I have been a returning customer for years because of the quick, reliable, economical, and maybe most importantly, honest service my family receives there.

Bought an 04 prius last year from “Hank”. Since purchase it was mostly hassle. For a rebuild that was rebuilt in a shop that replaces old batteries I was quite disappointed to discover recently my hybrid battery is dying. Needs either full replacement or a few new cells. I feel this should’ve been already addressed during the whole rebuild period. When I first bought it, hardly any care was given to detailing. It’s like they took it to red carpet and got the cheapest wash. The radio only picks up one station. When summer came the ac wasn’t working. Hank explained that it needed more freon. When that didn’t work he said it was the computer. The driver’s side still blows out warmer than the passenger. For this I was charged. Then one of the tires blew. Off the wheel. Tow truck company completely messed up my fenders and the undercarriage. I took it to Hank for fixing. They got primer on one of my new tires and there are visible paint running lines where they patched and did not replace those panels. Worst of all. Hank hides behind a contrived personality. Appears friendly but is really just trying to make some cash. My car’s a hot mess. Hank assured me it would not be. I’m extremely disappointed and heavily do not recommend this shop.

Called on a Wednesday and got voicemail. I left a brief message including year make and model of my car along with my contract information. Never got a call back. If a business doesn't answer the phone or return calls it tells me customer service needs work.

I took my Audi for brakes. Garrett is was really accommodating and got my brakes done in almost half a day and in a very reasonable price. He even replaced my lug nut cap free. I'll definitely go there for any car problems in the future.

I have been taking my 2004 Toyota Sequoia, and now 2003 Toyota Tacoma to Garrett for about a year now. Garrett has been honest and straightforward about pricing and recommendations for repairs on both vehicles. I will continue to take my vehicles there and recommend them to others as well.

This review is long, but it needed telling, because it is not worth it to anyone who wants a reliable vehicle and honest mechanic. When I moved in October 2013, I needed cheap, reliable wheels and fast. My new landlady (a real doll if you ask me) suggested I go to Nishimoto Auto Clinic and talk to Hank. Hank arranged a 2001 Prius (salvaged) for $4000, just about all the money I had in the world, and I was ecstatic about it. I had never had a car like this, and when it comes to fuel efficiency and drivability, I was hooked. I had the car for about a year, with only one issue, which was promptly taken care of by Hank. Then October of 2014, disaster. My car dies while traveling down the I-5 to Anaheim. I had not checked the oil before I took the trip, and it busted something in there! My first mistake was letting a guy in Lebec who "didn't know much about Prius'" charge me $2,800 to play "which problem is it" and lose. I got a new motor sloppily installed, then had the car towed all the way back to Hank two weeks later. Hank had me come in to explain what was wrong: the new motor being put in by a four year old for one, the transmission making a metallic clanking sound, and the car's electric sensors coming back with ERROR messages on the diagnostic computer. He also told me that the car drove, but at 35 MPH it would die again. All this sounded like a lot of money, which I did not have. I asked for his suggestion and we agreed to try to auction the car, through him. That was my second mistake. For about 3 weeks, I completely trusted Hank in saying the car was at the auction site, and every Thursday of those weeks he would tell me "well this bid was too low (or lower than I hoped) and we should try for another week." I finally told him on week three that this would be the last time we would auction is, because I was concerned about any fees I would be accruing with the auction site would offset any gains from the sale. The next day, I saw my car, driving at least 45mph, out on Palm and Shaw, and not being driven by Hank. I called him, texted him, asking him what was going on. I am about to prove how car-stupid I am, by telling you all that I believed it when he said he was having a mechanic at the auction site try to do some repairs to make the car more sell-able. My partner, however, smelled a power scent of horse excrement in the air, and told his family of the situation. We also told our landlady, and she confided in us that she too was having difficulties with Hank with her car, her sister's car, and found out the "loaner" cars he uses were actually other peoples vehicles that he was working on. That fact floored me, and I began to get worried I was advised to call the police, but instead I called the auction house because I wanted to believe SO BADLY that I was not being screwed around with. I also told Hank that I wanted the car back and I would pay any fees from the auction site for his trouble. Suddenly, a final bid came in from Hank that was the first offer made at the beginning of this fiasco. My heart dropped into my stomach. I asked the auction site if they let their mechanics test drive their bids off lot, and they responded with a resounding, "HECK NO". That was when I finally woke up and smelled what everyone else was smelling. Finally reaching Hank, he admitted that he had sold my car without my knowledge, consent, or the signature on my pink slip. I repeat, he sold my car and forged my signature on my pink slip, and then pretended for three weeks that the car was at auction. I was furious, and felt completely betrayed. I told Hank that I wanted the car back and at another, more reputable shop of my choosing, or there would be hell to pay. Luckily for him he was able to comply. It pains me that I have to write this review. Hank seems like such a nice guy, and I truly believed and trusted in him. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY.
