Our vehicle broke down suddenly while on the highway near Gaylord. The towing company we used recommended this garage in Gaylord and I am happy they did. Our break down happened at the end of the work day but they agreed to service our vehicle the next morning. They were able to give our vehicle a thorough inspection and get us on the road again the next day at lunchtime. It was reassuring to hear them say the vehicle was safe to get us home. We had to spend one night in Gaylord and it was also nice to hear good things about this place from some of the locals. Thanks again Cathy and the rest.

Was taking my Escape to Northern Baer for all repairs until the engine just gave up and so did I. They were great at keeping it running for me. Now I'm driving my new to me (used) Jeep. Had to take it in for major repairs about a month and a half ago before I could really even drive it. I was expecting at least a week to be without it. They had it done in 3 days. Amazing! Then today, had 3 lights come on my dash. Called and they had me bring it right in. Checked it out and fixed it. I was out of there in about an hour. Can't thank them enough. Great family repair shop!

I just had my vehicle in I brought it in because it shut off well I was driving i was charged a 2 hr diagnostic fee for them to tell me the problem was a hose bracket the broke of and hit the starter i go and pick it up to fix the hose and fitting to find out the hose bracket that was broken was a cat bracket not a hose bracket and the original reason I asked for a diagnostic wasn't even diagnosed ai figured out my alternator was bad was all it was don't trust this shop

Great Service, they got back to me super fast with a quote and went above and beyond with Customer Service picking me up the following morning to get my truck. Will definitely be back when needed and Absolutely Recommend them

Took my truck in for a check engine light that had been on for some time. There scheduling was relatively quick to get me in and the turnaround time on the repair was fast and accurate. Very friendly staff at the front desk. Price was very fair for the work that was done. Would definitely recommend people here for automotive repair!

These wonderful honest people told me the estimated $600 repair on my auto was not necessary. The mechanic who diagnosed the problem is no longer with them because of similar misdiagnosis. All the necessary parts had been ordered and on hand, but a recheck, for which I was not charged, determined the problem was not related to the false diagnosis. This honesty and forthrightness is rare and invaluable.

Baer Auto Repair isn’t asleep at the wheel. Rather they provided friendly customer service with a smile, quoted a fair price, thanked me for my military service, and did a bang up job changing all pads and rotors on my daughter’s 2018 Chevy Equinox. On time and complete repair as quoted. Thanks Baer Auto! :)

I'm not sure if they are just being nice to me or if they treat all customers this way but I couldn't be happier to have them as my local mechanic. I've been bringing my vehicles here since I moved to Gaylord 5 years ago and they have never tried to oversell me or upsell me on services I don't actually need. They have always given me options to repair or replace if needed. When oil change places told me I needed expensive services they fact checked them and told me what I really need and don't need and then did the service cheaper than I was quoted. They text me to check in on my car if I need anything and allow me to ask questions and schedule services through text which is helpful when working. For as long as I live in this area they will be the only place I bring my car for service. Thanks for being an outstanding business in this day when others love to overcharge and quote services you don't need just to make more money off their customers! I appreciate the "old school" customer service!

We utilized Baer Auto Repair to do an inspection on a car we were considering for my son per a recommendation from local car dealership. The inspection was so thorough and well explained ..we were blown away by the professionalism of this place. I'm amazed!!!! My 2014 Jeep, which I bought used, started lagging and bogged down when I would hit about 40mph and take my foot off the accelerator and then hit the gas. It was driving me crazy. The person I bought it from said he spent about $500 getting it fixed (something about the fuel injector, etc) so it should not be a problem again. But the problem occurred so I took it to Northern Baer Auto Repair in Gaylord. Smart move! They drove it a few different times until it duplicated what I said was happening. No lights came on to indicate a problem, but they were diligent and fixed it. They replaced the spark plugs (which were the original plugs from 2014 but I didn't know that) and replaced the boots. Now it drives like a dream. I appreciate their honest service and fairness as some places may charge you for stuff that didn't even need replacing. I will definitely go back with any car issues and I highly recommend them. And they were very friendly too!

Worst beginning of the new year! I had my car towed to Northern Baer Auto Repair. It basically sat for almost 3 months, simply because I couldn't afford to pay to get it fixed right away. They worked with me all the way through. And didn't even charge me lot rent, as I was taking up space. The end result was Awesome 😎 They worked with me in every way possible. If the need arises, hopefully not anytime soon! I will be choosing them for any or ongoing repairs if needed. Thanks for everything 👍😉✔️

We sent our Jeep Wrangler to them for an electrical problem that was a needle in a haystack to find.The guys that worked on my jeep especially Lenny had his work cut out for him as this was not an easy fix.Our jeep was down for over a month and even the dealership couldn't figure it out.Thank god that Lenny was on top of it and doing his research and making calls otherwise "Betty White" would still be sitting.Thank you to Courtney ,Lenny and the rest of the crew for taking this job on and not giving up.Ill never be able to express how grateful I am for you all!!

Amazing people, amazing service. I had a breakdown on a Friday morning and they fit me in that day and drove me home. I was kept apprised of the situation throughout the day. Since the brand name part my car requires is on backorder for several months, they tried off brand parts. When the first one did not work, they had another brought in from Traverse City. When that one failed as well, they were able to clean up my original part to make it run until a new one is available. Still working like a charm after two months. I had another issue recently, unrelated to the first one. They were able to fit me in first thing the following morning and it was done in time for me to get to work. I was driven back and forth from the shop to my house. I highly recommend Northern Baer and I won't take my car anywhere else.

I had a out of town break down Josh and his shop were speedy and great to work with. There was an issue a few days later with the part and they backed it up with my local repair shop immediately. Bestand honest repeat shop wouldn't hesitate to refer them
