Made modifications and installed parts without my permission. Took 3 hours to change the oil and I had an appointment. Completely unsatisfactory. Avoid at all cost.

Had a great experience when I took my truck in for service last Friday. My service advisor Edward Perez was very helpful on what service was recommended for my truck with the budget I had. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking to get your vehicle serviced at North Park Toyota.

Great service and even gave us a ride home. Eric our service advisor was on it and understood.

You’re better off going somewhere else unless you wanna wait 2 hours with an appointment. I went for them to inspect my tire because it was bad. Took almost 3 hours just for them to patch the tire with the warranty I have. I made an appointment too. I only went here because my tires have warranty. I always get oil changes and other maintenance done elsewhere. Poor communication

I avoid going to the service department because the staff are incompetent. There is some shady business going on there. I use to take my Toyota to do all servicing for years. Oil changes, tire rotations, safety recalls, etc. The past several visits have shown me how incompetent the staff are including not actually fixing things that were broken or attempting to charge me for repairing things covered by a recall. I brought in my vehicle for a recall on headlights. 1 headlight wasn't turning on, but the other was working fine. After 2 hours of waiting, they said they did a software update and I was ready to go. And I asked them "a software update fixed my headlight not turning on?" And the service advisor paused, looked down at his notes, and then said he will need a little more time to fix my headlight. 🤦🏻‍♂️Another time, I brought in my vehicle because my dashboard had warnings and the ODBII error codes indicated a hybrid/transistor malfunction. Beforehand, I did my research online and found the issue was covered by an active recall to fix it. I told the service advisor about the dashboard warning but not about the ODBII codes that I discovered nor the active recall. After 3 hours of diagnosing my vehicle, the service advisor said the fix would be $4000. I asked the service advisor if any recalls applied and he said no. I then asked "What error codes did the technician find?" After he said the error codes that matched the recall, I asked "Can you look up recall XYZ and tell me why it doesn't apply?" He looked up the recall number that I gave him. After studying the recall information, he then changed his story and said my fix would be covered. That was a $4000 job I almost had to pay if I didn't have more knowledge than their service staff. Another time I brought in my vehicle for a faulty brake system. They gave me a diagnosis of 3 failed brake parts and the repair would cost $3800. I declined the repair since the value of the vehicle was already low. He said "I can work with you on pricing and see if I can reduce the cost a little bit" as if their repair pricing is negotiable like buying a car. I was hesitant to OK the repair. Then, he said if I OK the repair "in the next 30 minutes," they can get the parts tomorrow, but if not, it would take 5 days to get the parts. It's a classic pressure tactic for selling. That's some shady stuff right there. I still declined the repair. Then, after declining the repair, the service advisor said they couldn't give me a printout of the part numbers and "the system wouldn't let him." Even though I paid $180 to diagnose my car problems, they couldn't provide the defective parts nor part numbers to me. Very shady business going on here. Toyota is a decent company. North Park Toyota isn't.

I wish there was a way to give no stars. Absolutely atrocious service, wait time, and customer care. I arrived for my oil change appointment at 11:30 am today… it is now 2:30 pm. After I was told it was a hour and a half wait. For a simple oils change. What is the point of making an appointment if your vehicle won’t be worked on for 3 hours? Avoid this place at all cost and just do it yourself.

Never buying another car from here again .. they sold us the extended coverage and the only thing we would have to pay out of pocket would be brakes and rotors .. it was supposed to cover all stuff done, scheduled services etc .. If you have any service done its the same "it needs an alignment or a service that's it doesn't need done ..worst of all the service writers said that's how they get you...

Was totally misinformed on the phone about what they could do for a $179 diagnostic. Was told they would check my car from top to bottom and tell me what problems it has etc. Now I am informed it will he $350 MORE to tell me what the problem is?!?! Then they never called me I had to call them after they said the car would be diagnosed within a couple hours, which turned into almost 6 hours now. They did NOT mention any additional charges now I am forced to pay the initial $179 that they "quoted" me and still won't know what the problem is . Don't go here try another dealer bc these guys told me over the phone it wasn't going to be more than $179 to diagnose it

I am incredibly disappointed with the service I received today. I scheduled an 20k mile service and a recall check for 9 AM, and the service writer assured me it would take roughly three hours for the entire process. Despite this, there was a complete lack of communication from the staff throughout the day. When I checked back at 1:30 PM, I was informed that they hadn’t even started the work yet. The 20k mile service, a typically quick procedure, wasn’t completed until about 2:50 PM, meaning I waited nearly six hours. To make matters worse, they did not perform the two recall checks I was scheduled for, requiring me to go through this process again on another day. This inefficiency cost me a day off work and the added expense of arranging childcare, all for a service that should have been straightforward. The lack of timely service and communication was unprofessional and unacceptable. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed by the experience and the disregard for my time.

I recently visited Toyota North Park for a pre-scheduled 1 PM oil change, expecting efficient service as promised when the appointment was booked by their staff. However, my experience fell considerably short of expectations, leading to disappointment and inconvenience. Upon my timely arrival, I was instructed to wait, but after nearly an hour with no update, I noticed my car had not even been moved to the service area. Inquiry revealed that my vehicle had not been started on, with the explanation that it was still queued behind others, contrary to the point of having an appointment. I was then informed of an additional hour’s wait, which was unacceptable due to my commitments. Faced with this unexpected delay and lack of proactive communication, I had no option but to cancel the service to meet a personal obligation. This situation not only wasted my time but also showed a surprising disregard for customer appointments and schedules. This experience has unfortunately tarnished my perception of Toyota North Park, compelling me to reconsider future visits. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, highlighting the need for improved communication and adherence to scheduled appointments to enhance customer service.

Sucks parts department never answered

Do not bother making an appointment. I drove over an hour. All to say they didn’t have the proper materials to work on my car and to come back. There was nothing they can do when I was told to make an appointment to keep this from happening. Service manager was not apologetic nor did anything to help the situation. Kept explaining what should have been done. When how was I suppose to know if I’m not a service employee. Kept going on about what I should I do in future visits but never explained what he could do for me at that very moment, for my waisted time, and the mis communications on the dealers part. Definitely lost me as a customer. Be better. Horrible service.

Don’t bother making an appointment with their scheduling system. We made an appointment and got there 10 minutes early but still wasn’t seen for 30 min and then we were told that it would be another hour and a half to get an oil change. We left and the attendant didn’t seem to care when we told him we were disappointed. I’ve bought 10 or so vehicles from this location since it opened but will never return for any reason.

I want to give a special shoutout to Jaysun Leyva in the North Park Toyota Service Department, I really appreciated his help throughout the entire process of getting my car serviced, he went above & beyond to make sure I was taken care of, he & his techs also made sure I made it out in a timely fashion since I did decide to wait for my car instead of dropping it off. Jaysun exceeded my expectations & because of this, I look forward to doing more business with North Park Toyota in the future!

WORTHLESS. Both sales & service. I will never do business here again. Sales: Super shady both when I bought my 2023 Camry and again a few months later when I wanted to trade in the 2023 Camry and my 2020 Tacoma. Tried lowballing me on both but luckily I knew what I had and walked away. Which is what my recommendation is to anyone thinking about buying a car here! Service: A rock hit the condenser on the 2023 Camry. They gave me an estimate of $1k. No problem, told them to go ahead and fix it. Then I show up the next day to pick up my car and my total is $1700. They claim the estimate was only for labor. WHAT KIND OF SHOP DOESN’T INCLUDE PARTS & LABOR ON AN ESTIMATE?! I will be filing a claim on my insurance but it makes me sick they got paid instead of an actual reputable shop.

I’ve bout 6 vehicles from this place great buying customer service. BUT worse repair service went in for oil change was told I needed a new battery and new battery terminal so I had them replace them. While driving off my ac wouldn’t start right away so I took it back and manger want to charge me 3000.00 to see what was wrong with it. They crazy as Hell their customer service department is a rip off. Due to this I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM NORTH PARK TOYOTA AGAIN.

My fiancé and I recently bought a new car from north park Toyota and Alyssa was great!!! She was very helpful and understanding and not pushy at all!! GO AHEAD AND ASK FOR ALYSSA!!

Never use them for service. They over price, over charge, and up sell horribly. You’ve been warned. They quoted me a price that was 50% over what another Toyota dealership also quoted on the same $2k job. Another guy next to me had the same experience and he left angry. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

Once that warranty runs out, be ready to hand them $700 (and up) every time you see them.

Slow and no communication. Transparency non-existent. Having to approach the service advisors constantly over a 2.5 hr period for a simple oil changeNo time expectation. Free coffee though. Schedule accordingly

Went in to get my suv serviced. Oil change, filter, and some minor things to look at. Car is under standard warranty still. I got there and Pricilla asked that I was in a hurry. I said no. So we went in and she couldn’t pull the items I put on the appointment. So I went over them with her and she said they need me to sign a diag fee $179 x2 for two of the issues I complained about even though the car is under warranty. Tpms system malfunctioned, and second row seat rattling bad over rough roads. I told her I wasn’t signing anything as the car is under warranty. She refused to service me with that, and also since I had an appointment I was willing to give her all morning to look at it. I live 30 miles a way and can’t just leave the car. They wanted it all day. Appointments do not guarantee time work will be done. I asked, ok, can I get your cheapest rental then? She said we don’t give those out unless the car needs to stay overnight. I said even if I am paying for it??? She then said the mgr wasn’t in so she couldn’t check on that. At that point it was obvious they didn’t want to help the customer. I got frustrated and walked out. I won’t return to this dealership for service again. They also overcharge for their services. Over double what I paid at another dealer for oil changes or any service. I just had the oil change done elsewhere, and found out that their tech whoever did the last oil change left the old gasket on the filter housing and put a new one on top of it. So double gaskets. It was leaking and they fixed it at this other shop. Thankfully i didn’t have a major leak or it would have ruined the engine. Not sure what kind of people you are hiring for oil changes but someone needs to verify their work. Be warned if you use this dealer. All the reviews about bad service is true.

Always use north park to service all my vehicles
Nov 27, 2022
Do not service your oil change here! The oil filter housing was tightened so much that I cannot, nor could another oil change place, remove it. Toyota recommends 25 NM torque. I cannot remove it with the specialty tool and a breaker bar. I have a toyota that I cannot drive! This is not acceptable.

đź‘ŽABSOLUTELY TIRED of AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! HEADACHE & STRESSED from this entire HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Starting w/mrg. FRED DURAN. Had brake & a/c repair on my vehicle yesterday 09/26. As soon as I left there was a horrible noise coming from brakes. Called to speak w/service advisor that assisted me. Left message NEVER received callback. I then called to speak w/service manager FRED DURAN. I WAS NOT ALLOWED to speak with FRED DURAN. Not sure why, woman who answered call in service dept. did not transfer my call to FRED DURAN or let me leave a message. Phone answering woman was also EXTREMELY RUDE. I CALLED AGAIN today 09/27 and was treated unprofessional and rudely. So NORTH PARK TOYOTA is fine with unsatisfied customers getting incomplete work on vehicle. CYNTHIA phone operator was RUDE, who answers phone to transfer to certain dept. ASHLEY in service dept. is not very knowledgeable and talks only to hear herself. Been a regular customer for over 10 years. Loyalty obviously no longer matters anymore with NORTH PARK TOYOTA and MANAGEMENT.
