On 1/16/2025, I brought my car for an oil change which included a tire rotation change. They did not rotate the tires. They refilled the windshield wiper fluid but caused a leak. It is questionable if they actually change my oil or filter. I will contact the service manager. This is unfortunate because this business received good ratings, and why I decided to try them out. I never take the time to post. Please be weary. I hope the service manager is sincere about keeping a good and trustworthy business relationship.

Beware! When I initially found Natomas Auto Care a couple of years ago, I was thrilled to find a local, affordable, auto care shop I thought I could trust, but the last few visits have been sub-par. In March 2024, routine oil change - sounds simple enough - after picking up my car, within a few minutes of driving away I could smell something burning and my car began smoking under the hood so bad I could not see. I pulled over and call the shop. Apparently, the technician spilled oil all over my engine, but thought he "got it all" - he didn't. I had to take the car back to the shop to have the engine cleaned - which took an extra 90 minutes of my day, resulting in me having to cancel my dinner plans I had that evening. They offered a free oil change on my next visit for the inconvenience. Great! In November 2024, another routine oil change (my freebie), They call to say I need air filters changed - seems like an easy swap since they already had access to them. I'm expecting to pay for the filters ($40-50 - no problem), but to my surprise, in addition to the filters they charged $72.50 for a half-hour of "labor". Total bill for the "free" oil change was $115. Okay, I get it - they're a business, so I pay the bill and don't say a word. Fast forward to 1-2 days after picking up my car, I spell something burning again, (never had this issue prior to when they spilled oil on the engine) - there's no smoke, so I think they must have spilled a small amount of oil again and it'll burn off. I work from home and don't drive my car daily, and when I do it's usually short distances (5 minutes to the local grocery store, etc.) The next few times I drive more than 10-15 minutes, I notice the same burring small. I have someone else check my car's oil level, and I'm down 3 quarts of oil - and I don't have any oil leaks. We put more oil in and now the small is gone. I believe they shorted me on oil (maybe spilled again and cleaned up but didn't fill my oil). They've lost my trust and I won't be going back.

Smog Check: Close to my home in North Natomas, quick service, lowest price of every place I checked, and extra credit for being one of the few places open on Saturday...an extra bonus for those of us who work full time during the week.

They were very helpful in identifying my oil leak and quickly fixed it. The seeming manager was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and even waived my diagnostic fee. I would give them more stars if I could and highly recommend!!!

We were headed on a trip and as we came through Sacramento our check engine light came on. The front office gal was very helpful when we called ahead and when we got there. Then the mechanic that helped us was wonderful too. There shop is tucked back away from the freeway but worth the extra 5 minutes, they were wonderful and we were back on the road quickly.

I have an older model Nissan Xterra and just got my car back today. I am so pleased with their service. They found quite a few things that should/could be addressed (because it’s a 2001) other than what I brought it in for. So thorough. Carol, the young woman that runs the front service office, called me and walked me through everything. The estimate was all broken down so I could prioritize what I would get fixed and what to hold off on. So, not only did they tune up and fix a break switch for me they helped to keep my car sustained with some other fixes for years to come. The prices were very reasonable and I got a lot done. I can’t thank Carol enough for her communication and professionalism, for even calling me with a $30 difference in the bill to get approved. I trust this location and I plan to bring our other cars there as well now. Thank you Natomas Auto Care.

I took my car here to get inspected for a possible suspension failure told by another shop and the nice lady at the front let me know that nothing is wrong and I won’t be charged for the inspection! Honesty is a stellar point and I plan to become a loyal customer here soon with my car check ups.

SCAMMERS!!! While in the waiting area, the workers told MULTIPLE customers that the "part" they needed to fix the issue would cost up to $200 more than they originally quoted them. They would give customers no choice but to pay the price they didn't even inform them about. Then... they did the same thing to me (asked for $400)! I ended up taking my car somewhere else....and it turns out it was just a loose piece in my car that needed to be tightened at no cost! This shop got new owners recently... so do NOT trust all the good reviews. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Took my car back to them because when they replaced my brake pads back in July the brakes never stopped squeaking. Unfortunately I had to go months like this because my schedule wouldn’t allow me to bring it back sooner. When they did they work on the brake pads, they also replaced my air filter…that has also gone bad again since July. After they finished all the work I get a call asking if the service lights on my dash board have always been on; I told them only the tire pressure one was on when I dropped it off. I was then told on the lights came on during the test drive and they have no idea why, so they need to figure out what caused it. I was called a couple hours later saying they needed to keep the car overnight so they could work on it in the morning and get the issue figured out. After not hearing back from them all day today, I called and they said their master tech is out on his day off and none of the other techs can figure out what’s wrong, so they have to keep my car ANOTHER day. And now they are offering a free diagnostic to see what’s wrong and IF they find out the lights are messed up because of their work, they will reimburse me for a rental if I have to get one.

(This few years ago) one car light bulb was out and got there late. They still accommodate me and changed the bulb for me with good rate. Great customer service and worker!! 1/2023 - Did not fix my car problem even though mechanic told me it is fine to drive- will not drain battery etc. They just put down on paper what I told them was maybe the problem and will not take responsibility. They replace one part. When I asked for some refund ( battery drain very soon)from the owner, she said the mechanic did not told me it is fine to drive and did not compensate me. Will not go there again

Charged me $156 for a thermostat replacement plus parts and labor. At another shop Quality Auto Care $450. Love this place my new shop to go to. My 09 Honda is purring again!

Horrible rip off, I had to pay $140 for then to tell me they don't fix my issues, and $350 to fix 2 door locks, then called me back 20 minutes later to tell me they made a mistake and the 2 door locks would cost me $470, I told them No way , so they charged me $140 for looking at my vehicle and did no work on it! A total waste of my time and $140 of my money ! Beware this small unprofessional shop, in a nice location!

I confirmed with them TWICE if they do emissions testing before my appt and even when I got there they said yes. Like about 45 mins later when they finished my "car inspection" the girl at the front desk said they don't do the rest of the out-of-state inspection form thing like checking the emissions and whatever the form said but the total still ended up being $145. I have to go somewhere else to get the SMOG test (it's what's she said) done. I'm like I gotta pay another $145 somewhere else is ABSURD!

The level of service here is pretty terrible. I took my car in twice to get my air conditioning fixed, and twice it stopped working soon after they "fixed" it. While it was in the shop no one called me with updates, and I have to call them after multiple days to get an update on my car. I've spent about $800 and I still don't have air conditioning.

Was 140 for them to "look" at my car and send me somewhere else. It took them all of 30 min and they didn't even reset the low tire pressure sensor on my civics dash. Bummer dude

Went for an oil change - service was quick, reliable, and reasonably priced, and staff were friendly and professional. I will be back for future auto care.
