within a minute of his decline and he proceeded to block my phone. Within a 3 weeks the car did not start again and I called him to see if he can take a look at the work. This is when I find out I am blocked by calling from another phone. I eventually ask him if/why I was blocked and he said because he was "sketched" and I was attempting to withhold payment. All I requested was to visibly see the work and once denied it was settled the bill immediately and asked wouldn't I see that issue. He wanted to charge me full price to change a new starter as he says it was installed properly or it would not have worked. I of course did not trust Mr Honest, so I called another mechanic to pay the fee to change the part and this new mechanic says the positive wire for the starter was loose and once they connected it properly it was starting up. It may or may not have been the loose wire, but Mr Honest was very unprofessional after the initial service was done. Yes, the car did work when he left but if a loose wire causes the part to fail and he denied any warranty on his work because he says, if the car is working when he leaves then it was done properly. I don't know many professions where that is 100% the case all the time. Save your self the time and call someone else if you have a tricky situation because Mr Honest's work was sub par and his customer service skills were atrocious in my experience. He justified his response by saying he asked "people" and they agreed I was being sketchy. lol I made a simple request which was denied and I paid right away. And his second opinion was I was cheap for going with a cheap part (brand new one, thanks O'reilly) but for some reason the part is still working and he says he does not care to find the root cause. And he also said he was looking forward to responding to my review, so Hi Jesse.

Ladies, as a single mom, I highly recommend Mr Honest Mobile Mechanic.He lives up to the expectationsof the company name. Us women are always weary about getting scammed, and about having a strange man come to our home for auto repair. Jesse was awesome. Called for an estimate, he had me text my location and vehicle info. Sent me back an estimate and only accepted payment after the work was completed. Once at the auto parts store, he asked for my full name for the car battery warranty. He brought back the receipt with warranty info and only charged for labor. Given that he had to drive across town, twice, in this Texas heat to replace and install my battery, the price was so worth it! Under normal circumstances, I could replace my own battery, but while recovering from surgery, I didn't have the strength to lift the battery and navigate installation in this heat. 100% recommend Jesse and his service.

I recently had Jesse, at Mr. Honest Mobile Mechanic, come to service my 2001 4Runner. Let me tell you, he was amazing! Jesse didn’t upcharge for parts and found the best and cheapest way to do things. My vehicle had run out of gas and needed a new fuel filter and possibly a fuel pump. After his thorough inspection, he notified me that the fuel pump most likely wasn’t needed, saving me a lot of money. He installed the fuel filter, and my 4Runner ran like a charm again. I’m really thankful I found him and would recommend him to anyone looking for an honest mechanic that won’t rip them off. He definitely puts the Honest in Mr. Honest. Thanks, Jesse!

Excellent customer service, professional, convenient, and he did the job in one hour when the dealership said it would take all day. Saved me over 500 dollars vs taking it to the dealership. I diagnosed the problem myself, which was easy, and bought the necessary part myself, as was my choice. Car runs great now. Would highly recommend.

Great help with my car. Jesse was very professional and had great customer service. Plus he drove to my cars location for the diagnostic, plus same day service. After the agreed price for parts and such, he went to pick up the part at autozone for me and voila my car was back to working. Excellent mechanic.

I did not purchase service from Mr. Honest as I found that my car broke down due to a simple issue. But when I inquired about a possible repair, their Customer Service and communication was A+ and I’m confident that if they are that attentive to their clients then they are one of the best to call. I figured out my problem (blown fuse) but thank you so much for the transparency and communication. In the future I know who I will call if there’s a problem I can’t figure out.

Would give more stars if I could. I was broke down in a hotel parking lot with my family. He came to me early on a Sunday morning, picked me up and took me to get parts and had us on the road headed home within a couple hours. Great customer service and great mechanic. Highly recommend

I have spoken to A LOT of mobile mechanics and Jesse was the first one that gave me peace of mind. He's a straight forward guy that told me the good news and the bad. Yes Yes and Yes! Great hourly rate, save me a ton of money helping with my starter and brake job. He also did not care that I had my own starter. Huge!!!! I will call him again next time. BTW he make it to my location same day!
