I'm glad I tried Newman's Automotive. The customer service was excellent; relaxed and honest, I didn't feel pressured into additional services. They were good with explanations and follow up. I've been looking for a regular garage for maintenance and repairs. I think I have found one. Happy with the service.

Frederick was awesome, love the shop. Price was competitive and their service was very personalized. They gave suggestions and I got a printout of quotes and could choose the work I wanted to have done (front shocks on my jeep). Great folks there. Love the aquarium in the lobby and the best 'hatchback' popcorn I've ever had. Thanks, guys.

The friendliest,most honest mechanics in Austin. Another mechanic told me I needed anew transmission. They said no, your fluid is just low. Plus all the other work they did comes with a 36 mont/36,000 miles warranty. Oh,and they gave me a loaner car

My go to shop for the past two years. I've had oil changes (at half what the dealership charges), tire rotations, and had a cooling issue repaired. Nice people who do great work at fair prices- support this local shop!

Appointment process super convenient. Everyone in the shop was friendly and professional. It was clean and had a nice waiting area. I got the service I needed and additional (super helpful) information about my car. I will definitely be a return customer. And....Linus iced the cake! What a sweet heart.

Took my car to autozone and advanced auto parts. They told me battery was good so I thought it was the starter or alternator failing. The team confirmed the battery was the problem. They diagnosed the car at no cost and called me the following day after it was serviced to make sure the car was running correctly for me. 10/10 great service!!

A couple red flags here: 1. A few weeks after my oil change at Newman’s Automotive I noticed oil on my driveway. After having it looked at, it was discovered that the oil plug had not been fully tightened after the oil change, causing the leak. I have had no other work done to my car since the oil change at Newman’s, so I know the mechanics here are responsible. 2. After my oil change, the manager informed me that there were some other problems with the car. My 4-wheel drive system needed service, which he offered to do for $500. The only problem here is my car does not have 4-wheel drive, so I’m not sure how the mechanics determined that it was in need of service.

Everyone at this shop was knowledgeable, friendly, fast, helpful— can’t say enough good things. Brought my car in at 7am for a brake repair and replacement, and it was ready to go by 5pm that same day. Edited to Add: Had a second experience and it was just as good! The diagnostic was efficient and timely, the staff were helpful, and everything was top notch from beginning to end!

Fredrick and Mechanic Luis were top class. Fredrick is a great host, Patient and understanding. I appreciate that Newman’s gave the time for me to explain all I need to mechanic Luis directly. The very next day Luis pin point the problem and the car was on the road running perfect, after a whole week of serious struggle between multiple mechanics trying to find out the problem. I definitely recommend Newman’s since they were transparent, I didn’t feel for a second that they’re trying to take advantage like the other places. They did a free pinpoint diagnosis and gave me an estimate. However I only wish they were just a little more affordable but they earned it, I would go to Newman’s again they my trusted shop now.

Great customer service I didnt have a ride home and they called me a lyft to get home free of charge they didnt add it on my bill for anything else either so these people sre very upstanding people.

Greeted with great customer service. Really made sure to figure out what was wrong with my car so I could take it safely with me for my roadtrip. They got me Lyft rides which was very generous of them. I would definitely recommend and come back in the future!

I brought my car in with all sorts of issues and they let me know which ones were most important and told me which ones needed to be fixed right away. They kept my car for two nights but let me barrow a loaner vehicle. Overall a very good experience

I love the detail of explanation providing pictures of my actual vehicle and videos explaining the problem and how it equates to safety. Newman’s also provided me with a loaner car while work was extended due to new complications being found. Can’t ask for a more thorough mechanic that’s willing to go the extra mile
