I had an appointment scheduled by the phone and I came on time. But the shop was not ready to work on my tires and it required me to leave the car for much longer than was promised by phone. I had to leave this shop as I had plans and couldn’t wait for so long. Tire shop from down the street was able to work on my tires immediately and their price was $100 less than Mr Tire.

I’d pick no stars if I could Do not and I mean DO NOT ! Ever use Monro Muffler/brakes on aramingo avenue ! My horror story began beginning of October when a “check engine light” came on. I took it to the closest spot to my job. Monro muffler on aramingo ! They read the code to be “cylinder 1 misfire”. They said they will do a tune up. I go to get my car and INSTANTLY knew something was wrong. I went in for a “check engine light” no mechanical issues…. When I drove away every light came on and car was jerking. I took it right back. That’s where it gets WONKY! The mechanic sent me across the street to buy a box of my own coils (they said they’d replace free of charge as if they were doing me a favor) meanwhile they charged me 178$ for one coil and the box of 6 was 200 (ripped me off). The car was okay for 26 days, then the engine light came back on. I took it back to the same shop because I just paid them 900$ to fix it! They told me they will giggle some stuff around and it should fix it…. (My gut said DONT LET THEM TOUCH IT AGAIN) so I called the district manager. He then directed me to a shop with “common sense” HA HA …… so then I get sent to MR.Tire on frankford ave. They said they re did everything the first shop did and that unfortunately my engine was shot and a new one is 6,000$. When I picked my car up and hopped in to drive off I noticed a piece that should’ve been under my hood was on my passenger seat. I went in and told them. They said “oh our bad” boom put it in I left. *I figured out my engine is under warranty* I take it to a REAL AUTO BODY SHOP! Schaffers Automotive LLC ! Chris gave excellent service from the phone to in person! He called me and asked if anyone was recently under the hood I explained. He said unfortunately there are slum lord mechanics just as there are slum landlords…. Basically one of the two shops left hoses in my motor unhooked after disconnecting them. They broke my EGR tube and ELECTRICAL TAPED IT BACK TOGETHER AND NEVER TOLD ME! And to top it all off there are 7 bolts to a intake manifold they snapped one so bad that it was lodged deep down in tbe part and snapped so the entire thing has to be replaced (600$ alone) !! NEITHER SHOP WAS FORTHCOMING WITH THE DAMAGES THEY CAUSED ! & APPARENTLY NOW THE DOSTRICT MANAGER CANT HEAR HIS PHONE RINGING. Claim was submitted. This will be rectified BUT TO BE CLEAR AVOID MONRO MUFFLER ON ARAMINGO AND MR TIRE ON FRANKFORD AVE IF YOU APPRECIATE THE OPERATING QUALITY OF YOUR CAR! They are scammers for one and should not be in the field they’re in.

Eles simplesmente esqueceram de apertar os parafusos da roda do meu carro e eu saí pelas ruas perdendo os parafusos e minha roda quase caiu. Quando me dei conta só tinha dois parafusos e eu estava a 45 milhas de velocidade. E se tivesse acontecido um acidente comigo? Esses caras são muito maus profissionais. Tive um gasto extra de $80 em guincho e $125 de mecânico pra reparar o erro deles. Nunca mais apareço lá na oficina deles.

I am trying to reach a supervisor at the corporate office for Mr. Tire regarding my experience at the location at 6740 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19135. I visited this location on 9/19/24 because I had a flat tire. The location opening hours were listed for 7:30 am. When I arrived, it was 7:20 am. By 7:40 am the location was still not open. Since I was running late for work, I had attempted to put on my spare tire. I loosened my lug nuts and began to jack up my car. At 7:50 am I noticed workers entering the location and decided to have Mr. Tire assess the flat, so that I would not be driving on a spare. Upon entering the location I met manager Brian Boyce. I notified him that I had attempted to put on my spare and had loosened the lug nuts. I gave him my wheel lock. After 15 minutes, I was given my key and wheel lock and paid for a plug. Traveling to work, on Interstate 95 to center city Philadelphia, I heard some banging and wobbling and assumed my tire was flat again. I parked my car at work and looked at the tire and noticed I only had one lug nut remaining on the tire and heard air escaping at a rapid rate. When I called the location to vocalize the issue I spoke with manager Brian Boyce. Who then stated, "we did not touch your lug nuts or remove the tire. We plugged the tire with it on the car". I then reminded him that I notified him of what I did before having service conducted. He then said, "Well if you can get the car back to the location we can replace your lugs nuts". I explained I had driven to work and how am I expected to return on only one lug nut? Mr. Boyce was very arrogant and condescending about my experience due to their negligence. I called the corporate customer service line and spoke to Rex. Rex stated that Mr. Boyce would pay 'out-of-pocket' for a tow from my work back to his Mr. Tire location. I stated I was not interested since I am not confident at the workmanship and/or the business practice conducted at this location. I then requested to speak to a supervisor. I was kept on hold for over and hour and eventually was told I'd be given a call back from a Theresa Griffin. I have never received a call back. I called customer service twice this morning (9/20) and was kept on hold for 40 minutes then was hung up on. I took my car to a tire location close to my work. They informed me that my tire should have never been plugged to begin with and that the nail was in the sidewall of my tire. They also explained that it was very unsafe to drive on a tire with a patch like that. Not only did this location not attach my wheel back to my vehicle they patched a tire that needed to be replaced. My life was put in jeopardy from the complete negligence of the employees that work at this location and the company does not seem to care about my concern or feedback. Do Not Patronize this location! I would give ZERO stars if google reviews allowed.

Quick service nice people even when my fob battery died they showed me how to turn it on so the car can detect the key. Literally stopped what they were doing and came right over my kind of guys

Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and importantly - honest. They have been there for years and provide great service at a reasonable price. Our go to place for any of our vehicle service needs and will definitely refer family and friends. It is difficult to find reliable honest mechanics-search no further; this is the place. We’ve been there a couple times and they now have loyal customer.

I had a great first experience at Mr. Tire!!! I made an appointment at 2:30pm on a Saturday for 4:00pm on that same Saturday! They got me in quick and were done in 42 minutes! The shop is clean and office is air conditioned. The price was super fair as well. That said, I think they source out their customer service/appointment setters because the woman I set the appointment with gave me incorrect prices and couldn’t answer any most of my questions. Otherwise, great experience!!

Ahhh man I hate leaving poor reviews but I can’t let this one slip. I took my car in to have someone look at my brakes. They told me both front and back brakes/rotors needed replaced, didn’t seem correct as the last time I was there they told me my back brakes were brand new and had just been done. I was hesitant but asked for the cost for all of that and they said over $1,200. I said I can’t pay that much and which they said they could make it $1,000. I told them I had to think on it as I only drive a car not a SUV and that seemed like a lot of money for only a car. As I left I called my brother who is a mechanic but unfortunately I live far from him to do my car and he convinced me to come drive down to him so he could take a look and he said my there is not one thing wrong with my brakes or rotors and that I could go another 8-10 months before needed to check them again. The one thing my brother did say was I needed new oil… Mr. Tire said my oil was fine. Everyone who works there is so so so nice but unfortunately after that experience I can’t ever go back which stinks because I thought I found a trust worthy shop finally.

My front passenger tire on my Bimmer got absolutely destroyed the other day due to road work on Harbison. Came in to Mr Tire and was greeted by Levi. First of all he’s a great guy! He ordered my tire, I had to jump through hoops with BMW to get the proper lugnut key for my car, and for all my trouble they didn’t charge me labor. Amazing customer service! Shout out to Levi and the team over at Mr. Tire!

Been coming to Mr. Tire since they were Mayfair tire. The name has changed, and Ron isn't there anymore, but Levi is. And he's running the shop great. I'm glad I stayed cause I still never have to come back about a problem, they fix my car the right way every time and I appreciate that. They're honest mechanics and decent on the pricing. Their friendly when you come in, and always call you before any work is done to your car so there's no surprises on the bill. It's why I've been coming here for just about 20 years now. Highly recommend them for your regular mechanic any day!

My daughter and I are very satisfied with Mr. Tire. From ease of scheduling, very friendly and professional service, to of course high quality Auto care. Levi and the whole crew are just fabulous. I love how they always check your tire pressure regardless of why you are there, and your spare. Prices are good and we always feel confident driving away. Great neighborhood feels! Called the number and scheduled an appt to plug a tire. Simple process. Arrived on-time, only to get told that the scheduling service doesn't communicate with the shop to see if they have enough guys, and they are booked til close. They looked super busy too (sarcasm intented). Went to Mavis Tires down the street as a walk-in and they were super accommodating, and very nice.

Do not ever go here ! Me and my girlfriend left her car here the other day & they tired to charged 900$ for one side front brakes & then we went to get the car the next day it was broke into & there was electrical tape all over the front and side of the car ! This place should be ashamed ! And Joe at the front desk is so ignorant they deserve to be closed down ! Seriously it’s so sad.

I took my company vehicle in in Feb.22 to be inspected. The worker at the front desk was unprofessional from the time I drop the van off. When it was time for payment I explained to him that he would have to call Fleet for payment. He refused and I had no idea why. I even called my manager to explain what was going on and he also told me,the worker have to call feller for payment. Because I was tired from work and frustrated with what was going on I went bank home and called Fleet to tell them what happend . I then had to walk back to Mr Tire with fleet on the phone and put the worker on a 3 way call where he was forced to take payment over the phone. I spoke to my manager the next day and told him everything. We are now considering to take Mr Tire off for service due to what happened. I am a customer. That encourage me to never again get service from the Mr Tire on Frankford ave, Philadelphia

I’ve been using Mayfair tire/Mr Tire for 25+ years and with three vehicles currently. I called to make an appointment and found out that now they’re using some answering service to make appointments. They had no idea who I was, what vehicles I had, I’m no longer going to use them as my mechanic and now I’m shopping for a new one. Very disappointed.

My transmission needed to replaced and Levi recommended Aamco which was a horrible recommendation.. Levi is the manager at Mr Tires and I thought he could be trusted when giving out recommendations, I was wrong in thinking I could trust Levi. Will not be going back to Mr Tires. And his recommendation for Aamco was a waste of my money and time

This place used to be good, back when the old crew were running the place. New people now run the shop and they're not good. They like to upsell on things your vehicle doesn't need and when confronted about it, they get rude. I know their hustle. Please reconsider before shopping or doing service here. Such a shame that a once excellent spot to get tire service has gone down the toilet.
