I never leave reviews but feel this was extremely warranted. I went to this dealership, where I have had my car serviced in the past, to have my front two tires replaced (as recommended by them). They informed me it would take about 2-2.5 hours to complete, and ended up taking over 4 hours. Based on the looks of it, they were not busy at all. There was one car in front of me when I dropped it off and none in line when they notified me the service was complete. When I got on the freeway to return home I realized the hood of my car was shaking, indicating that they had opened my hood during the tire replacement (which makes no sense since you do not need to open the hood in order to do so) and forgot to close it completely before returning the car to me. Luckily I noticed quickly and pulled over to close the hood in order to prevent it from flying open while driving on a traffic filled freeway. If I had not noticed, and the hood opened, it would have caused serious injury to myself and other drivers. This dealership needs to pay closer attention and take better care of its customers.

Service is TERRIBLE BY LUIS MARQUEZ! My vehicle was not inspected for what it was brought in for. My sensor has been loose and I had to brought it in for repair, mind you the sensor was attached on my car upon arrival . After leaving my first appointment the sensor fell off completely and along went a second sensor! (Check pictures) My car was there for over 10 hours and they went as little was even checking tire gages, the air pressure was low when I left; completely disgusting with the customer service Luis and Larry the manager provided. A COMPLETE DISGRACE TO TOYOTA. Save yourself the headache and take your vehicle else where! My car is New 2023 and has NEVER been in any accident. Still under warranty Though this dealer claims it has been with aftermarket repair. They declined that that issue was their fault and did nothing for hours. LAZY AND POOR ATTITUDE!

I been driving my 2004 Tacoma since it was passed down to me from my parents after 20 years of driving it and using it and enjoying it was time for a update and change let the old go and bring in a new memory, I was looking around places, and couldn't find what I want but out of curiosity I checked out norm Reves Toyota and I found what I been looking for it's a beautiful 2024 Tacoma Trd package I meet with Arthur one of the employees thier he took me under his wing and just made me feel like family and one of thier won gave me a such a great deal I couldn't say no at all, and best part he took my 2004 Tacoma in as a trade in! At the end I have nothing to say but great thing about this dealer and Arthur for helping me out I will definitely recommend this place to all friends and family members

I made an appointment for an oil change. Despite arriving about 15 minutes early, I waited in a long line for over 30 minutes. Once I finally reached the service line, I was rudely informed that my "reservation" (which I had called days prior and scheduled an appointment) would take over two hours to complete. It's incredibly frustrating to be misled and disrespected as a customer. This experience has left me feeling undervalued and disappointed. I will certainly not be returning to this location and will advise my friends, family, and colleagues to avoid it as well. Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego should prioritize customer satisfaction and accurate scheduling to avoid such inconveniences.

I stuffed by the office to inquire about preowned vacant for sale and ask them if they had a list the three guys behind the counter in the office with chatting and I obviously interrupted the private conversation. They said if I want to know what car they have I can go online. I have never seen such a bad customer service ever in my entire lifein the car section

Saw 2 online coupons for a Transmission "drain & fill" or "full flush". I've worked on cars plenty of times & know how things go but walked in pretending I'm a first timer. I decided to do a "full flush" @ a higher cost than the latter option & was given the advisor by the name of Stephen Shapley (skinny white guy, 2019). When speaking to him I purposely double-checked the difference between these 2 transmission services/coupons to make sure I "😉" know what I'm paying for. Long story short; I watched the mechanic & confirmed that a simple drain & fill was done, not my specified "full flush" that I'm paying for. Upon conclusion, I'm assuming Stephens' final quote will be for the smaller priced service as it appears there was a mistake but nope, hands me the paperwork for the price of a flush instead, great!🫤 Anyways, my real persona comes out & I inform him of the news, they then attempt to fix the situation by taking the vehicle out of my range of view & "claiming" they've done the flush this time. Sneaky or possibly just a 1-time mistake is my question? "w/how you people are out here in CA, I lean towards sneaky👎"

Very bad experience, made an appointment for 10am on Saturday for an oil change showed up 10 minutes early just to me made to sit in my car for over 30 minutes before taking to service agent that then told me it would be another 2.5 hour wait. Why schedule so many people for the same time? This dealership doesn't care about its customer's time

Yeah 6 hours for a standard service maintenance is just not an acceptable time frame for checking my tires and air filters. Not only that, after waiting 6 hours and coming back to the dealership expecting my car to finally be done I’m told they are now working on the tire rotation and it’ll just be another 15 min. HAHAHAHA what a massive joke. They didn’t even start the job until I showed up after having it dropped off. Honestly so unprofessional. It’s a huge bummer because this place is really close to where I live but I will never be returning here. This is also not a one time thing. I’m sitting in this waiting room listening to all the front office apologize for delayed maintenance appointments to other customers. If they weren’t forgetting my car due to having to service others what are they really doing back there? What is this place?? I’m not kidding another person just walked in saying he’s been waiting for 8 hours! Insane stuff, I feel bad for this front office.

I am writing this review for all customers that use services and maintenance at norm reeves Toyota of San Diego by mission gorge. Please Check your vehicle before you drive it off the lot and don’t be a victim like me . I dropped my 2024 grand Highlander few weeks ago to program my second key that just arrived at the dealership afternoon and after it’s done . I Left the lot and noticed my dashboard giving signal and beeping like there is an object close to my brand new suv. All that came to my mind that who ever done the programming set my sensor on high level of sensitivity. I went back to the dealer the next day around 8am and asked the service employee if he or someone can set the sensitivity to lower level since the car getting little annoying. Service personnel checked the dashboard and told me it’s coming from the front passenger side bumper sensor. Then he went to look at the bumper then called me to show me that the car had been hit from the front, some scratches on the bumper and the sensor missing, most likely got pushed back. I asked for the recording of the car when I dropped it for service, he showed it me and both sow the sensor was in place with no damage. Then I told him the issue started as soon as I drove of after service. Long story short I asked for a recording for the time of the car been serviced, they agreed after few weeks to show me one camera way far from my car, barley can see it, parked away after finishing service and showing only the top and some of the back. I said what is this, the answer was sorry the recording for the cameras that closer to the car is not available any more. How this is possible I asked, if the system can show one camera can show all. At this point I smiled and left the dealership, it’s obviously there is a dishonest person decided to decline responsibility for the sake money or not to loose barley money.

I had a great experience with the sales and finance departments. Obed from the sales team was very informative and provided a relaxed shopping experience with no pressure. Luis from the finance department was very thorough in explaining the contract terms. I hope the service department provides the same level of service when the time comes. It seems like they are running a streamlined operation here. Keep up the good work!

Just look at the reviews on the service department. I should have checked before going in. Simona T was very rude and not honest on why they were up charging me from 46.39$ listed on my booked appointment for a 5 K mile service to 180$. Simona T initially said the website is wrong and it was because of the included tire rotation then the manager walked over and explained it was because of the oil change. I asked for what was listed on my booked appointment to be done only. Simona T either misspoke or lied about what the additional cost would be and wasn’t helpful in explaining why I booked for one cost and they were charging a different price in person, she left and said “I need to go on my lunch”. Manager(Lary G)came over and mentioned they would do the tire rotation as it was apart of what I booked online but knowing my back tires were older and different from my front tires it does not appear they rotated them despite what they said.. I’m disappointed with the lack of professionalism and lies from the service department.

My 2022 RAV4 was in a hit and run, I was looking for an exact replacement when I mistakenly put my info into a website that sent it out to every toyota dealer in SD. I didn't have the confirmation of my vehicle being totaled yet and other dealerships gave up on contacting me for a sale, except Charlie Sears. Some people may have found it annoying but as a person who has worked sales, he clearly came off as a dedicated salesman. He was able to find and get me into a new 2024 RAV4 XSE that was almost exactly like my 2022. He was patient and understanding while we waited on the insurance payment. I also mentioned I wanted to get rid of my second car and he was able to take it for me without leaving me upside down. Everyone at the dealership was very welcoming and able to actually be humans and not sales robots. I felt so comfortable while finally completing my sale for my new baby. I already told Muaz (Sales Manager) that Charlie deserves a raise and a gift card for at least $500. And a pizza party... only if he wants it lol. Again THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Charlie for helping me make my life whole again and getting me back into a RAV.

Probably the most pushy sales people I’ve seen. I told them I wanted to take some time to think about leasing a vehicle, and they were incredibly pushy. When I told them I was not going to sign anything today, the salesman was visibly upset, made the whole experience uncomfortable. I will shop elsewhere.

IF I can give zero star I would give but this will do -- 1 star. Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego is the worst Toyota location you can go to for service maintenance. I had a maintenance service appointment but it took them 5 HOURS to do it. What kind of service were they doing on my car? I've been to different Toyota dealership for maintenance service but Norm Reeves Toyota is the worst Toyota dealership I've been to. John Bautista, the service person assigned to keep me updated about my car didn't communicate with me at all. He texted me his phone number and I reached out to him to get updates, NO RESPONSE. You need to hire more people to get the job done in an hour or 2 (NOT 5 HOURS) for maintenance service and DO NOT overbook your schedule.

Notice all the bad reviews just from the last 6-8 months. Something happened with the location to where their turned really sketchy. I took my gf's new car in for her to get the free service done. The service people in the back must have thought it was her who brought it in and didn't know it was me, an actual technician that fixes cars. They sent a blurry image of a cabin air filter claiming it needed to be changed for $75. I told them no. When I got home the filter was clean, and didn't need to be changed. Both sides were the same. They claimed I had an "unrepairable hole" in a tire so they didn't perform my tire rotations. They wanted to sell me a new tire for $500+. There was no problems with any tires losing air before I went in there. Two weeks later the tire went flat and I discovered some really suspicious cuts in the side wall. 20+ years of owning cars and I've never had this happen. I suspect them.
