Robert went above and beyond for my car with a very difficult to find leak. I can't imagine any other shop operating in such a professional and fair manner as Northwest. I 100% believe this is the best shop in Bakersfield. I probably shouldn't post this because I don't want it to get harder to get service but it is well deserved. 10 STARS!

Robert is a very good person. Very knowledgeable and personable. The owner of the business however is in my opinion an OCD arrogant prick. Why do I say this? Well, as a professional mechanic, mostly working on Mercedes Benz in dealers since 1978, he was by far THE worst, most controlling boss I've ever had and believe me when I say I've had quite a few over the years. He almost pulled a shot gun on me in the office one day. Three stars because Robert is such an amazing guy to work with, otherwise 1 star because that's the minimum score I can give

Hands down the best Mechanic in Kern county. Robert is incredibly kind, and has amazing old fashion values. I could write a list a mile long about how much I love Northwest auto! I was having the absolute worst luck getting a tow truck, so he came to my house himself and temporarily fixed the issue to be able to drive my car to his shop and fix it there and then offered to drop it back off to me when my car was finished. You truly just can’t find people/business like this anymore. I will be a lifelong costumer!

Robert is one the most honest mechanic’s I’ve met Knowledgeable, easy to talk to and fair pricing, I currently send company vehicles and my personal vehicles to him. If you’re having vehicle problems I recommend giving him a try.

Robert installed a new (jasper) crate motor in my truck , quality work and in a timely manner , it was a lemon engine and needed replacement immediately, robert once again in a professional timely manner replaced it , without as much as a sour tone in his voice, robert has helped me out on the drop of a dime as if I was family, I could go on about the quality and professionalism of this business, but I'll end with a huge thank you robert !

I feel so jerked around. I got a tune-up and when I picked it up the lady couldn't tell me what had been done to it. What fluids they had changed other than the oil and I paid over $200 then charged me over $100 to put 1/2 lb of freon! They charge a base $88.40 for any type of regular maintenance service! EDIT: The owner has since called me and cleared up any confusion that I had and even went as far as to offer a FREE OIL CHANGE with a fluid top off to make up for the price I would have gotten at another shop that may have been running a special. It takes a lot to admit a mistake and try to fix it. He was very nice and helpful. They are worth giving a try.
