5 STARS! North Raleigh Automotive & Radiator Service did a professional job installing a new water pump, belt, and thermostat on my 2007 Buick! My car was leaking fluid and I was desperate to have repaired. Neil gave me a very reasonable repair quote and the final repair bill was even less than the quote. While I was at the shop, Neil was very honest and patient with me as he answered my many questions before and after the repairs were done and I very much appreciate that. I also can't thank Neil enough for the prompt communication (including email), courtesy, and transparent diagnosis of what my car needed and didn't need. I sensed honesty and experience in Neil. Not sure who actually worked on my car but I thank that person very much for the outstanding professional detailed job on the repairs and treating my car with respect including not leaving scratches and dings! My car has been running like new since Neil and his team repaired it! Overall, the business is very clean and well organized and I find that a good sign of well run business. Before finding North Raleigh Automotive & Radiator Service, I contacted three other repair shops in the area and immediately decided to never let them touch my car. Good honest auto repair shops are hard to find these days so North Raleigh Automotive & Radiator Service is my one and only car repair shop from now on! Thanks Neil, 5 STARS! Being from out of state, I was lucky to find this place. They made me an appointment the same week I called. I originally made an appointment to diagnose the problem. I suspected I'd make another appointment to get it fixed. They gave me an estimate. And we got the parts coming. Fixed it that same day! Because I did not have a ride. I had to wait in the showroom the entire time. There were a lot of people coming to drop vehicles off. I talked with a few people that were also waiting. They told me it's the only place around that you should go to have work done on your vehicle. I feel the same way. I hope this review helps someone else that is looking for a place to go in need of vehicle repairs.

How I've lived here for 34 years and not known about this place is beyond me! I have a 1970 Plymouth that was being restored until the restorer passed away in 2016. We never got to fix the AC. A guy on Nextdoor recommended this place and what a gold mine! The owner is a straight shooter - said he'd have a look and try to fix - not really having any idea what wasn't working (compressor etc.) they were able to fix it - in a day!! I was bracing for a steep price - but they were beyond fair. I will be back and I highly recommend!!

I’ve been in the area for over 4 years now! Neal and his team are the BEST! He’s always up front and honest. These guys are the only mechanics me and my husband let service ANYTHING on our vehicles!

Oh boy. Look at the couple of negative reviews. Sounds to me like we’re dealing with a bunch of arrogant crybabies. Especially saying that these guys are not friendly. I’ve been going to North Raleigh radiator and Automotive for 25+ years, and never, not once a bad experience. When they do it the first time, they do it right. Nothing is cheap, but their pricing is better than fair. Their work is top quality. I’ve known Neil, Woody, and John for a long time, and they would accept nothing but the best from their work they do. I highly recommend these guys more than any other automotive service center out there. You definitely will not be let down.

Neil and Woody were very courteous, kind and honest when taking on fixing my old Ford. They were willing to dig in and research when the part they ordered didn't fit. I'm very appreciative as not a lot of people will even work on it, much less keep at it until they figure it out. I actually felt kind of bad that it was such a pain! It's driving great now and I will definitely use them again for my truck & car maintenance needs.

I try to repair car issues on my own, but sometimes i just can't figure it out. Last week, i couldn't figure it out so i came to the sad realization that I would have to go to a shop and have them look at the car. My girlfriend recommended this shop. She took her car to them a couple weeks ago, and had no issues with the service. I decided to go with this shop too, and i'm glad I did. Friendly, fast, and fair. After doing business with this shop, those are the 3 words that I would use to describe them. Absolutely no complaints from my gf or myself.

I’ve been taking my car here for years even before they changed location. They always do a quick, thorough, and high quality job. I trust the mechanics completely; they’ve never tacked on any fake repairs or tried to drive up the bill with unnecessary fees. All the staff is accommodating, reliable, and friendly. I highly recommend you get all your repairs and inspections done here!

The only place I’ve come to rely on. Neal and the team take the time to explain problems to you and how the parts actually work. They are not here to screw you over or convince you to pay for things you don’t need. Finding a reliable and trustworthy mechanic to work on your vehicle is difficult and these guys make it easy.

Recently they looked at some things that a car dealership said i needed done. They checked the oils that they said needed changing and instead of just doing that, the mechanics looked at it, then said I didn't need it AND explained why I didn't. Phew! Saved me a bunch of $$
